Amy Krombein, of Maidstone, SK

KROMBEIN: Amy Krombein passed away in the Maidstone Hospital, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at the age of 97 years.
Amy is survived by: one son Jack Pike and his wife Marlene of Maidstone, one daughter Connie and her husband Laurie Donald of Loon Lake, son-in-law: Art Laborde, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Amy was predeceased by: her daughter, Joan and her husbands: Roland Pike and Louis Krombein.
The funeral service for Amy was conducted from the Maidstone Baptist Church, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Yeo officiating.
A eulogy was given by Brenda Findlay.
Active pallbearers were Grandsons: Bob Donald, Blair Donald, Gordon Marfleet, Lorne Pike, Gerry Lefebore and Roger Pike.
Interment followed in the Maidstone Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

Irmgard Jurke, of Lloydminster, SK

JURKE: Irmgard Jurke of Lloydminster, Sask-atchewan passed away in the Royal University Hospital on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at the age of 70 years.
Irmgard is survived by: her loving husband Rudy of Lloydminster; two sons: Brian and his wife Kathy of Lloydminster, Darrell and his wife Sherry of Maidstone, three grandchildren, one sister Marlene and her husband Gary Protsch, one brother Werner Wennekamp and his wife Chris.
The funeral service for Irmgard was conducted from the First Lutheran Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Nolan Astley officiating.
A eulogy was given by Brent Dallyn.
A tribute was given by Kathy and Sherry Jurke.
Brenda Findlay played the organ.
Special music was played by the Kashbuba Trio - Lauren, Pam and Bruce.
Honorary pallbearers were all those in attendance.
Active pallbearers were: Brent Dallyn, Miles Jurke, Trevor Jurke, Trent Wennekamp, Dwayne Kashuba and Parry Protsch.
Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

John Edward Moylan, of Paradise Hill, SK

MOYLAN: Please join us in the celebration of life of John Edward Moylan. Ed was born on September 12, 1920 in a field on the way to Lloydminster to Marion and Jack Moylan. Ed was the fourth child in the family - he was the baby. Ed attended the North Bend School. He married the “Love of his Life”, Lily Anderson, on November 7, 1942. They made their home in the North Bend District until 1966 and then moved to Paradise Hill where they continued to farm.
Ed loved cattle, horses, food and fishing. He was especially fond of border collie dogs and he had several that were well trained and helped on cattle drives and around the farm.
Ed was predeceased by: his wife, Lily; his parents; his brother, Bud; his sisters, Trixie and Emily; his sister-in-law, Vera; his brothers-in-law, Laurence and Elton; his daughter-in-law, Louise; and his grandchildren, John-Paul, Jamie and Ashley.
Among his many blessings are: his five children: Beverley Mercer (Jim), Keith Moylan (Eileen), Linda McKenzie, Jack Moylan (Dorothy), and Doug Moylan (Helen); fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was conducted from the Paradise Hill Kinsmen Hall, Paradise Hill, SK on Friday, June 11, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Keller officiating.
The pallbearers were: Shaine Moylan, Sheldon Moylan, Jason Mercer, Tom Mercer, Kent Moylan, Justin Moylan, Greg Mercer and Bernell McKenzie.
The honorary bearers were: Minda Kolter, Tonia Hingtgen, Nadine McKenzie, Jennifer Moylan and Shauna Rempel.
The eulogy was given by Shauna Rempel and Jennifer Moylan.
The ushers were Lloyd Thompson and William Lanfermann.
Interment followed in the Norbion Cemetery.
Marshall’s Funeral Home Ltd., of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan administered the funeral arrangements.

Stuart, Roger Holman, of Saskatoon, SK

HOLMAN: Stuart Roger Holman of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan passed away in St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at the age of 53 years.
Stuart is survived by: his brother Eric Holman and his wife Marg, his sister Sheila and her husband Ken Weighill, and two sisters-in-law: Joyce Holman and Marion Holman all of Lloydminster as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The funeral service for Stuart was conducted from St. John’s Anglican Church, Lloydminster on Monday, July 19, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon David Turvey officiating.
A eulogy was given by Sheila Weighill.
A solo was sung by Marlene Risling.
Hymns sung were “How Great Thou Art,” and “Safe In The Arms of Jesus,” accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston.
Honorary pallbearers were all his friends and staff at the Elmwood Lodge.
Active pallbearers were: Eric Weighill, Shane Weighill, Leon Holman, Glen Clayton, Jordie Detchon and Larry Holman.
Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.
A memorial service for Stuart was held at the Lodge in Saskatoon on July 26, 2004.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

Gertrude Gerber nee: Borzel, of Lloydminster, SK

GERBER: Gertrude “Gertie” Gerber was born on her parents‚ farm in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan on December 7, 1912. Gertie, also known as Trudy to her family and friends, married Earl Mark Gerber on December 23, 1934. Together they raised a family of seven children.
Gertie passed away peacefully on the morning of July 19, 2004 in the Lloydminster Hospital.
Gertie was predeceased by her husband Earl in March 1988, their daughter Dorothy in February 1935, her son-in-law Ken Thurlow in April 2001, her great grandson Dominique Burt, her parents Johanna and Adam Borzel, her sister and her five brothers.
Gertie is survived by her seven children and their families: Doris and Adolph Schock of Prince George, BC; Stan and Elaine Gerber of Leduc, AB; Fran and Charlie Ruttan of Prince George, BC; Calvin and Nancy Gerber of Cold Lake, AB; Lorne and Jan Gerber of Kelowna, BC; Gloria and Gerard Mack of Cold Lake, AB; and Bev Thurlow of Lloydminster, AB. Her twenty-one grandchildren and her thirty-nine great grandchildren also survive her.
The funeral service for Gertie Gerber was conducted in the First Baptist Church of Lloydminster, AB on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Mark Breitkreuz and Ben Dewbury officiating. Gerald Borzel offered the eulogy on behalf of Gertie’s family.
Hymns and songs of praise sung during the service: “We Are Part of the Family of God”, “In Your Hands”, “Power of Your Love”, and “When You Come Home”.
Honorary pallbearers were all those in attendance.
Active pallbearers were Ervin Schock, Darren Gerber, Brian Burt, Cory Kienitz, Derek Mack and Mark Thurlow.
Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service administered the funeral arrangements.

Helen Boyce nee: Noni, of Edmonton, AB formerly of Vermi

BOYCE: On February 1, 2005, at the age of 79 years, Helen Boyce (Noni) of Edmonton, formerly of Vermilion, AB passed away peacefully with her children by her side.
She is survived by her loving family; Shirley White (Jack), Lauraine Barber (Keith), Rodney Boyce (Marilyn) and SheriLyn DesJardins (Chuck); 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers - Chester Misiak (Iris), John Misiak (Lorna) and her sister-in-law Gwen Misiak, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Maximilian and Amelia Misiak, husband Ralph Fellows in 1945, husband William Boyce in 1993 and her brother Joe Misiak.
She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives.
Helen was born in Trzciniec, Poland and she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1930. Helen operated Boyce Flowers in Vermilion for 30 years.
Funeral services will be held in the Vermilion United Church, Vermilion, AB on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 2.00 P.M.
Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 10985-124 St., Edmonton, AB. T5M 9Z9 and the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, AB. T6G 1Z2.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster will administer the funeral arrangements.
