On Tuesday, December 9, 2003 Fran Sacknea of Edmonton, passed away at the age of 77 years. Fran is survived by her loving family, four daughters, Linda Lindbeck, Judy (Albert) Fidler, Brenda (Rory) Scatterty and Pam Sacknea; six grandchildren, Jason and Darren Lindbeck, Allen, Randy, Kale and Ceara Scatterty; as well as one brother and two sisters. Fran was predeceased by her husband, John. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at the Edmonton General Hospital Chapel, 11111 Jasper Avenue. SALVESON, Solvei Bergit
On December 9, 2003 Solvei Bergit Salveson of Viking passed away at the age of 89 years. She is lovingly remembered by her nephews and nieces, Gerald (Muriel) Walker, Gladys (Gary) Johnson, Marie Oakford, Larry (Lorraine) Langager, her great-nephews and nieces Graham, Michelle, Kimberly, Kelsey, Darren (Kim), Shane (Donna), Scott, Ross and Joelle and many friends. She was predeceased by her two sisters Margaret Walker and Glenda Langager. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Golden Valley Lutheran Church, Viking, Alberta, with Pastor Alvin Sorenson officiating. Cremation has taken place. Mrs. Flore Shaw, long time resident of Berwyn, Alberta passed away in Peace River on December 7, 2003 at the age of 93 years. She was predeceased by her husband, David. On Thursday, August 26, 2004 Mr. Frank Cyril Procter of Edmonton passed away suddenly at the age of 52 while on holidays in England. REID, Milton Edward
Suddenly at home in Walkerton, Ontario on August 30th, 2004 in his 77th year. A member of the 4th Degree Assembly, Milt served on the executive for Fr. Cummings Council, Walkerton as Recorder and as a member of the organizing committee of the K of C Diocesan Assoc. Bishop's Dinner. Milt's zest for life, sense of humour and singing voice made him the center of many gatherings. A friend to many, he will be remembered for his energy, enthusiasm and strong faith. Milt enjoyed his sketching, sorts and played many musical instruments. After graduating from St. Francis Xavier University, then University Laval with degrees in science and electrical engineering, Milt worked on numerous projects throughout Canada. Loving husband of Irene; dear father to Anne Marie and Jim of Durham, Kathy and Bill of Pickering, Jim and Susan of Haliburton and Marty of Edmonton. Milt will be sorely missed by grandchildren Matthew, Krystal, Michael, Amber, Danielle, Brandi, Daniel, Monica and Marina. Beloved brother to Alan, Lornie, Helen and Maureen. Predeceased by brothers Doug and Bill and grandson Brandon. RUSS, Winnifred Alice "Winnie"
On Wednesday, September 1, 2004, Winnifred Alice "Winnie" Russ of Rochfort Bridge, AB passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years. Winnie will always be loved and remembered by her daughter, Audrey and her husband, Donald Kelly of Gunn; her son, Roland and his wife, Madelene of Spruce Grove; her special friend, Alan Watson of Rochfort Bridge; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Soper of St. Albert and Wilfred Soper of Mayerthorpe; many nieces and nephews and good friends. Predeceased by her husband, Edgar Paul (October, 1975); parents, Fred and Alice Soper; brothers, Reginald and Roland. Winnie was an outstanding woman from Rochfort Bridge. She was a contributor to her community in many volunteer organizations. She made and lived history during her life time. She was still contributing to her weekly newspaper column after she was 90 years old. Winnie will not be forgotten. On August 30, 2004 Mrs. Arla Isobel Schultz passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her loving son Raymond (Evelyn) and her two granddaughters: Morgan and Bailey. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin in 1992. Special thanks to Dr. John Henderson and the nursing staff of 2nd Lynwood for their compassionate care they gave Arla in her final days.
