MOORE

Ronald Arthur Moore passed away at the Ponoka Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at the age of 93 years. Ronald was born in Red Deer, Alberta on April 29, 1909. His parents George and Linda Moore had arrived in Red Deer from Ontario the previous month along with his older brother Gordon. Ronald is survived by five sisters; Kathleen Taylor of Red Deer, Donalda Budvarson of Spruceview, Noreen Bussard of Olds, Lois Kropiniak of Lethbridge and Betty Dennis of Surrey, B.C. He is also survived by his brothers; Clifford Moore of Vancouver and Kenneth Moore of Westbank, B.C. and a sister-in-law Mary Moore of Sylvan Lake, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon, sisters Jean Moore and Marjorie Willing, brothers-in-law Lorren Taylor, Richard Willing, Jack Bussard, Clarence Kropiniak, Pat Dennis, a sister-in-law Patricia Moore and his cousin Frank Moore. Ronald farmed, raising both grain and Registered Hereford cattle until in retirement in 1973. After retirement, Ronald drove to Sylvan lake promptly at 9:00 a.m. each morning for coffee and enjoyed the many discussions of current events with his friends. Ronald lived an active life, curling in the winter and golfing in the summer, until the time he moved into the Sylvan Lake Lodge in November 1998 and just recently to a nursing home in Ponoka. A memorial service will be held at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sylvan Lake at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 with the Reverend Bob Wilson officiating.

MOSELEY

Benjamin Dale Moseley of Red Deer passed away Monday, May 27, 2002 at the age of 25. Funeral Services will be held from the "67th Street Chapel" of the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 - 67th Street, Red Deer, Friday, May 31, 2002 1:00 p.m. E-mail condolences may be sent through www.reddeerfuneralhome.comand will be forwarded directly to the family. NEROSKY

Mr. John Wasyl Nerosky of Red Deer pased away on Sunday, June 23, 2002 at the age of 76 years. Funeral Services for the late Mr. John Wasyl Nerosky will be held on Friday, June 28, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. at Michener Services in the Beaver Hall Northside Chapel with the Reverend Grant Woodcock officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Edmonton. NESS, LeRoy

On Monday, June 17, 2002 LeRoy passed away at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his wife Connie; eleven children, Guy, Randy, Barry, Garry, Candy, Gene, Everett, Sandra, Juanita, Phyllis, and Rab (Connie); numerous grandchildren; as well as his brother Clayton. Predeceased by his son Clayton; parents Elsie and Pat; sister Linda and his brother Barry. Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so on Friday, June 21, 2002 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home (9810 - 34 Avenue). NIEMI

Mildred Agnes Elenore Niemi passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Valley park Manor on June 19, 2002. She was born and grew up on the farm at Benalto. She attended school at Melita, Kuusamo and high school in Red Deer. Mildred continued her education at Normal School in Calgary where she received her teacher's certificate. She taught at numerous Alberta schools before marrying Vester on December 26, 1946. Mildred took time off teaching to have children and stayed home with them during their early years. She resumed teaching in 1954 and spend many fulfilling years in Eckville and Red Deer schools. During this time she earned her degree by attending night classes and summer sessions. She was held in high esteem by students, parents and fellow teachers. After teaching for 35 years, she retired in 1980. Mildred was a dedicated member of the Benalto Royal Purple. She was actively involved and enjoyed the time spent with the many friends she made. Her family meant the world to her and we will miss her in our lives. She is survived by her children, Barb (Gene) Bednard of Drumheller and Dale (Sandy) Niemi of Red Deer, her sister Annie Simpson, grandchildren Angela Niemi-Ouellet (Darcy), Traci Bednard (Reagan Winchester), Todd Niemi (Jody Hill), Pat Niemi, Karin Bednard, Sean Niemi (Christine Small), her great grandchildren Hannah and Sadie Ouellet and Logan Niemi as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, her brother Arnold, her parents Elma and Swan Anderson, her husband Vester and her son Ron. Funeral services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel Lacombe on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta, #220, 2323-32 Ave N.E., Calgary, AB. OLDRING

Mr. Robert Cameron "Robby" Oldring of Lacombe passed away while surrounded by his family at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at the age of 90 years. An avid curler and fisherman, Robby will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Velma; son, Derald (Mary) Oldring, daughter Joanne (Dan) Sydiaha; as well as his brother George (Jake). He is forever remembered by his grandchildren Chris Beirnes and Kathleen, Lisa and Rob Oldring, and two great granddaughters. OLDS, Casey Jean

We hold your close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again. Casey Jean Olds was born March 22, 2002 in Camrose, Alberta and passed away peacefully in our loving arms on June 1, 2002 at the Stollery Children's Hospital, University of Alberta, Edmonton. Casey will be lovingly remembered by his parents Kevin Olds and Crystal Butler; his great grandmothers Louise Olds of Oyen and Bessie Scarff of Grande Prairie, his grandmothers Joyce Biem of Red Deer and Carol Butler of Edmonton; his grandma and grandpa Jean and Bernie Olds of Cereal; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be held from the Ferintosh United Church on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Dorenlee Cemetery. PASUTTO (Barbero)

Mrs. Eva Pasutto of Red Deer passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital in the early hours of Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the age of 87 years. Eva was born in Bellevue, Alberta on February 11, 1915. She treasured her memories as a child growing up on a farm on the Livingstone Range. Eva began her 65 year marriage to Joe at the young age of 16. Their early years were spent in Kimberly, British Columbia before moving on to their first hotel business in Lundbreck, Alberta. After this, moving on to Alix then Lethbridge and eventually to Red Deer. They purchased the Capri Motor Hotel in 1963. From there, Joe and Eva, Al and Don worked together to make the Capri Centre. Eva made lasting friendships with many she worked with over the years, they were like extended family to her. She was very proud of the scholarship in her name for first year nursing students. For several years she enjoyed singing with the Waskasoo Singers and none of her grandchildren could ever forget her energetic rendition of The Big Rock Candy Mountain. The family loved to go to Granny's for polenta, stew, risotto and lemon meringue pie. Time seemed to stand still as we listen to Eva's adventures of days past. Eva liked to travel with her husband and appreciated seeing her sisters in the Pass. She was so happy the children were so close by and cherished visits with her close friends. Eva was truly the matriarch and heart of our family. There is so much to say, Eva died too soon and she will be missed. Eva is the loving mother of her two sons; Al Pasutto Sr. of Penhold and Don Pasutto of Red Deer. Eva is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law; Ann and Ladi Poch, Hilda and Joseph Dziedzic and Irma and John Kostyniuk of Blairmore, Alberta, her sister-in-law Pearl Barbero of Beaver Mines and her Aunt Marion Gianino of Bellevue. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Allan Pasutto Jr., and Joleen Losness, Rhonda and Bruce Peturson, Tim Pasutto, LaDonna and Blair Steeves, Tanya and Cary Sutyla, Sheryl and Rob Wallator, Dean Pasutto and Julie Barrus and Shane Pasutto all of Red Deer. She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Jadon, Joel, Ryan, Chelsey, Tyler, Nicholas, Jaeger, Cody, Taze, Ely-Joe, Samantha, Zane, Wyatt and newcomer baby girl Brogan as well as numerous dear nieces and nephews. Other family members; Mona Kay Pasutto, Tracey Dawn Verloop, Joni Fisher Pasutto, Connie Pasutto, Sarah Rowlands Pasutto and Pam Martin. Eva was predeceased by her beloved husband Joe (Guiseppe) Pasutto, her father, Battista Barbero on November 21, 1966; her mother Cecilia Gianino on February 14, 1976, her brother, Louis in 1985, Uncle Pete Gianino in August 1985, her darling daughter-in-law Louise Pasutto and her dear grandson David Pasutto, as well as many family in Canada, France and Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to come and share their memories with the family at Eventide Funeral Chapels on Tuesday evening between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Eva's life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels on Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Alto-Reste Cemetery. If desired, memorial tributes in Eva's honor may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 1X2.
