She is the loving mother of Russ (Mary) Peden, Larry Peden, both of Calgary. Dorothy is also survived by her brother Art Schlaht of Walsh, AB, and numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Irvine in 1994, seven brothers and two sisters. PELLERIN -- Marcil J., aged 70 years, passed away after a brief struggle with cancer at the Foothills Hospital on January 27, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife Marg; four children, Barry and his wife Gwen, Debbie Selby and her husband Gary, Perry and his wife Annette, and Mark and his wife Cindy; and seven grandchildren, Kelsy and Cameron Pellerin, Ryan, Trevor and Tyler Selby, and Justin and Joshua Pellerin; as well as two sisters, Irene Robison and Bernadette Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Philip and Oscar, and three sisters, Corine, May and Henriette. Marcil retired from the CNR after forty-four years of railroading. PILLIDGE -- Hilda Kathleen Pillidge passed away peacefully at the George Boyack Nursing Home on January 26, 1998 at the age of 93 years. Hilda was born in England and came to Canada at a young age. She made her home in Calgary, where she worked for the Circulation Department of the Calgary Herald for forty-four years. She will be greatly missed by her nephew Robert (Iris) of Calgary; great-nephews, Ronald (Isabel) of Stony Plain, and Bart of Bragg Creek; great-great-niece and nephew, Katie and Adam of Stony Plain; and her special cousin Doreen Thorne of England. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on the Fourth Floor of the Boyack Nursing Home for their love and wonderful care of Hilda. PULLAN -- Nathan (Nat) Pullan of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on January 28, 1998 at the age of 86 years. Nathan was born in 1911 in Russia and moved at a young age with his family to Winnipeg. He graduated in the early thirties from the University of Manitoba with a Civil Engineering Degree, despite his severe hearing disability. Nathan married his beloved wife Sara in 1932 and they eventually settled in Nanaimo, British Columbia, where he was a successful businessman for thirty-four years. They moved to Calgary in 1969 to be with their loving daughter and family. Among his many accomplishments, Nathan was an internationally recognized Toastmaster, winning numerous awards, as well as being National President of the Kinsmen of Canada. Nathan is survived by two sons, A.G. (Jerry) Pullan of Texas and Lyle S. Pullan and his wife Rosaline of Vancouver; a daughter Bonnie Shapiro of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Brent and Lisa Pullan, Michelle and Michael Fish, all of Vancouver, Stephen Shapiro, Jill and Garry Galinsky of Calgary, Janet Pullan, Diane and Paul Burkholder, Cindy and Terry Ratzliff, all of Edmonton; as well as nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Goldie of Vancouver. Nathan was predeceased by his beloved wife Sara in 1995. The family extends special thanks to the warm and caring staff of the Beverly Centre, as well as Unit 47 of the Rockyview General Hospital. Nathan will always be remembered by all who knew him for his keen intellect, sharp and corny wit, and sweet nature. He was truly a gentle man. RAMSAY -- Sharon Nancy (Pettyjohn), passed away at home on January 25, 1998 at the age of 54 years. She is survived by three daughters, Lauri Meyers and her husband Joe; Shari Tracey and her husband David, and their children, Brittney and Jared; and Dheana Pettyjohn; their father Mervin Pettyjohn; her mother Martha Jean Ramsay; three sisters, Greta Sheppard, Gloria Robison and Heather Dorris and their families; and close friend Sylvia Sargeant. Sharon was predeceased by her father Hector MacDonald Ramsay in 1988, her sister Thora Jean Ramsay in 1927, her uncle Rhod Ramsay in 1997 and cousin Ishbelle Ross also in 1997. RICHARDSON -- Mr. Cameron Scott Richardson, beloved husband of Dale Richardson of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on January 28, 1998 at the age of 65, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Cam was born on March 21, 1932 in Tuberose, Saskatchewan, moving to Calgary as a teenager. Cam attended high school in Calgary at Crescent Heights and graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 1953 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. His career with ATCO Ltd. is legendary. He was a Director, Senior Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of ATCO Ltd., a Director and Deputy Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Utilities Ltd. Retiring in April of 1997, Cam remained a Director of Akita Drilling Ltd. He was greatly respected by both his colleagues and the Canadian financial community. In his thirty-eight years with ATCO he played a most significant role in its growth and diversification. Cam was a genius at analyzing the most complex financial issues and all who knew him will miss forever his quick wit and terrific sense of humour. Cam's knowledge of sports was all-encompassing. Throughout his life he followed football, tennis, curling, hockey, basketball and had a real passion and involvement with thoroughbred horse racing. He served as a Director of the Calgary Stampeders, as well as the HPBA. He spent many active years involved with the Winter Club of Calgary. This loving, caring and compassionate man will be sorrowfully missed and forever remembered by his devoted family and many friends. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at the Foothills Hospital and especially to Dr. Walley Temple and Dr. Barry Baylis for their kind and compassionate care. Cam will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Dale, his caring and constant companion over the past seventeen years; his two daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Chris Papaioannou, Patty Jo Richardson; his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Doug and Renee Richardson, David Richardson; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Brandon, Brittanie, Mikayla, Ashley, and Christina. RISKE -- Mr. Ronald Ralph (Ron) Riske, beloved husband of Helen of Airdrie, passed away suddenly at his residence on January 27, 1998 at the age of 65 years. Ron was born on May 14, 1932 in Bashaw, Alberta. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 and served until 1964. During that time he spent two overseas tours. Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a millwright in the construction and forestry industry. Ron became a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in February 1972. Over the years he held many offices with the Lodges and their Associations. During this time Ron received the Pilgrim Degree in 1988, which is the highest degree of the Order. Besides his loving wife, Ron is survived by his three sons, Rodney of Calgary, Richard of Calgary, Terrance (Vivian) of Coeur d'Alene, Washington; his two stepchildren, Charlene of Calgary, Gerry (Maria) of Calgary; thirteen grandchildren, and a great-grandson. He is also survived by two sisters, Trudy of Winfield, B.C., Bernice of Edmonton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Ron was predeceased by his parents, a brother Courtney, and twin sisters, Doris and Doreen. SANADA -- Jacob passed away peacefully at the Agape Manor Hospice on Wednesday, January 28, 1998 at the age of 85 years. SCHATZ -- Kenneth Lloyd Schatz passed away after a brief illness on January 26, 1998 at the Rockyview Hospital. Born in Saskatoon on June 28, 1948, Ken is survived by his beloved wife Christel; son Cary; daughter Mikah and their mother Evelyn; his mother Marie; brothers, Jim, Ray (Irene); sisters, Ruth (Ray) Gessler, June (Tom) Spicer; and numerous nieces and nephews. JANG -- Mrs. Kwan-Ho Woo Jang, passed away peacefully on January 27, 1998 at the age of 93 years at the Bethany Care Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1981 and a daughter Poon Voy Chiang in 1990. Mrs. Jang is survived by her son Ken (Ann) Jang of Calgary; son-in-law On Chiu Chiang of Vancouver; and daughter Nancy (Pat) Chang of Calgary. She is also survived by two sister, Ng Jook Chiang of Hong Kong and Liu Ha Lew of China; her brother Jim Woo of Vancouver; twelve grandchildren, Edward (Theresa) Jang, Henry Jang, Mary (Dick) Quon, Lillian (Robert) Allen, Lily (John) Tsang, John (Ada) Chiang, Bin (Christine) Chiang, Bonnie (Michael) Loke, Leah Chiang, Tom (Betty) Chiang, Douglas (Pauline) Chang, Eva Chang (Walter Kay); and eighteen great-grandchildren.
