On February 29, 2008, Bill Lundy of Edmonton passed away at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by his children, Joan (Larry) Hart, Gail (Bob) Evanoff, Carol (James) Tharpe, Clifford (Connie), Barry (Debi), Debby Lundy, Beverly (Dale) Bell and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and special friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff at Miller Crossing for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, or to the Alberta Lung Association.
Tyla Gwennyth Clarke
November 24, 2007 - February 27, 2008
CLARKE – Tyla Gwennyth beloved daughter of Ms. Ashley Anne Clarke of Calgary passed away in Calgary on February 27, 2008 at the age of 3 months.
Tyla will be lovingly remembered by her family, mother, Ashley Anne Clarke (Matthew Binney); father, Bryson Marshall; grandparents, Shannen and Jack Jorgensen and Stephen Clarke; great grandparents, Tony and Gwen Hnetka and James and Anne Falconer; great great grandparents, Della and Angus MacBean; great aunts and uncles, Samantha and Todd Falconer, Paul Falconer, Keith and Rita Clarke, John and Dawn Clarke as well as numerous other family members.
Tyla was a very happy little baby who left her tiny footprints on a lot of people’s hearts.
She was truly “Great Grandpa’s Little Girl”.
She was loved beyond measure and will be very deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
“Mom and Grammy miss you. We love you Tyla”.
A private family service will be held.
If so desired, a memorial tribute may be made in Tyla’s name directly to the SIDS Calgary Society (PO Box 50087, Marlborough Postal Outlet, Calgary, AB. T2A 7P1).
Mr. Larry B. Glenn
April 30, 1945 - March 1, 2008
On March 1, 2008 Larry B. Glenn passed away peacefully with his family at the age of 62.
Larry is lovingly remembered by his wife Louise, two sons Troy (Dana) and Brad (Wing-Yin), four grandsons Aedan, Griffin, Parker and Fletcher, his mother Mary Koncur and two sisters as well as many relatives and friends.
Larry was predeceased by his father Bernard Glenn.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road and Range Road 232, Sherwood Park.
Interment and a reception will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to thank the staff at unit 30 at the Cross Cancer Institute.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Volunteer Services at the Cross Cancer in c/o the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Mrs. Helen Forwick
April 17, 1918 - March 1, 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen with her loving children Jim and Maureen Orchard, son-in-law Don Sandberg and grandchildren Angela and Vanessa Umbrich at her side.
Helen will also be forever missed by her sister and best friend, Maryann Grierson and her brother Frank Crozier.
She is also survived by three step-daughters, Cory, Shirley and Jaclynn, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Helen was predeceased by her first husband, Maurice Orchard in 1958 and by her second husband Edwin Forwick in 2006.
She was also predeceased by her children Gerald (Marilyn), Robert, Kenneth and Patricia, her brothers James, Gerry and Joe and sisters Beatrice, Sarah and Patricia.
Helen’s family would like to thank the kind staff, volunteers and families of other patients in unit 9Y of the Edmonton General Hospital for their support during a difficult time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 1:00 P.M. at the Assumption Parish, 9040 – 95 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.

Mr. Alexander (Sandy) MacTaggart
March 21, 1924 - February 29, 2008
On February 29, 2008 Mr. Alex MacTaggart of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 83.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Norah, five children; Maureen (David) Herdman, Norah, John, Kevin and Lawrence, 3 grandchildren; Sean, Eric and Delia, one brother Herbert (Anne) as well as many relatives and good friends.
Alex was predeceased by his son Robert in 2005.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 1:00 pm. at Assumption Catholic Church, 9040 - 95 Avenue, Edmonton. Interment will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens
Ralph Ferguson Atkinson
May 16, 1923 - February 25, 2008
Ralph Ferguson Atkinson beloved husband of Mrs. Helen Atkinson, for 60 years, born May 16, 1923, passed away at Wentworth Manor in Calgary on Monday, February 25, 2008 at age 84.
Ralph is survived by his sons Stewart (Jo) of Calgary; David (Cindy) of Okotoks; daughter Heather Kondla (Ro) of Calgary; special family friend Sally Strople; grandchildren Danielle and Lisa Kondla; Diana Spence and Don Atkinson; honorary great grandson Amari Smith.
He will be remembered by his sister Sylvia Bazant ( Ed – late).
He will be missed. Born in Carbon, Alberta; served in R.C.A.F. as a Flight Instructor in W.W. II; completed his Petroleum Engineering Degree at Oklahoma University.
Many thanks to the diligent, caring staff at Wentworth Manor, also to all his wonderful friends, relatives who visited and prayed for him.
Everyone is invited to a Memorial Service at Woodcliff United Church – 5010 Spruce Dr. S.W. Calgary, Alberta, Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.
