INGLIS, Jack Jack Inglis passed away at the Rocky View Hospital on June 5, 2000 at the age of 74 years. Jack is survived by his daughter, Susan Mooney and son-in-law Don, and two grandsons, Philip and Christopher. Jack is also survived by his cousins Douglas Fraser, Alan Inglis and Jack Ferris. He was predeceased by his father Harold and his mother Lily. A private family interment will be held in Wetaskiwin at a later date. LAIRD, Agnes (Nancy) On May 27, 2000 Nancy Laird of Wetaskiwin, Alberta passed away at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her four sons, Malcolm (Marianne) Laird of Lloydminster, Norman (Lynnette) Laird of Big River, Sask., Scott (Cammie) Laird of Mulhurst Bay, Gordon Laird of Wetaskiwin; five grandchildren and one brother James Simpson of Grangemouth, Scotland. RODE, (Nee Hazelwood) M. Ellen May 9, 1943 - June 6, 2000 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ellen Rode of Wetaskiwin, Alberta at the age of 57 years. Ellen will be missed by her loving family; her husband of 36 years, Alf; her sons, Lorne (Tina) of Wetaskiwin, Edward (Sharon) of Airdrie, Darcy (Christine) of Denver, Col.; and her six grandchildren. Ellen also leaves her mom and dad, Slim and Mary Hazelwood of Red Deer; sisters, Lorna (John) Beaudoin of Ponoka, Marjorie (Pete) Rechel of Fort McMurray; brothers, Jack (Rae) of Lethbridge, Jim (Lynette) of Red Deer; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held at the Baker Funeral Chapel, Wetaskiwin on Saturday, June 10 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bert Moriartey officiating. Interment followed at the Lakedell Cemetery. SCHMIDT, Ludwig William On June 3, 2000, Ludwig William Schmidt of Wetaskiwin, Alberta passed away at the age of 97 years. He is survived by his children, Ken (Myrtle) of Wetaskiwin, Roy (Mabel) of Red Deer, Delores (Duncan) MacDonald of Red Deer, Carol (Ed) Kokas of Wetaskiwin; 24 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Zeissler; sister-in-law, Sadie Schmidt. He was predeceased by his wife, Lydia in 1995; grandchildren, Connie and Terry Schmidt; great grandchild, Cody Hrdlicka; three brothers and five sisters. Funeral service was held from Zion Lutheran Church, Wetaskiwin on Thursday, June 8 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Terry Defoe officiating. Interment followed at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery. JONES, Harold Griffith On December 3, 2000, Harold Jones of Westerose, Alberta passed away at the age of 94 years. KOPPENOL, Cornelius (Cor) On Dec. 6, 2000 Cor Koppenol of Wetaskiwin, Alberta passed away at the age of 66. Cherishing his memory are his wife of 33 years, Myrtle; step-son Randy and wife Margaret Shinness of Millet and grandchildren Trevor, Jason and Kaitlyn; brother, Mart and Gloria Koppenol of Hanna; sister Johanna and Doug Tanaschyk of Hemaruka, AB; brother and sister-in-laws, Heinz and Eileen Kummer of Wetaskiwin, Keith and Dawna Couturier of Drayton Valley, Ken and Gloria Couturier of Rumsey, Ivan Couturier of Red Deer and Brian Couturier of Hamilton, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. BROZ, Keith Joseph Anthony On October 13, 2000 Keith Joseph Anthony Broz of Wetaskiwin, Alberta passed away at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynda; daughter, Lila (Brian) Grant of Calgary and grandchildren, Jessica, Courtney, Chad, Jeremie; son, Wally (Fern) Broz of Wetaskiwin and grandchildren, Jared, Brandon, Nicholas; son, Bruce (Stephanie) Broz of Calgary and grandchild, Tyler; sister, Dorothy (Mac) Robinson; brother, Jim (Lorraine) Broz; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pat and Jock Wright; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Lillian Broz; step-father, Tom Keen and brother Ralph Broz. Keith was an active Legion Member. He had many interests and hobbies including bowling, fishing, darts, coin collecting, cards, wood-working and gardening.
