John lived his life to the fullest. He was skilled in so many areas horsemanship, sawing lumber, farming, a skilled blacksmith, machinist, business man, power man, restorer of old machinery and tractors, an antique collector, and a museum enthusiast. He was knowledgeable in so many areas, a historian with a crystal clear memory and an avid reader. Over the past four years he recorded his experiences in a manuscript of his book, hopefully to be published soon.
He had a deep love and concern for his family and community. He possessed an unsurpassed wealth of knowledge and information, that if it were not for his book, would have been lost forever. We would like to encourage others, to do as Dad has, and record their stories to honor the past, encourage the present, and look forward to for future generations. Thanks, Dad! You will be sorely missed by your family and friends.
