SODEMAN

Geraldine Sodeman of Red Deer, Alberta passed away on July 31, 2003 at the age of 78 years. Geraldine was born on August 1, 1924 in Consort, Alberta. She resided in Red Deer since 1965. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Nellie Sodeman of Consort, Alberta; three nephews Jerry Sodeman of Consort, Alberta, Michael Sodeman of Consort, Alberta, Harvey Sodeman of Lethbridge, Alberta; one niece Barbara Zieger of Stettler, Alberta and numerous relatives in the United States. She is predeceased by her parents Jerald and Amelia and one brother Eugene. Geraldine had a real zest for life. She loved laughter and she loved to play the piano. Services will be held in the chapel of the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 - 67TH Street, Red Deer, on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. E-mail condolences may be sent to condolences@reddeerfuneralhome.com and will be forwarded directly to the family. STRUS, Brenda
1924 - 2003

Mom passed away at Red Deer Hospital 1 week after her 79th birthday. She is survived by her 6 children, Nancy, Tony (Janet), Paula (Frank), Tim (Connie), Candace & Shaun, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and her sister Bev. She was predeceased by her husband Matt, Parents Jean & Clyde Talbot, sister Jill, brother Sonny and 2 beloved grandchildren. At Mom's request there will be no services. Cremation by Personal Alternatives. Rest in peace Mom, you deserve it.

HASTIE

Mr. Peter Scott Hastie, beloved husband of Phyllis, of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at the age of 85 years. Peter was born on March 8, 1915 in the Evarts district, the only child born to Scott and Dorothy Hastie. The family moved to Red Deer so that Peter could graduate from high school. For many years, Peter managed Horne & Pitfield and then Gaetz Cornett Wholesale. His employment led him to join the Association of Canadian Travelers in 1952, and this summer he was honored as the most senior member of ACT and led the Red Deer Parade. Peter has been a lifetime member of Knox Presbyterian Church where, over the years he served in many capacities. As well as his loving wife, Phyllis, Peter is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Ken) Swanson of Calgary; her son, James (Bonnie) Brandon of Red Deer; and six grandchildren, Kara, Tamara, Sharla, and Stuart Swanson and Scott and Anna Brandon. Peter was predeceased by his first wife, Esther (Muir) in 1962. Relatives and friends are invited to come and share their memories with the family at The Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, on Thursday evening, between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4718 Ross Street, Red Deer, on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Andrew Burnand officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Deer Cemetery. HERMARY

Henri Joseph Hermary peacefully passed away on Monday, February 26, 2001 at the age of 74 years. Henri is survived and lovingly remembered by his children Marcel (Deb) Hermary of Penhold, Beatrice Hermary, Debbie (Dave) Carritt, Tony (Sherry) Hermary, Don Hermary, Vince (Geeta) Hermary and their mother Eileen, all of Red Deer and seven grandchildren. Also by six brothers and five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Edward, mother Lillian and one brother George. The Vigil of Prayer will be at the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150-67th Street, on Thursday, March 1, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, March 2, 2001 from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 5508 48A Avenue, Red Deer, at 10:00 a.m. conducted by the Reverend Donald Stein. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice. SAUER

Irene Sauer passed away at the Lacombe Hospital on Feb. 24, 2001 at the age of 62 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Irene is predeceased by her daughter Sandra Lee Irene. Those left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Chester, her son Brian (Dawn) Sauer and daughter Lori-Ann (Blaine) Law, six grandchildren Michelle, Haley, Blair, Brittanye, Alison and Mason. A private (immediate) family celebration of Irene's life will be held at the Sauer's resident (5022 Wilson St. Blackfalds) on Friday, March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. followed by an open house for friends and family from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lacombe Hospital Palliative Care. PERSONAL ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL SERVICES of Red Deer and Calgary entrusted with arrangements.

WEBB

Mrs. Loletta May (Leta) Webb passed away in the Alexander Wing of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Saturday, February 24, 2001 at the age of 79 years. Leta was born in Lacombe, Alberta and was a resident there for many years. She had lived in Vernon since 1980 and was an active member of the Shamrock Square Dance Club at Killiney Beach. She will be lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Lois McClinton of Burnaby, B.C.; a nephew David Webb of Ponoka; a niece and her husband Sheila and George Wilkie of Bashaw; a God-daughter and her husband Lynette and Tom Cameron and their son Caleb of Red Deer; as well as various extended family members and many friends. Leta was predeceased by her husband E. James (Jim) Webb on March 14, 1994. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, AB. on Friday, March 2, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe. BRISTOW

Joseph Harvie Bristow, January 11, 1926-February 15, 2001. Joe is survived by his loving partner Noreen Andrew of Claresholm, his sons, Barry (Gail) Jim (Brenda), Kevin (Leslie), Gary (Karen), daughter Gail (David), stepchildren Kelly (Kim) and Lori, his grandchildren, Paige, Lucas, Chris, Crystal, Nathan, Nicole, Natasha, Johnathan and Howie. He is also survived by his siblings; Myrtle, Elma (George), John (Delta), Ken (Valley), numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Noreen Bristow, parents Jack and Maude, siblings; Harold, Beryl, Irene, Margaret and Phyllis. His professional career spanned over five decades in the oil patch, 25 years with Nowsco. Joe's wishes were that friends and family not mourn his passing but celebrate his life. Honoring these wishes there will be no services. When you remember Joe, think of him on the first tee box every morning and hitting double diamonds every night. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to a charity of one's choice, or family and friends wishing to contribute to a memorial erected in his memory at the Claresholm Golf Club, may do so to the Joe Bristow Memorial Fund (Box 2813, Claresholm, AB T0L 0T0 where he spent so many happy times in the past few years. Gordon Arthur Albers of Lacombe passed away in the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on February 10, 2001, at the age of 77 years after a lengthy respiratory illness. Predeceased by three brothers John, Andrew Jr. and James as well as eight sisters, Anna Albers, Mary Albers, Katherine Reid, Ernestine Bertrand, Christina Shipley, Sue Cartwright, Lillian Graft and Clara Johnson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Frankie; three sons, Bill (Peggy) of Lacombe, Wesley (Jeannette) of Red Deer and Warren of London, UK; two daughters Rose Marie Caine of New Provindence Island, Bahamas and Denise (Robert) Laurin of Red Deer; six grandsons, Bill (Yvonne) Gordon and children Kayla and James, Jason Fairlie, Jerrett (Linda) Fairlie and son Gage Matthew, Myles Albers, Corey Laurin, Ryan Laurin and one granddaughter Vanessa Albers and great granddaughter Mikaela Rose; one brother Harry of Wetaskiwin; one sister Doris Olson of Red Deer and numerous nieces and nephews.
