ROWE: Beverley Anne. On September 10, 2004, Beverley Anne Rowe of Lloydminster passed away at the age of 56 years.
Bev is survived by her loving family; her husband of 20 years, Garth; her five children: James McKinlay, Liza Ng, Laura (Todd) Sobkiw, Kim Rowe and Dana Rowe; five grandchildren: Jordan, Sheena, Dryden, Patrick and Lowell; one sister, Linda (Randy) Pugh; one brother, Gregory (Collette) Bodie.
She was predeceased by her parents: Jean Bodie in 1976; and Lowell Bodie in 1986.
A memorial service was held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home on Monday, September 13 at 2004 at 10:00 a.m.

Frances Mark, of Lloydminster
Mark: Frances L. Mark passed away peacefully at her home August 26, 2004. She is survived by Don & Gloria Mark, Richard & Lorna Mark, Don & Barb Holt, Lloydminster, Keven & Carol Mark, Unity, SK and all of their families.
A memorial service was held Sunday, August 29, 2004 at the Grace United Church.

PYNTEN: Leif Pynten. On September 4, 2004, Mr. Leif Pynten of Elk Point, formerly of Heinsburg, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris of 61 years; 1 son & 1 daughter, Dave (Lila) of Kitscoty & Lori (Bill) Ringland of Cold Lake; 9 grandchildren; 10 great - grandchildren; 3 brothers & 2 sisters, Palmer (Alice), Reg, Ken (Irene), Anna Walberg & Ester Walberg & numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Petter & Clara & 3 brothers & 1 sister.
A funeral service was held Saturday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heinsburg Community Hall, Heinsburg. Reverend Sam Donaldson officiated with interment in the Frog Lake Community Cemetery.

Bernard Joseph Freehill, of Lloydminster
FREEHILL: Bernard Joseph Freehill passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at the age of 89 years.
Bernard is survived by: ten children: Kevin Freehill and his wife Kelly of Edson; Alphonse Freehill of Lloydminster; Theresa McNamara of Elk Point; Louise and her husband Herb Thompson of Bonnyville; Pat Freehill of Marwayne; Brian Freehill of Slave Lake; Maurice Freehill and his wife Judy of Whitecourt; Kay and her husband David Kneen of Marwayne; Tom Freehill and his wife Lorie also of Marwayne; Kelly Freehill of Bonnyville; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister Margaret Wheat of Marwayne; one brother Maurice Freehill and his wife Kay of Washington as well as several other relatives.
A prayer service for Bernard was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster on Monday, August 30, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Marwayne Community Hall on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Adam Lech officiating.
A eulogy was given by Kevin Freehill.
The pianist was Peggy Moore accompanied on the fiddles by Paul and Patrick Moore and the trio of Jim, Sheila and Jon Gibbs.
Hymns sung were “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Be Not Afraid,” and “O Danny Boy.”
Honorary pallbearers were: grandchildren, great grandchildren and all those who shared in his life.
Active pallbearers were sons: Kevin Freehill, Alphonse Freehill, Pat Freehill, Brian Freehill, Maurice Freehill, Tom Freehill, Kelly Freehill.
Interment followed in the Marwayne Cemetery.

Ann Dazman, of Lloydminster
DAZMAN: Ann Dazman of Lloydminster, Alberta passed away in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Center, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at the age of 81 years.
Ann is survived by: three children: Ed Dazman and his wife Fay of Ardrossen, Alberta; Elsie and her husband Russell Penny also of Ardrossen, Alberta; Marlene and her husband Bob Barrett of Lloydminster; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren as well as several other relatives.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Mike.
The funeral service for Ann was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, August 30, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Bohdan Nahachewsky officiating.
A eulogy was given by Aaron Buckingham.
Readings were given by Blanche MacDonald.
Music was played by Marlene Risling.
Active pallbearers were Grandchildren: Russell Penny, Terry Penny, Bobby Barrett Jr., Glenn Dazman, Lorne Bandura and Corey Pearce.
Interment followed in the Fairmount Cemetery.

Heather Ann Mitchell, of Lloydminster
MITCHELL: Heather Ann Mitchell of the Lloydminster District passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at the age of 17 years.
She was born on November 1, 1986 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
Heather is survived by her loving parents Jim and Loretta Mitchell, two brothers: Jesse and Christopher and by numerous other relatives.
Heather is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Bill & Evelyn Mitchell in 1997, Uncle Tom Turner in 1991 and maternal grandfather Eugene Weichler in 1989.
The funeral service was conducted from the First Baptist Church, Lloydminster on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ted Haas officiating.
The eulogy was given by Ellen Mitchell. The soloist Charlene Alexander sang “One Day At A Time”. The hymn sung was “How Great Thou Art”. The organist was Ruth Knispel.
The pallbearers were: Peter Weichler, Jason Branham, Ian Mitchell, Al Mitchell, Kirby Hayes, Ryan Rowland and Stephanie Whelan.

George Fredrick Kirtzinger, of Lashburn
Kirtzinger: George Fredrick Kirtzinger passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2004 at the age of eighty-three years. He was the eldest of six children born to George and Mary Kirtzinger of Cudworth, Saskatchewan. George grew up on a farm but left to work in Leduc during the oil boom, then worked with his Uncle Otto training race horses and finally settled in Lashburn where he owned and operated the Imperial Hotel for twenty-six years.
George married Edith Jessie Taylor on October twenty-sixth, 1949 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. They enjoyed fifty-four years of married life. During this time they had three children and seven grandchildren.
George was a remarkable man, known for his wit and humor. He was the classic Mr. Fix-It; if he couldn’t repair something then it couldn’t be done. George was a true and caring friend who was guided by his Christian values and beliefs. Family was very important to George. He was dedicated to his wife Edith, their children and grandchildren. He liked nothing better than to spend time with them at the family cottage on Moonlight Bay at Turtle Lake. Fond memories of times spent there together will live in the hearts of his family, friends and relatives.
George is lovingly survived by his wife and best friend Edith of Lashburn: and children: Sharon and her husband Bill Wotherspoon of Red Deer, Randy Kirtzinger and his special friend Janet of Lloydminster, Cheryl and her husband Keith Van Zandt of Innisfail: seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Danielle and Megan Wotherspoon of Calgary, Tyson and Lindsay Kirtzinger of Lloydminster and Kaitlyn and Shane Van Zandt of Innisfail: two brothers: Robert and his wife Elizabeth of Englefeld, Saskatchewan, Arnold and his wife Angeline of Cudworth, Saskatchewan: one sister, Eleanor and her husband Cliff Atchitson of Gabriela Island, British Columbia as well as numerous other relatives. “Uncle George” especially enjoyed visits with his nieces and nephews.
On Thursday, September 2, 2004 a prayer service was conducted from Saint Lucia’s Catholic Church, Lashburn followed by the mass of Christian burial on Friday, September 3 with Father Roque Concepcion officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren Jeremy, Tyson, Danielle, Lindsay, Megan, Kaitlyn and Shane.
Active pallbearers were his nephews John Kirzinger, Lenny Fewster, Jack Fewster, Gary Fewster, Dan Kirzinger and Raymond Kirzinger. Interment followed in the Lashburn Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the following for their care and support; the staff of the Turtle Lake Emergency ward, the nurses on the third floor of the Lloydminster Hospital, St. Walburg ambulance attendants, Father Roque, the music ministry of Saint Lucia’s Church (Helena Pike, Bert Thompson, and Bob Laforce), Bill Wotherspoon for the Eulogy, the women of Saint Lucia’s Parish for organizing and serving lunch and McCaw’s Funeral Home for their caring assistance. Thanks goes out to friends and relatives from Lashburn area, Turtle Lake and various locations across Canada for their overwhelming support by way of cards, flowers, food, phone calls, emails and donations, in George’s name, to many worthwhile causes. Our wonderful husband, father and grandfather, George, would truly have been honored by this thoughtfulness.
