DEPUE, George Albert

George Albert Depue passed away peacefully February 19, 2001 at the Michener Wellness Center in Red Deer, AB. George was born in Carmangay, Alberta July 31, 1939. He moved to Red Deer in 1955 and then to Rocky Mountain House in 1994. George enjoyed swimming, bowling, bingo and playing his harmonica. George is survived by his friends at COPE in Rocky Mountain House and a special friend Arthur Speakman in Red Deer. We will truly miss his kindness and sense of humor. Once in a while we are fortunate enough to meet someone we hold dear to our hearts. All of us who knew George feel comfort in finding this in our special friend. The Funeral Service will be held from the Christian Reformed Church, Rocky Mountain House on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Steward Frazer and Pastor Philip Stel officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule funeral homes, entrusted with the arrangements. 403-845-2626

DeWITT

Mr. Bernie V. DeWitt of Rimbey, Alberta, passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Acute Care on Friday, February 16, 2001 at the age of 79 years. Bernie will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; two sons, Robert (Jennifer) DeWitt, Clayton DeWitt; and one daughter, Donna (Dave) Keay, all of Rimbey; as well as five grandchildren, Tanya DeWitt of Rimbey, Stacey (Joe) Reck of Lloydminster; Donivan (Ellen) McCoy of Lloydminster, Shauna (Tony) Thomson of Rimbey; Paulette (Derek) Tona of Rimbey; and six great grandchildren. Bernie will also be lovingly remembered by three sisters, Ruth Malmas of Vancouver, B.C.; Vera (Edmund) Fyten of Bowden; Connie Viens of Red Deer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was predeceased by his father, Clayton in 1939; his mother, Kate in 1948; his grandson, Kelly in 1969; one sister, Merriell in 1977; and one niece, Arlene in 1952. Memorial Services will be held at the Rimbey Church of the Nazarene, Rimbey on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Reg Darnell officiating. Cremation. If friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Rimbey Health Services Donation Program, c/o Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Acute Care, Box 440, Rimbey Alberta T0C 2J0. Cathy Dicy of Alix, AB passed away suddenly on February 17, 2001 at the age of 41. Memorial services will be held at Bowker Funeral Home, 5137 50th Ave., Ponoka, AB. at 11:00 a.m. on February 23, 2001.

DOMONEY

Mr. Leonard John Domoney passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the age of 51 years. He is survived by his mother Lillian Domoney, three daughters, Sheila, Rachael, and Shauna, his son, Robert, and his three sisters, Joan, Marilyn, and Joyce. Leonard was predeceased by his brother, Ken Domoney. A celebration of Leonard's life will be held at the Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, on Monday, February 5, 2001 at 10:30 am. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Grace, two brothers George and Douglas, one sister Irene (Pat) and one nephew, Rod Himes. She is survived by two sisters Lila (Jim) Kauffman of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Lois (Tom) Chalmers of Red Deer as well as five nieces and two nephews. At her requires, there will be no service. Inurnment will be with her parents at Gilby Cemetery.

DUFF

Irene Duff of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her two children Charlene Warminski and Gerald Fidler (Viola) both of Red Deer, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Irene is also survived by her brother Sid of Ponoka, and sister Jean of Camrose. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 1979, 3 sisters, Lottie, Grace adn Rita, 2 brothers Buster and Wilfred. A private family service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2001 in Red Deer. Interment will follow at a later date. Quentin Fate. On Saturday February 17, 2001, Mr. Quentin Fate of Ponoka passed away at the age of 85 years. Mr. Fate will be lovingly remembered by his children: Dave (Gerry) Fate of Olds, Mitzie (Oscar) Wiancko of Ponoka, Ken (Helen) Fate of Grande Cache and Sharon (Leon) Scott of Ponoka; 4 foster children; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; and his sister June Walsh of Calgary. He was predeceased by his wife, Del Fate and his sister, Eva Purnell. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ponoka United Church, 5020 - 52 Avenue, Ponoka with Reverend Stuart Jackson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Ponoka Home Care, Ponoka General Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) Psychiatric Nursing Association of Alberta, or any other charity of your choice. GEORGESON

Edna Georgeson of Cochrane passed away on Monday, February 5, 2001 at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her loving family, one sister Florence (Howie) Bowles, 3 daughters, Darlene (Herb) Bohning, Marilyn (Frank) Bitonti, and Marcy (Perry) Hammer; one daughter-in-law Beatrice Janzen; 6 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Edna was predeceased by 2 sons, 2 grandsons, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, AB, on Friday, February 9, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna's memory may be made to the Verdon School Historical Society, 9332-67A Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T6B 1R6.
