Mrs. Nancy (Douglas) Carr passed away in Vancouver Hospital on June 24, 2001 at the age of 78 years, following a long illness. She is survived by her five children and their families. Also by brothers James (Mary) of Delburne, Smiley (Rose) of Elnora and sister Lillian (George) of Ponoka and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and one brother. Cremation and burial.

Mr. Max E. Connelly of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at his home on July 17, 2001 at the age of 68 years. Max will be lovingly remembered by three sons, Ed (Colleen) Connelly; David (Joy) Connelly; Doug Connelly and his friend, Shelly McNutt; all of Rocky Mountain House; two daughters, Barbara (Mike) Damron of Sylvan Lake; and Tara Connelly and her husband, Terry Donald of Rimbey; as well as 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Max was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Martha in 1998; his sister, Virginia in 2000; and two uncles, Herbert and Cliff. Memorial Services will be held at the Bentley United Church, Bentley on Monday, July 23, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Frank Lough officiating. Cremation. Heather Lynn Cook of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, on Thursday, July 5, 2001 at the age of 37 years, following a long and courageous battle. Heather had a great sense of design and loved decorating her home, she was also an avid reader. She is survived by her loving daughter, Christy of Red Deer; and is the cherished daughter of Gordon and Doreen Cook; her two brothers, Dennis of Terrace, B.C. and Danny of Red Deer; her sister, Tammy (Dean) Thompson of Bonnyville; as well as her three nieces and three nephews. A service of remembrance of Heather Cook's life will be held at the Eventide Funeral Chapel, Red Deer, on Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Alto-Reste Cemetery. Mr. Rodney Elvis Cook of Lacombe, formerly of Edmonton, passed away suddenly on July 4, 2001 at the age of 45 years. Rod was born in Edmonton where he spent most of his life. He moved to Central Alberta six years ago and was employed in the construction and trucking industries. Rodney loved life and the great outdoors, sledding, fishing. His zest for life showed whenever he was around people. Predeceased by his father Wm. Cook in 1960 and his brother Keith in 1991, he is survived by his loving wife Aileen of Lacombe; stepchildren, Teresa (Colin) Wozny of Spruce Grove, Shane and Tamara at home; grand-children, Aaron and Erica; his mother, Gladys Cook of Edmonton; and brother, Dwayne (Lorraine) Cook of Edmonton; as well as five nieces, Tanya, Tera, Toni, Rachelle and Sherry. Allan Wesley Coram (June 26, 1930 - July 10, 2001) passed away in the Red Deer Regional Hospital. He will be lovingly held in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Diane of 44 years, daughter Shevon Medicraft, son-in-law Stephen and grandchildren Harris and Belle. His mother Nellie Coram and sister Irene White, brother-in-law Jim are forever touched by his life. As a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, father-in-law, great uncle, great great uncle, friend, and grandpa, he quietly walked through life with a gentleness and calmness treasured by all he knew. He will be honored at a memorial service to be held Friday, July 13, at 1 pm. at Eventide Funeral Chapel in Red Deer.

Linda Mae Cox of Bentley passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre after a lengthy illness on Thursday July 19, 2001 at the age of 77 years. Linda was born to Roy and Catherine Wiese of Bentley Feb 26, 1924. Linda will be lovingly remembered by one daughter Sharon Hoppus of Red Deer and sons Terry (Catherine) of Mission B.C., Randy (Cheryl) of Sylvan Lake, Pat (Lenora) of Clive, eleven grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. DAVIES, DAVE
passed away peacefully in Peterborough Ontario, on July 6, 2001 at the age of 87. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Dave worked from Calgary for the C.P. Railway for 22 years. He also had a lucrative trucking business for several years. He was very involved with harness racers. Trotters were his passion. He enjoyed training occasionally raced. Dave leaves to mourn his wife Lena and step-son Keith. Sister Gwen Cassidy and Sisters-in-law Irene Davies and Ann Davies of Edmonton, Nell Davies of Red Deer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by twin brother Bill in 1984, Edward (Red) in 1987 and Lloyd George in 1997. Memorial Services will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 3628-57 Ave. Red Deer (West Park) at 3:00 p.m. July 31st. Judy Davis of Nanaimo, B.C., formerly of Red Deer, Alberta passed away in Nanaimo Hospital on July 3, 2001. She is survived by her two sons, Ernie and Chris; her parents, Thelma and Ray Davis; her sisters, Joyce and Nora; her brother, Loren (all from Red Deer); and her brother, Lonnie from Nanaimo. Judy was predeceased by her sister, Donna, her two brothers, Billy and Gary, and her nephew, Jeffrey. Judy will be sadly missed by all of her family. Her funeral was in Nanaimo on July 9, 2001.
