It is with great sadness and sorrow that Brian, Amy and Taylor Wesolowsky announce the death of their wife and mother, Terry. She died at Foothills Hospital on February 2, 2003 after a yearlong struggle with leukemia. Born in Minnesota, her family moved to Athabasca, AB in 1968 and subsequently to Peace River, AB. She graduated from Peace River High and attended UBC in Vancouver, B.C. Terry joined the Alberta Forest Service where she met Brian while working in the Whitecourt Forestry office. They were married November 7, 1987 and developed a forestry consulting business from their home in Fox Creek, AB; and later Edson, Alberta. Terry is survived by her loving husband and children Amy and Taylor; her parents Phyllis and John Shannon of Elma, WA; sister Stacey Shannon and partner Susan Wells of Toronto; and brother Michael (Louise) Shannon of NSW, Australia; Brian's parents Grace and Len Wesolowsky of Rocky Mountain House, AB; sister Brenda of Red Deer, AB; and brother Larry(Sheila) of Caroline, AB; and numerous other close friends and relatives. Terry had a passionate desire for everyone to become a blood donor to replace the many blood and platelet transfusions received during her treatment. The family wishes any other bequest be made to the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton or the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Foothills Hospital in Calgary, or the Canadian Leukemia Society. Terry was cremated in Calgary and the family will celebrate her life with an open house at the Edson Canadian Legion Hall from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2003. January 27, 1925 - April 25, 2003
Known to many as Peggy, she passed away as she lived, with strength and dignity. Peggy leaves to keep her memory alive, two daughters, Linda Morgan, Louise (Andy) Herrewynen; six grandchildren, Diane Mintram (Ken), David (Tammy) Morgan, Donna Krupa (Dean), Derrick Morgan (Tammy), Don (Debbie) Herrewynen, Tracy (Marty) Gunderson; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, one brother, Raymond (Carol) Williams; niece, Cheryl (Bill) McCrachen, nephews, Roy (Diane) Lerohl and Doug (Loa) Deschamps. STEMPNICK, David Samuel
Peacefully on April 23, 2003 David passed away. Left to mourn his passing are sons, Michael and Damian; mother, Rose; brothers, Gary (Joanne), Philip (Leslie); sister, Chris Mikolayenko (Vic) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his father, Michael. Dave enjoyed fishing and outdoor recreational activities. He had a passion for classic cars and music. He took pride in his home and garden and mostly in being a good father to his two sons. In his travels through work for Shilling Optical, Dave leaves behind many good friends across Western Canada. On April 24, 2003 Mrs. Annie Wegner of Camrose passed away at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her son, Jim (Judy) Wegner of Leduc; five grandchildren, Danny (Kathy) Bittner of Chauvin, Alberta, Bill (Lori) Bittner of Slave Lake, Tammy (Darren) Mankow of Calmar, Kerry Wegner of New Sarepta, Trent (Angie) Wegner of New Sarepta; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Chubby (Irene) Schoenknecht of Camrose; two sisters, Adelia (Reynold) Nordin of Camrose, Hulda Anderson of Camrose; special family member, Rynalt (Florence) Rosenthal of Kelowna, B.C.; very special niece, Audrey Stratmoen of Camrose. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert "Pete"; one daughter, Sandy; one son, Rodney; one grandchild, Kenny; one brother, Willy Schoenknecht. WILSON, Linda Ann
On Tuesday April 22, 2003, Linda Wilson of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 55 years after a lengthy battle with cancer. SHANNON, Harold "Buzz"
October 1919 - June 20 2003
Buzz passed away peacefully at his home on the Black Cat Ranch in Hinton.He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to those in need, his devotion to family, love of nature and his zest for a spirited debate. Buzz lived in Grenada in the West Indies and was serving as a pilot In the Royal Air Force in Canada when he met his wife Peggy. They married in 1944. Buzz went on to fly Mosquitoes with 627 Squadron. He and Peggy went to Grenada in 1946 but immigrated to Canada with their young family in 1952. Buzz worked for AGT for a number of years. They lived in Edmonton's Queen Mary Park community from 1963 to 1984 when they retired to live at the Black Cat Ranch they owned in partnership with Peggy's sister Mary and her husband Jerry Bond. Buzz will be missed by Peggy; their children Grahame (Shirley), Kerry (Ray), and Hilary (Ben); and their beloved grandchildren James, Kathleen, Suzanne, Philip, Connor and Franchesca; as well as their great-granddaughter Zoe. Cremation has occurred, and a private family celebration of his life will be held. A gathering will be held in his honour at the Brule Community Hall at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. WAITES, Kyle Neil
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Kyle Neil Waites. Kyle was born in White Rock, BC on September 24, 1986. He lived in White Rock, BC, Meadow Lake, SK, and Edmonton. A tragic accident brought his young life to a close on June 21, 2003. Kyle was always filled with life and enthusiasm of a young person who was learning his way in the world and the possibilites the world held for him. Kyle leaves many to remember him and his zest for life.
