ALLEN, Arla Joe Lettishe "Joe" On Wednesday, June 7, 2000 Mrs. Joe Allen of Drayton Valley, formerly of Violet Grove, passed away at the age of 82 years. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish fond memories, her loving family, son, Lee (Iris) of Claresholm, AB and their children, Susan and Kevin; daughters, Eunice (Dave) Dilworth of Dawson Creek, B.C. and their children, Arla, Shelley and Colleen; Dona (Wilf) Paul of Red Deer, AB and their children, Bonnie and Mark; Faith (Jim) Van Manen of Drayton Valley and their daughter, Dusty; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Prosser of Chauvin, AB and Lela Stecyk of Ontario; numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by her husband, Maynard in 1992; son, Lanny in 1989; and granddaughter, Jenny Van Manen in 1996. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Drayton Valley Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Dwayne Henley officiating. Interment at Riverview Community Cemetery. BOORSE, Frank Herbert On Thursday, June 8, 2000, Frank Boorse of Sherwood Park, Alberta passed away at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Hazel; three children, Terry (Elaine), Anne (Gary) Stordahl, Allister (Linda); four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Predeceased by his parents; one brother and one sister. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at Salisbury United Church, 2 Mission Street, Sherwood Park, Albera. BROOKS, Adrienne Anne Mrs. Adrienne Brooks of Camrose, passed away accidentally on Thursday, June 1, 2000 at the age of 33 years. Adrienne was a unique and talented individual. She had a special interest in interior decorating, and ceramics. This was evident in all aspects of life. She also had a very positive influence on everyone she met. Her bubbly personality and smile touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and she was very fond of children. Adrienne also had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her cats. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Darren; her mother, Sheena Weiers of Saskatoon; and her brother, James (Heather) Weiers of Long Bottom, Ontario; her grandmothers, Francis Weiers, and Jean Lees. Adrienne is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Bob (Audrey) Brooks of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan; her sister-in-law, Deborah (Sheldon) Peifer of Nipawin, Saskatchewan; nephews, Greg and Colby; her brother-in-law, Jeff (Cindy) Brooks of Whitecourt; niece Brittany; and nephew, Brett; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Adrienne was predeceased by her father, Al Weiers; grandfathers, Norbert Weiers, and Earnest Lees. CHERRY, Mabel Edith (nee Dart) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mabel Cherry of Edmonton on June 8, 2000. DOBKO, Anne On June 7, 2000 Anne Dobko of Edmonton, formerly of Calmar, went to be with her Lord at the age of 92 years. She was born in 1908 at Telfordville, Alberta. Anne is survived by four sons, Mike, Edward (Anne), Serge (Pat), Nestor (Eleanore); one daughter, Mildred; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Metro in March of 1993; three daughters; and one grandson. Prayers will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Barbara's Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Edmonton (10105-96 Street). ELIAS, Braidy William April 2, 2000 - June 8, 2000 Our Precious Angel and Gift from God has gone to be with his Heavenly Father. He will be lovingly missed by his parents, Jason and Cherie Elias; grandparents, Bill and Jean Elias and Yvette Brisebois.
