BARDOEL, Julie Laine On Saturday, June 17, 2000, Julie Bardoel of Vermilion passed away tragically in Lloydminster at the age of 15 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, parents, John and Laurie Bardoel of Vermilion; sisters, Carmen (Sheldon) Wandler, Brandie Bardoel (and special friend Warren Haverslew) and Robyn Bardoel all of Vermilion; maternal grandparents, Sam and Alma Lundholm of Vermilion; paternal grandfather, Alphonse Bardoel of Clandonald; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, June 23, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Name Roman Catholic Church - Vermilion with Father Eduardo Escober officiating. Interment will follow at the Vermilion Public Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the STARS Air Ambulance or the charity of the donor's choice. BEATON, Frederick Gordon December 22, 1907 - June 17, 2000 On June 17, 2000 Frederick Gordon Beaton of Edmonton, formerly of Lethbridge, passed away at the age of 92 years. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered by his son, Norman (Mary) Beaton of Edmonton; grandsons, Randy (Monica) Neilson and Chris (Roxanne); granddaughter, Cynthia Neilson; great-grandsons, Bradley, Dustin, Brayden and Nathan Neilson; sister, Mary Middlebrough of Barrhead; brother, Robert Beaton of Fort Saskatchewan; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his wife, Veronica (Ronny); children, twin daughters, Eleonor and Ellen Beaton; daughter, Muriel (Neilson) Reeder; son, Gordon Ronald; brother, Bill; sisters, Florence Dryden and Violet Hall. Gordon was a long time employee of North Western Utilities (Atco). A special thank-you to all the staff of Keir Care Centre, Barrhead for their special care and dedication. Funeral Service Friday, June 23 at 1:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709-111 Avenue. Cremation will follow in Park Memorial Crematorium. BOWEN, Alfred H. On June 18, 2000 Mr. Alfred H. Bowen of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years. Alfred will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Alma; one son, Greg (Karen); two daughters, Barb and Trish (Walter); nine grandchildren; one brother, Stan (Elsie); two sisters, Carma and Mildred. BOWIE (MOBERG), Violet On Thursday, June 15, 2000, Mrs. Violet Ursula Bowie (nee Gustmann) of Edmonton, passed away at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her second husband, Allan Bowie on June 13, 1997. Violet is survived by one son, Willie (Vivian), one daughter, Sheila; first husband and dear friend, Eddie Moberg; granddaughter, Cathy (Garth) Sanderson; and three great-grandchildren, Crystal, Cory, and Chloe; three sisters, Ada (Leonard), Adela (Clifford) and Clara; one brother, William (Lois); nephews, Tom and Ray in Washington, USA; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Foster & McGarvey Funeral Chapel, 10008 - 103 Street. Reverend John Burrill will officiate and cremation will take place in the Foster & McGarvey Crematorium. BRACUK, Alexander (Ted) April 3, 1931 - June 18, 2000 passed away peacefully at the Grey Nuns Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 69. He is survived by Norma, his wife of 45 years; children, Darlene Bligh of Vancouver, B.C., Allan (Tanya), Michael, Linda (Brad) Desabrais, Chris (Cheryl) of Grande Prairie; grandchildren, Alexis and Joe Bracuk; twin brother, Bill (Margaret) of St. Catherines, ON, Aunt Nellie Blatnick; numerous nieces and nephews and relatives. Predeceased by his father, Alexander; mother and step-father, Mary and Walter Drobot. BROWN, Marie "May" Eileen (Bowcott) Marie "May" Eileen Brown (Bowcott) passed away on May 5, 2000 in Danville, California after an extended illness. Death was caused by complications resulting from pneumonia. She was born in Cardiff, Alberta on April 2, 1916. May was widowed twice and for the last 20 years has lived in the United States. She is survived by her son, Syd Bowcott of Chicago, Illinois; her daughter, Sandi McKae of Danville, California; five grandchildren; and two sisters. A Memorial Service will be held June 24, 2000, 1:30 p.m. at St. Stephens Theological College in Edmonton, Alberta, followed by interment at Edmonton Cemetery. BRUSKY, Erna Erna Brusky died June 18, 2000 after a short illness, at the age of 87 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her only child, Valentine Troppmann; her sister, Aline Boehler; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a nephew, niece and family. Erna also has several step children in Alberta and Saskatchewan and many friends from St. Nicholas Seniors Home. Erna's sense of humor and zest for life will be dearly missed. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for her at the Grey Nuns and Grandview Extended Care. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so one hour prior to the Funeral Service, which will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the Glenwood Funeral Home (52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park).
