She is survived by her loving children, John, Harry, Kathy, Norman, Susan, Maggie, Doris, Yvonne, Roy, Debbie, Fern; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. JUDD -- Irene May Judd of Calgary passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 1997 at the age of 72 years. She is survived by her loving husband Harvey; three children, David (Hillary), Marilyn (Paul), Gordon (Priscilla); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Sam; as well as numerous relatives and friends. KIMMEL -- Bryan Herbert Kimmel passed away suddenly on October 21, 1997 while vacationing in Albufeira, Portugal. Left to mourn are his loving wife Barbara Thompson; mother-in-law Mona Thompson of Calgary; his parents, Herbert and Phyllis Kimmel; grandmother Esther Kimmel, all of Kamloops; grandfather Ernest Harding of Langley; and two sisters, Karen (Todd) Clark of Calgary, and Kathy, currently attending University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon; also two nephews, Cody and Tyler Clark of Calgary; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends. Bryan was born in Ocean Falls, BC and attended school in Prince George and Kamloops, graduating from Kamloops Sr. Secondary School in 1980. He went on to attend U.C.C. before moving to Calgary to attend the U of C. He also received a certification in Avionics from SAIT. He graduated from U of C with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences. Bryan married Barbara in 1991 and was associated with Digi Rule Inc. as a Software Engineer. Bryan and Barbara travelled extensively to the USA, Mexico and Europe and enjoyed golfing and skiing and bowling. LIEFF -- Bernie (Bernard Charles) died peacefully after a courageous battle with the cancer Multiple Myeloma on October 25, 1997 in Victoria, B.C. at the age of 55 years. Bernie is survived by his wife of thirty years, Joy in Victoria, and his daughter Dayna in Claresholm, Alberta. Also left to mourn are Bernie's parents, Vera and Abe Lieff; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Dick Payne; niece Julie and nephew Robin of Victoria; Bernie's in-laws, Sheila and Murray Garnett of Victoria; and family members, Maureen, Reg, Robin and Gennie Dunkley, Joan and Bob Shakeshaft, Tim and Jenny Smart are also saddened by his passing. Bernie will be remembered by his friends and colleagues at Parks Canada where he worked for twenty-six years and strived to impart his strong conservation ethic. Bernie's family wish to thank Dr. Dean Ruether and the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their care and support during Bernie's treatment. RATCLIFFE -- passed away suddenly in Lethbridge on Monday, October 27, 1997, Mrs. Martha Ratcliffe, at the age of 70 years, beloved wife of the late Mr. Allan Ratcliffe, of Lethbridge. Martha is survived by three daughters, Martha (Lyle Smith) Ratcliffe of Fort Macleod, Penny (Ian) Chapman of Lomond and Lesley Alice (Daryl) Kirby of Calgary; and six grandsons. Martha was predeceased by her husband Allan on August 26, 1997. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 1997 in MARTIN BROS. ROUTHIER -- Martin Joseph Routhier of Calgary, passed away suddenly October 24, 1997 at the age of 48 years. He is survived by his mother Margaret Routhier of Alexandria, Ontario; his brothers and sisters, Betty Coleman (Blaine) of Edmonton, Allan Routhier of Whitehorse, Yukon, Mary Gagnon (Michael) of Nepean, Ont., and Don Routhier (Roberta) of Williamstown, Ont.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Martin was born and raised in the Alexandria area on the family farm. After completing High School, he moved to Calgary in 1972 and worked for Petro Canada Tanker Division for nineteen years.
