HESHKA, George Edward Mr. George Edward Heshka passed away at the age of 52 years. George will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his mother, Lena of Hyas, Saskatchewan; his loving companion, Rozanne; daughters, Sherri (Trevor) of Edmonton and Tammy (Jason) of Edmonton; step-daughter, Charlene (James) of Edmonton; two granddaughters, Samantha and Jamie; two grandsons, Steven and Jade; step-grandson, Jesse; step-granddaughter, Hailey; two brothers, Boris (Marie) of Ardrossan and Gordon (Carolyn) of Edmonton; four sisters, Katherine (Ed) Reichert of Regina, Saskatchewan, Eileen (Ken) Griffith of Alsask, Saskatchewan, Marjorie Gray (Tom) of London, Ontario, Violet (Bill) Pynten of Edmonton and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. George was predeceased by his father, John on January 8, 1963. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 - 34 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Edmonton General Hospital, 13R22, 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5K 0L4. JABER, Wazeer Kelly On Saturday, June 17, 2000 Wazeer Jaber of Wainwright, Alberta passed away suddenly at Wainwright at the age of 20 years. He is survived by his loving family, his parents, Kelly and Najla Jaber of Wainwright; one sister, Ameera Jaber; two brothers, Ameer (Ruayda) Jaber and Jareer Jaber; one nephew, Zane Jabeer all of Wainwright, Alberta; two uncles from Edmonton, Salman Jaber and Marwan Jaber; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Funeral Service for the late Wazeer Jaber will be conducted on Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. from the Wainwright Elk's Hall, Wainwright. Interment will follow in the Wainwright Cemetery. If so desired, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Twin Arena Complex. Creech's Funeral Home, Todd and Harry Creech directors in care of all arrangements.

JOWETT, Alice Elizabeth On June 19, 2000, Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Jowett of Edmonton, widow of Charles Robert Jowett passed away at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Susie Jowett of Edmonton; one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Bill Macpherson of Edmonton; five grandchildren, Debra and Sandra Jowett, Douglas, Sharon and Anne Macpherson; and one great-granddaughter, Rachel. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and George Bishop. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Foster & McGarvey Funeral Chapel, 10008-103 Street. Reverend John Dowds will officiate and cremation will take place in the Foster & McGarvey Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice. KREC, Lorraine It is with great sorrow that the family of Lorraine Krec of Edmonton announce her passing on June 18, 2000 at the age of 64 years. Lorraine is survived by her loving children, daughter, Cynthia Henituik of Spruce Grove; son, Bernie Krec (Laure) of Edmonton; and daughter, Jill Brown (Barry) of Spruce Grove. Left to cherish her memory are her dear grandchildren, Joel, Chase and Hailey Henituik and their father, Fred, Carlee Krec and Jerrica, Jaycee and Jaxon Brown; sister, Evelyn Baron of Edmonton; brother, Herb Hennig of Stony Plain; special Goddaughter, Lori Lane of Morinville; and a host of many good friends. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Ben in 1980; parents, John and Amelia Hennig; three sisters, Anita, Helen and Johanna. Prayers Wednesday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709-111 Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Mass Thursday, June 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, 10020-100 Avenue, Morinville. Cremation has taken place in the Park Memorial Crematorium. LESIUK, Jennie Born in the Ukraine, October 6, 1901, died peacefully at Windsor Manor, Kelowna, B.C. on June 18, 2000. Our Heavenly Father reached down on Father's Day and gently took home the GIFT, that He had given us for so long. And when His mighty hand moved, He also granted one of Jennie's life long wishes. Since she was a child, she longed to look into the face of Jesus. Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Paul; her son, John and her daughter, Phyllis. She is survived by her loving children, two daughters, Patricia Kowalchuk, Willingdon, Alberta, Maxine (Harold) Kobi and son, Don (Carol) Lesiuk both of Kelowna, B.C.; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her Life was a life of quiet service and gentle unfailing love. Her sweet spirit touched so many people's lives. She showed us that God's love was a reality and not something hoped for and unseen. That faith in God was the true foundation to build life on. We will miss you sweet lady and gentle mother, until we can hold you in our arms again...Goodnight, Sweetheart!!!!! We offer our sincere and deep gratitude to the staff at Windsor Manor for all the loving kindness that was shown to our dear Mother. MALONEY, Marie December 13, 1915 - June 17, 2000 On June 17th, 2000 Marie Isabella Maloney, formerly of Athabasca, Alberta, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Salem Manor, Leduc, Alberta at the age of 84 years. Marie will be sadly missed but forever loved and remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by three sons, Jim (Toni), Bill (Darlene) and Tom; two daughters, Terry (Dennis) Hockett and Mary (Gordon) Philip; 24 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joe Bickerstaff. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Tom in 1979; daughters, Dianna Royko in 1971, Joanne Lamoureux in 1991; son, Joe in 2000; grandson, Michael Philip in 1981 and granddaughter, Roxanne Watson in 1980. Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 23, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Dominic Savio Parish, 14404 - 62 Street, Edmonton with Father Bernie Gilliece, SDB officiating. NEKOLAICHUK, William On March 1, 2000, Mr. William Nekolaichuk of Edmonton, passed away at the age of 77 years. He will be forever loved and sadly missed by his wife, Lois of 49 years; his daughters, Alyce Campbell of Reston, Virginia, Ellen Gardener (Rob) of Edmonton; son, Stephen (Irene) of Austin, Texas; son-in-law, Wayne Alexander of Edmonton; grandchildren, Shadow, Matthew, Gordon, Carley, Robin, Rachel, Rebecca, Brenden; one brother, Alex (Vicki) of Drayton Valley as well as numerous relatives and friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Riafta and Stephen; daughter, Ann Alexander; sisters, Anna, Pauline, Jean, Mary, and brother, Mike. He retired as principal of Lawton Junior High in 1981 after devoting 35 years to guiding, supporting and teaching children; something which he took great pride in and truly loved. A Prayer Service will be held at Ritchie United Church (9624-74 AVenue, Edmonton) on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place at Evergreen Funeral Chapel (16204 Fort Road, Edmonton) on Wednesday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Harold Alston presiding over both services.
