Jan was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and it is here where she met her soul mate and best friend Clark in her early teens. After their wedding in 1964, they moved around Alberta with Clark’s work as a pipefitter, as well as trying a few different ventures which included running a ranch in Cereal, Alberta. During their adventures across the prairies their family grew by two, and they eventually settled for a longer period of time in Stettler, Alberta. Jan worked at the local hospital and made a number of good friends in the area. After her children were grown and out of the house it was time to move on to the next chapter and she and Clark packed up to take advantage of Alberta’s gold mine in Fort McMurray. Jan was always proud of what they accomplished up north, and worked hard every single day to fulfill their goal. When their five year plan was up, they settled in Fort Saskatchewan to be closer to their children and it is here where she resided till her death.
We will always remember Jan for her incredible spirit, her no nonsense personality, and her incredible prowess for playing crib. She has left a huge hole which will now be filled with our many memories of her.
