On Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Leduc Hospital with her family by her side Marie Howard passed away at the age of 92 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons; Richard (Donna) of Leduc and Art (Yvonne) of Calgary as well as her grandchildren; Pam (Dave), Tim, Bonnie Howard and Darcy, Scott, Dean, Kim (Tyler) and Leah (Steve), her great grandchildren Meg, Jake, Jordan, Kevin, Steven, Shane and Dustin.
Marie was predeceased by her grandson Darren and a great grandson Cody in infancy and her siblings.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 5105 — 45A St., Leduc with Reverend Leo Hofmann officiating. Interment will follow in the Leduc Cemetery.

MEADUS, John William On October 18, 2010, John Meadus passed away suddenly at home at the age of 68 years. On October 16, 2010, Claudina passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years. She came to Canada from Chile in 1998 with her husband Juan F. Vidal who predeceased her in 2002. She is survived by her three children, daughters Norma (Bernie) and Leticia (Alvaro) and son Juan Francisco, grandchildren Virginia, Jose Luis, Alvarito and great-grandchildren, Natalia, Flavio C., Jessica and Joe. SEPANZYK, Anthony
SEPANZYK, Anthony On October 16th, 2010 Tony Sepanzyk passed away suddenly of heart failure at the age of 60 years. He is lovingly remembered by his two sons, Steven (Brandy Roth) and Brian, by his former wife, Rita, his parents, Mike and Laura, brother Stan, sister Christine, his constant feline companion, Buddy, as well as by many friends, relatives, and colleagues. Tony was easy-going, kind, and had a great sense of humour. In addition to cats, he loved music, sports, and watching Godzilla and Clint Eastwood movies. A good portion of Tony’s career was spent at the Yellowhead Youth Centre where he worked as a youth care worker. He really cared for the kids and they enriched his life in such a meaningful way. A memorial service for Tony will be held in December, 2010 and will be announced at a later date. Wong, Silvia Wai Yee
On October 12, 2010, Silvia Wai Yee Wong passed away at the age of 71 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Silvia is lovingly remembered by her three children: Johanna Fu of Vancouver B.C., Annabell (Ben) Wong of Edmonton and Michael of Shanghai, China; five grandchildren: Jo’sun, Jessica, Jared, Candice and Celine. Sadly we announce that Chuck passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, November 5th 2010 at the age of 59 years.
He will be missed by his wife of 34 years Gayle (nee Dixon), son: Danny (Brittany), sister: Sandra Baker, and her children: Jimmy and Lindsay, sister-in-law: Leslie (Ron) Kasper, and their children: Timothy and Sydney, brother-inlaw: Bob Dixon, and beloved friends: Chris (Judy) Twardowski and Chris (Irene) Berger.
He was a long time employee of Imperial Oil.
The engineering community has sadly lost one of their own. He was respected and admired by all who knew him and will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

December 17, 1950 — November 1, 2010 It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Dan at age 59. Kesanko, David Michael
1973 — 2010
Suddenly and tragically on November 3rd, 2010, David took his own life. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Bill and Judy, sister Susan (Chris), baby Kylie, uncle Dennis and auntie Carol Blackburn, auntie June and uncle Walter Williams and many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. After schooling in Spruce Grove, David worked as an insulator, but then turned to the job he loved and did so well, loading logs. His skills were used on all kinds of heavy equipment. David was happiest camping, hunting, quadding and being outdoors, surrounded by nature. Heaney, John Joseph (Jack)
On November 2, 2010, John Joseph Heaney, Jack to his friends, passed away at 85 years of age. Born in Wetaskiwin on July 1, 1925, Jack moved to Edmonton with his parents Patrick and Elizabeth at age two and lived the rest of his life as an Edmontonian. He leaves behind Rita, his wife of 61 years, his sister Aileen McHugh and brother Gerry. He was predeceased by his sister Doris Black. Also left to mourn are his children: Patricia (Robert) Shaw, Dan (Marilyn) Heaney, Margaret (Wally) Heaney, Kerry (Allen) Dalton, and Gerry (Lori) Heaney. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Chris, Katie, Paul, and Jeff Shaw; Arnott, Marley, Leigha and Levi Wilson (and their father Mervin); John and Clare Dalton; Sarah and Shannon Heaney; Annie (Michael) Garbula and Jack’s great-granddaughters Naya and Penny. Uncle Jack will be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews and much missed by his friends of all ages. Felce, Harry
On Friday, November 5, 2010, Harry lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at the age of 73 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Vi; sisters Peggy (Bill) Smith and Mary Stratton; sister-in-law Joyce Hesketh and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humor and soft spot for animals. Cremation has already taken place. At Harry’s request, there will be no service. Ernst, Else
September 14, 1921 — November 3, 2010 On Wednesday morning Else Ernst passed away peacefully at the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre in Edmonton. Else is with her Lord and her heavenly family now. Else was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose sense of humour and love of life will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her daughters Margarete Tober (Fred), Heidi Strom (Alan) and son Gerhardt Ernst (Claudette) and by her nine grandchildren: Marilyn (Rick), Sandy, Jackie (Brian), Tim, Shannon (Andy), Jody (Meagan), Dustin (Loretta), Bradley (Cassie), Jessica; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Erwin Ernst, her parents Ludwig and Stephanie Glaser, her brothers Walter and Edward, and sister Alice. Else was born in Poland and married Erwin in 1940 when she was 19. During the Second World War she went through many hardships, finally having to flee her home with only the clothes on her back and her first daughter, not knowing if Erwin had survived the war. After five years they were reunited and moved to Canada in the 1950s, settling in Regina, Saskatchewan where they spent many happy years together. They were active members of their community and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Several years after losing her husband, Else moved to Edmonton to be closer to her daughters. Her final resting place will be beside her Erwin in her beloved Regina. Many thanks to the staff at the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Centre. A viewing and celebration of Else’s life will take place in Edmonton on Monday, November 8, 2010 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service Northside Chapel, 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton. Brushett, Rose A. (nee Sumner)
February 23, 1906 — October 23, 2010
Rose passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Grandview Continuing Care Centre in Edmonton, Alberta with some of her family present. She is survived by her three daughters, Jean Anderson (Alan), Vivian Thompson (Late J.C.), and Esther Little (James); nine grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and thirty great-great-grandchildren. At age 21, Rose came to Canada with her parents from England in 1927. She met her husband Leonard Brushett in 1929 in Edmonton, Alberta, and they were married in Toronto, Ontario in 1930. They moved back to Edmonton in 1934, until her husband retired and they moved to Rutland (near Kelowna, BC) for approximately 11 years. They returned to Edmonton in 1987, because they missed the Alberta sun! In 2005 Rose and Leonard celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary before her husband predeceased her in February 2006 at the age of 96. Rose lived a very healthy, happy and wonderful life for exactly 104 years and eight months. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 12th, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Robertson-Wesley United Church, 10209 — 123 Street, Edmonton, AB. Robert went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 31 surrounded by his family. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a caring friend who will be sadly missed by all. Robert is predeceased by his loving wife Maria (who passed two years ago to the day in 2008). He is survived by his three children, Kenneth, James and Patricia, eight grandchildren: Yvonne Epp, Sarah Wallace, Robert Bailey, Anna Bailey, Andrew Wallace, James (JD) Bailey, Laura Wallace and Jessica Bailey, as well as many extended family members and friends. Robert was born, raised and lived his life as a resident of Graminia having close ties to Devon. He spent six years serving in the Canadian Army during WWII and returned in 1946 with Maria, his Dutch war bride. Robert had a varied career working in the oil field, farming, insurance, municipal politics (County of Parkland), real-estate, and commerce (Spruce Grove Marineland), as well as numerous boards and service committees in the community. Robert’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Devon Alliance Church (Highway 60 and Miquelon Avenue) with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Robert to the Devon General Hospital Foundation, Olive Tree Projects or a charity of your own choosing.

On Friday, October 29, 2010 Trevor Bruce Salway passed away at the age of 56 years. Lovingly remembered by his children: Shauna (Michael), Brian, and his grandson, Quinn.
