George Albert Depue passed away peacefully February 19, 2001 at the Michener Wellness Center in Red Deer, AB. George was born in Carmangay, Alberta July 31, 1939. He moved to Red Deer in 1955 and then to Rocky Mountain House in 1994. George enjoyed swimming, bowling, bingo and playing his harmonica. George is survived by his friends at COPE in Rocky Mountain House and a special friend Arthur Speakman in Red Deer. We will truly miss his kindness and sense of humor. Once in a while we are fortunate enough to meet someone we hold dear to our hearts. All of us who knew George feel comfort in finding this in our special friend. The Funeral Service will be held from the Christian Reformed Church, Rocky Mountain House on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Steward Frazer and Pastor Philip Stel officiating. Mr. Bernie V. DeWitt of Rimbey, Alberta, passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Acute Care on Friday, February 16, 2001 at the age of 79 years. Bernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; two sons, Robert (Jennifer) DeWitt, Clayton DeWitt; and one daughter, Donna (Dave) Keay, all of Rimbey; as well as five grandchildren, Tanya DeWitt of Rimbey, Stacey (Joe) Reck of Lloydminster; Donivan (Ellen) McCoy of Lloydminster, Shauna (Tony) Thomson of Rimbey; Paulette (Derek) Tona of Rimbey; and six great grandchildren. Bernie will also be lovingly remembered by three sisters, Ruth Malmas of Vancouver, B.C.; Vera (Edmund) Fyten of Bowden; Connie Viens of Red Deer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was predeceased by his father, Clayton in 1939; his mother, Kate in 1948; his grandson, Kelly in 1969; one sister, Merriell in 1977; and one niece, Arlene in 1952. Mr. Leonard John Domoney passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the age of 51 years. He is survived by his mother Lillian Domoney, three daughters, Sheila, Rachael, and Shauna, his son, Robert, and his three sisters, Joan, Marilyn, and Joyce. Leonard was predeceased by his brother, Ken Domoney. A celebration of Leonard's life will be held at the Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, on Monday, February 5, 2001 at 10:30 am. Born in Rainton, Sask., she took her high school as well as her business course in Red Deer. She worked in the office at Michener Centre (then the Provincial Training School) for a few years before moving to Calgary where she worked for the Federal Government. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Grace, two brothers George and Douglas, one sister Irene (Pat) and one nephew, Rod Himes. She is survived by two sisters Lila (Jim) Kauffman of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Lois (Tom) Chalmers of Red Deer as well as five nieces and two nephews. At her requires, there will be no service. Inurnment will be with her parents at Gilby Cemetery.

Irene Duff of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her two children Charlene Warminski and Gerald Fidler (Viola) both of Red Deer, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Irene is also survived by her brother Sid of Ponoka, and sister Jean of Camrose. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 1979, 3 sisters, Lottie, Grace adn Rita, 2 brothers Buster and Wilfred. A private family service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2001 in Red Deer. Interment will follow at a later date.
