On September 20, 2011 Duncan McCallum passed away at the age of 85 years.
He will be greatly missed by his two sons: Phil (Darlene), and Stephen; three grandchildren: Sarah, Alexandra and Liam; and three sisters: Nan, Irene, and Helen, as well as other relatives and friends.
Duncan was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Connie in 2008, and siblings: James, Donald and Iza.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service North, 10129 — Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
HUNTER, Helen Anna
On September 22, 2011 Helen went to be with her Lord.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Rhonda (Clarence); her sisters: Irene (Bud), Bernice (Mac), Jean (Clarence) and Anne, a dear family friend David; step-grandchildren: Charles, Kathy (Kelvin), and Michael (Nicole).
Helen was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Ross, her parents Anton and Catherine, four sisters and two brothers.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Serenity Funeral Service, 5311 — 91 Street, from 7:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Parish (9040 — 95 Avenue, Edmonton).
Memorial Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
HENDERSON, Peter McKenzie
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter McKenzie Henderson announces his passing on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the age of 82 years.
Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia, and by his children Ian (Julie), Kenneth and Colleen (Norman) Schindler. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Lorina, Alexander, Kyle, Hailey and Calvin, and fondly remembered by his brothers Grant (Rose) and Douglas. Peter was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Edith and his son Stuart.
It is difficult to find a picture of Peter. He was a quiet man of few words and the photographs reveal a man who was most often behind the camera. He left us a treasure of memories from his love of his family to his joy in a simple sunrise. He will be cherished forever in our hearts.

HEIN, Hilda
On September 22, 2011 Hilda Hein of Edmonton passed away at the age of 102 years.
Hilda is survived by four children: Eileen (Walter) Goebel, Ruth Hannaford, Allan (Hertha) Hein and Doreen Schutz; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her husband Adam, 3 grandchildren, 3 sons-in-law, 1 sister and 5 brothers.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10014 — 81 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, with Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or charity of one’s choice.
Philpott, Wayne Scott
On September 18, 2011, Wayne Philpott passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He leaves to cherish his memory, parents Al and Karen, brother Dave, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends, and special friends Sasha, April, and Ariya Guenette. Wayne was predeceased by his grandparents and favorite aunt Corrine Lamond.

SIEG, Lydia
Lydia Sieg passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the age of 87 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo on January 21, 2008.
Lydia is lovingly remembered by her children Liz, Walter (Pat) and Arnold; grandchildren, Leah, Kathryn and Kiana, as well as numerous friends and family.
Lydia will be remembered for her kind and generous nature, sense of humor and love of family and friends.

NORMAND, Leo Paul
It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of Leo Paul Normand on September 15th, 2011.
Mr. Leo Paul Normand passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 79.
Predeceased by his father Aristide Normand on August 29, 1979 also by his mother Regina Normand on September 8, 1995.
He leaves in mourning seven sisters and two brothers: Yvette (Paul) Piquette, Helena (Bob predeceased) Paquette, Lucille (Mike Orfino predeceased) Gunter, Leona (Len) Gratto (Cory predeceased), Leon (Georginna) Normand, Simone (Otto) Lankoff, Jackie (Gordon predeceased) Brandenburg, Clement (Judy) Normand, Dianne (Jim) Delainey. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, friends and associates.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 7:30 — 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service, 5311–91 Street, Edmonton.

KRUSCHKE, Ruth Esther Lillian
September 25, 1933 — September 15, 2011
Early on Thursday morning, Ruth Kruschke went to be with her Lord and was relieved of her suffering after a painful journey with A.L.S. She is survived by her husband, Fred, who was blessed to be able to stay by her side, in sickness and in health, for 56 years. He is grateful to God to have had his prayer answered that her passing be peaceful.
Ruth will also be deeply missed by her sons Gerhard (Esther), Howard (Sandy), Herbert (Louise), her daughter Linda (Craig) Trask and her daughter-in-law Cathy. Ruth’s eldest son, Gordon, passed away in December 2009. She was a very special Oma to seven grandsons and two granddaughters.
Ruth was born in Holden, AB as the second eldest of Ewald and Adeline Breitkreuz’s nine children. In addition to her five brothers and three sisters, Ruth’s loss will be felt by her many nieces, nephews, and friends. We will all miss Ruth’s spirit of generosity and love which extended far beyond her family.
Ruth’s family wishes to thank the many healthcare people who provided care and comfort beyond their professional responsibilities.
Following the interment at Onoway Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 there will be a Celebration of Ruth’s Life at 3:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 9419 — 95 Street, Edmonton, AB.

BRASCO, Terry Jay
On Thursday, September 15, 2011 Terry Jay Brasco of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away at the age of 58 years.
He is survived by one son Darcy (Jacqui), three grandchildren, his parents John and Gwen Brasco of Stony Plain, one bother Gary (Brenda) Brasco of Calgary, one sister Hollie (Russ) Knipe of Stony Plain, numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Parkland Baptist Church, (121 Brookwood Drive) Spruce Grove, Alberta on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Norm Bleick officiating.

The family of Andras “Andy/Bandi” Simon share with saddened hearts, his passing on September 14, 2011 at the age of 73 years.

LINDSAY, William (Bill) McNeil Hamilton
William (Bill) Lindsay, born in Scotland on October 1, 1951, passed away at Edmonton General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit on September 12, 2011.
William, predeceased by his mother, will be sadly missed by his father David; siblings: James (Kate Celis), Anne (Ivan Roschottka), Catherine (Bill Alexander), and Lynn (Rob Durvec); eight nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends in Canada and abroad.
The family thank General Hospital Palliative Care staff for taking care of William during the last months of his life, and give especial thanks to Dr. Gordon Mowat, for his many years of devoted care.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 11035 — 127 Street, Edmonton AB.
In lieu of flowers a donation in William’s memory may be made to the Bissell Centre Children’s Playground project or to a charity of choice.
ROY, Lucia (Lou) (nee Gaumont)
Marie Lucia Albertine Roy (Gaumont) passed away on October 27, 2011 at the age of 78 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Connie, Denis (Colleen), Robert, Marc (Lisa), and Patty (Dale) Hankey. Lou will be dearly missed by her two sisters: Roland (Ted) Arsenault, and Therese Gagnon; her nine grandchildren and four great– grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucia was born on March 11, 1933 in Lamoureux, Alberta; she was predeceased by her parents Adelard and Alma Gaumont as well as by her siblings: Alma Gaumont, Laurence Gaumont, Annette (Daniel) Cotnoir, Lucien Gaumont, Lucille (Pete) Doucet, Armand (Germaine) Gaumont, Martha (Harvey) Elsenheimer and Clement Gaumont.
The family would like to thank Doctor Voldeng and the staff at the Norwood Palliative Care Centre for their loving care of Lucia during her last months.
We ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lucia’s name to either the Capital Care Norwood Palliative Hospice or their Music Therapy Program.
