Fred was born January 14, 1905 in Leduc, Alberta and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2002. Fred leaves to mourn a sister Martha (Albert) Snider; a half-sister Laura (Walter) Sommers both of Thorsby, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his brothers Bill and Steve; sisters Ida, Bert and Elsie; three half-brothers and three half-sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Telfordville Hall. Interment at Calmar Community Cemetery in the famly plot. LAMAITRE, Maryann L.
On Tuesday, December 3, 2002 Mrs. Maryann L. Lamaitre (nee Joy) of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 60. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Bert and son, Sheldon (Erin), granddaughter, Bailey, mother, Ada Joy, sister, Roberta (Chris) Helsher, brothers, Douglas (Karen) Joy and Darrell (Kathy) Joy, and many other relatives, including numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Joy in 1996. Visitations will take place on Friday, December 6, 2002 between 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwoood Park. LAUGHLIN, Gary Joseph
passed away at age 56 in Edmonton on December 4th, 2002. Survived by his loving wife Linda of 35 years; son Todd; daughters Laurel (Reed) Jackson, Kathy (Larry); six precious grandchildren and numerous family members. Respecting Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date. On Monday, December 2, 2002 Mr. Randy Medd of Edmonton passed away at the age of 58 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his brother, Terry (Sherril) Medd of Calgary; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was predeceased by his mother, Marion in 1987 and father, Walter in November 2002. MILLAR, Nellie May
July 17th, 1904 - December 1st, 2002
With sadness and tears but thanksgiving for a life well lived, our family announces the death of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on the 75th anniversary of her wedding day. She was a caring person who loved family gatherings and always remembered birthdays and anniversaries. She was proud of her family and their many accomplishments. Nellie was committed to her Christian community and through her love of music, was for many years a faithful member of the church choir. She loved flowers and in her travels, always enjoyed the beauty of the world around her. For almost 50 years, she actively participated in the affairs of Areme Chapter #11, O.E.S. Predeceased by George, her husband, she will be missed by her family, Don (Evelyn), Ken (May), Allan (Barbara) and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On December 3, 2002, Gracye Mitcell of Edmonton passed away at the age of 100 years. On January 30, 2003, Walter Hoffman of Edmonton, passed away quietly at the age of 70 years. Walter was a kind and gentle man and will be sadly missed by those who knew him. On February 3, 2003 Mr. Gordon Jirsch of Edmonton, formerly of Lacombe, Alberta, passed away at the age of 66 years at the Misericordia Hospital. Gordon is survived by his one son, Gordon (Lori Mentz), two daughters, Lorna (Don) Polsom, Leora Jirsch; former spouse, Edith Jirsch; step-mother, Victoria Haltli, three grandsons, Anthony Jirsch, Andrew Alyward, Adam Alyward; sister, Gladys Schadeck and her children Leonard (Jayne), Sandra (Andrew) Kelly, and Darryl; Stella Steinman as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his father Albert, brother Keith, Adolph Jirsch, Lena Hautz, Gillie Haltli, Walter Jersch and father-in-law Ralph Steinman.
