On June 21, 2003, Evelyne Westerlund of Edmonton passed away at the age of 57 years. She is survived by two sisters, Diane and Lois, both of Edmonton; three nephews, B.J. (Debbie) and their children, Makaylyn and Taylor, Cameron, all of St. Albert and Craig of Calgary. Predeceased by parents, Robert and Lillian. WIGSTON (HEN), Janet Ness (nee Saunders)
July 30, 1925 - June 14, 2003
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother. Janet is survived and will be missed immensely by her two daughters Norma and Gina (Susan). She was predeceased by her husband Bill in November of 2001. She will be remembered by many friends and relatives in Edmonton and Scotland. Janet has donated her body to the U of A Dept. of Medicine and Anatomy for research. No service will be held at her request but if desired a donation can be made on Janet's behalf to the charity of one's choice.

On June 20th, 2003 Mrs. Marion Williams of Westlock, AB passed away at the ag of 71 years. She is survived by her children Martin, Susan and Hywel; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Glyn. STONE, Jim
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Stone of Slave Lake on February 20, 2004, after a very courageous battle with cancer at the age of 57 years. He is survived by his loving wife Linda of 32 years, his four children Greg, Jeff and Jennifer of Slave Lake and Nancy of Edmonton, his brother Ken and wife Sharon of Orangeville, Ontario, nephews Byron and Jesse, his mother-in-law Hazel Lee and many wonderful friends, relatives and colleagues. Jim was predeceased by his father George in August 2001 and mother Beatrice (nee) Mundorf in December 2002. Jim was born in High River on October 4, 1946 and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He graduated from Montgomery High School and joined the Royal Bank in 1966. He began his career as a teller in Turner Valley and retired in 2001 as manager of the Slave Lake Royal Bank Branch. Jim also worked for the Royal Bank in Consort, Edmonton, Calgary, Innisfail, Fort Saskatchewan, Medicine Hat, Hanna, Pincher Creek, Stettler and Sexsmith. He continued working for the Royal Bank after retirement in a training capacity, in Slave Lake, Whitecourt and Edson. Jim loved his work in the bank and colleagues often commented on his dedication, honesty and integrity. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, and quading. He especially enjoyed the past two hunting seasons in which he was able to spend time with his sons and two favourite uncles. Jim was known as a jack-of-all-trades and could often be found in the garage working on numerous projects in his spare time. A funeral service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Innisfail, Alberta on February 24, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Innisfail cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Children's Stollery Health Foundation at the University Hospital or the charity of one's choice. TAIT, Robert Gordon
Robert Gordon Tait, 66 of Grande Prairie. Robert Gordon Tait passed away on February 20, 2004 at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He was born February 6, 1938 at High Prairie Hospital. He met and married his wife Violet in Edmonton, but have made Grande Prairie their home since 1962. Violet his devoted and loving wife of 46 years is left to fondly remember him as well as his daughters: Gail (Ross) Rowland; Diane (Mel) Hutton; Colleen (Walter) Born; and his son Darren (Adele) Tait. He had eight grandchildren: Amanda, Jennifer, Timothy, Carleen, Jessica, Pamela, Riley, Kaylee and one great grandchild: Skyler. Bob was a loyal and dedicated salesman. He had a very successful career of 41 years. Bob was recognized as top salesman in Alberta numerous times and received many prizes such as trips, tv, etc. Bob was a great outdoorsman: Mink Raiser, Trapper, Hunter, Recreational and Commercial Fisherman. He was a great friend to many people. He impacted people's lives in a positive way with his dry humor and his straight and practical attitude towards life. He had an incredible love and passion for his wife and his extended families. Bob was a great carpenter. He built the families favorite hide away - a log cabin at Sturgeon Lake. He also built many other projects such the Grandchildren's toy boxes and deck chairs for all his family. He was an active member of the ACT (Associated Canadian Travelers) since 1962 which is an organization that contributes to those in need such as the mental disabled and seniors. The funeral service will be held at People's Church, 11850 - 108 Street, Grande Prairie on Tuesday, February 24 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.

On December 9, 2003 Mr. Gus Litke of Highridge, Alberta passed away aged 85 years. He is survived by his loving wife Eugenie and their children: Duane (Patty) of Highridge, Judy (Ken) Balaneski of Innisfree, Ron of Highridge, Juan (Kevin) Austin of Edmonton, eight grandchildren: John, Eric, Jamie, Tina-Marie, Dean (Crystal), Jennifer, Darcy, and Lindsey, two great-grandchildren, his sisters and brother: Mathilde, Gotta (Pete), Irma (John), Mildred, Marie and Ed (Wanda), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents August, and Augusta, brother Ewald and his sister Frieda. On December 7, 2003, Yvonne Blanche McGinnis of Edmonton passed away peacefully at the age of 101 years. On Tuesday, December 9, 2003, Gordon Otto died peacefully after a long battle with Leukemia at the age of 75 years.
