A Celebration of Sir Knight Anthony Valentine Kallal's life will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 12810 - 111 Avenue, with Father Vic Perron main celebrant and con-celebrants, Father Nilo Macapinlac and Father Ted Wesolowski. The Mass will be followed by a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery (14611 Mark Messier Trail, St. Albert). Visitation and Prayer Services will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton on Tuesday, January 4 and Wednesday, January 5 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00p.m. Anthony, the fifth boy of Charles and Frances (deceased) is survived by his beloved wife Julie Kraychy, children (from first wife Jacqueline, deceased) Denise (Ray) Hoger, Lawrence, Bernard, Albert, Lorena (Scott) Negro, Susan, Roseanne and Richard (deceased); four siblings Constance Hatherton, Margaret Dickson, Dorothy (Louis) Shewchuk and Lawrence (Terry); three granddaughters Jackie Negro, Monica and Bridgette Hoger; two stepsons Nick and Tony Kraychy; and many nephews and nieces. Entrepreneur and athletic Anthony was an experienced mining engineer but retired as a pharmacist. His active social life with family and friends included significant contributions to humanity comprised of leading and/or serving 2 KofC organizations, St. Michael Assembly and Nazareno Council, a charitable organization New Home Immigration & Settlement Centre, two non-profit associations, Society for the Improvement of Caregiving & Educational Services and the Edmonton Pregnancy Crisis Centre where memorial donations could be made c/o 10227 - 130 Street Edmonton, AB. Mary Dawson nee: Logelin, of Courtenay
Dawson (Logelin) — Mary Rose, formerly of Richdale and Youngstown, passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2003 at Glacier View Lodge, Courtenay, BC.
Mary was born in Seven Persons, AB on May 31st, 1914, the fifth of nine children.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Lucille Logelin; her husband Jim in 1982; and her brothers Frank, John, Charlie, Joe, Jim and George.
She will be remembered and sadly missed by her four children: William (Gaynor) Dawson, Cochrane, AB; Lucille (Garry) Richardson, Comox, BC; Verona (Philip) Gladstone, Skidegate, BC; and John (Heather) Dawson, Campbell River, BC.
Mary is also survived by her sister Ellen Dylke, Daysland, AB; and her brother Ben (Eve) Logelin, Youngstown, AB. Left to treasure her memory and to live her great legacy are her nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was passionately devoted to her family. She also took great pleasure in working on her beautiful puffed quilts and various crafts, which she generously donated to local charities.
Family and friends will be gathering for prayers on Thursday July 3rd, 2003 at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 4th, 2003. Both services will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Campbell River, Father Joseph Killoran and Father Bill MacDonald celebrants. A reception will be held in the church hall following the funeral.

Annie Brunner, of Red Deer
Annie Brunner of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the age of 57 years. Annie was born on August 24, 1947 at Hanna, Alberta. She was raised on the farm and attended school in Scapa, Alberta. Annie graduated from the Hanna High School.
She loved riding horseback in her younger years and helped her parents tend the farm. Annie was employed with Travelaire Trailer in Red Deer from 1969 until 1994. She enjoyed knitting, painting and gardening, as well as reading, doing puzzles and loved watching word games on television. She loved her pet cat, Suzzie and they were the best of friends.
Annie will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Annie leaves to mourn her loss, her two brothers, Edward (Julita) of Vancouver, British Columbia, Bernie (Rose) of Canmore, Alberta (presently living in Kuwait) and her sister, Ella (John) Leniuk of Calgary, Alberta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Annie was predeceased by her mother, Marie Brunner in 1987, her father, Tony Brunner in 1992 and two brothers, Phil and Jack, both in 1992.
Prayers will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with The Reverend Father Joseph Dephoff, S.A.C. celebrant. Interment will follow at the Red Deer Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Annie’s honour may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 1X2 or to a Charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Graham and the nursing staff and caregivers at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.

KING, JUNE ALMA
On December 21, 2010 June Alma King passed away due to complications from surgery. She was predeceased by husband Louis Yee King in 1989. She will be dearly and lovingly missed by her long time companion and best friend Gary Morrison and his family. Business acquaintances will surely miss her. At her request there will be no service. Interment and a private ceremony at later date.

Margaret Douglass nee: Clyne, of Gem
Margaret Douglass of Gem, Alberta passed away peacefully at Brooks on September 25, 2004 at the age of 78 years.
She was born on October 26, 1925 at Bassano, Alberta and grew up on the Clyne family farm near Countess, Alberta. She took Grades One to Nine in a one room school there and Grades Ten to Twelve in Bassano where she lived in residence. She attended Normal School in Calgary where she graduated with a teaching certificate. Her first school was a one room school at Range Coulee (North Gem). She left Range Coulee School to teach Grades 1, 2 and 3 at Alcoma School in Rainier.
She married Gordon Douglass on August 18, 1949. She returned to Range Coulee to teach as Mrs. Douglass.
Margaret and Gordon's first child Lorraine Elizabeth was born in April 1953 and passed away in December of 1953. There were three more children born to them, two girls Dorothy Louise and Dulcie Jean and a boy Leslie John Gordon.
Margaret worked with her husband and in 1954, they founded Finnegan Farming Company to do oilfield construction and maintenance as well as the farming.
She was very active in her community, volunteering with the Home & School; Ladies Auxiliary; teaching Sunday School; leading 4-H for 15 years; the Gem Historical Society, working on two community history books and Homecomings in 1989 and 2000; the Gem Jubilee Library; Gem Rural Fire Association and the Gem Home Support Group. She canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society, Red Cross and Heart and Stroke for more than 25 years. She was a County Councilor for 18 years, also serving as Reeve.
Margaret dedicated her life to her family, her community and her God. She resided on the farm she came to as a newlywed until her passing.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1975, daughter Lorraine; sisters Jean Slorstad and Betty Marquardt; brothers Jim Clyne, Bob Clyne and Angus Clyne.
Margaret is survived by her children Louise (Carl) Beasley and their children Elsie, Lee, Brandin and Patrick; Dulcie (Bruce) Beasley and their children John and Jean (Lane) Lucas; Leslie (Tonja) Douglass and their children Nathan, Eric and Erin; great grandchildren Jay, Carley, Shaymus and Kenzie; two brothers John (Barbara) Clyne and Sandy (Borghild) Clyne; sisters-in-law Maureen Clyne, Dulcie Cox and Helena Douglass; brother-in-law Tiny Slorstad and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30 at 2 p.m. from the Gem Mennonite Church with the Rev. Jake Doerksen and Rev. Barry Breker officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are all of Margaret's many friends. Active Pallbearers are Randy Galarneau, Brad Slorstad, David Clyne, John Douglass, Patrick Cox and Reuben Paetkau.
