Surrounded by her family, Mrs. Victoria Elizabeth Bostock passed away in Regina at Regina Pasqua Hospital on March 19, 2003 at the age of 70 years. Predeceased by her parents Dochitza and Theodore Pauliuk; brother John and his wife Jean; sister Lena; sister-in-law Victoria; brother-in-law John Silzer; and daughter Denise. Survived by her husband Kenneth and their sons, Douglas (Dianne) in Red Deer, AB. and their children, Scott (Denielle), great grandchildren Makennah and Kelsi, and sons Trevor, Ryan and Derek; Dwight in Regina Beach and his children, Travis, Matthew and Elisa; Darren (Noella) of Regina and their children Austin, Isaac, Giselle and Evan; sister Anna (Walter) in McLean and their children, Darlene (Lloyd), Brett (Erin) and Derek; Noreen (Alan), Kyle and Curtis; Angela (Trevor); sister Mary Silzer and her sons Kenneth, Wayne and his daughter Fawn, Murray (Carol) and their children, Trevor (Lindsay) and Tracy; brother George and his children Corinne (Harold) and Andrea (Steve) and their children Karlee and Tyla; Tim and his son Joshua; Rick (Susan), Danielle and Eric; Heather (Walter) and Victoria; brother Alex; Hal (Betty) and their children, Nathan, Courtney and Johanna and her children John, Tracey and Evan; Greg (Heather) and their son Shawn; Karen (Peter) and their daughter Melissa, all of Saskatoon. CHAMBERS, DARCY EDWIN
June 9, 1962 - March 21, 2003
It is with the greatest deepest sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved Darcy. A wonderful, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will deeply missed. We all will cherish every moment we had to spend with him. For Darcy, family always came first. His friends were a big part of his life. He was caring, sincere, full of life, and always happy. It brings us great sadness that God decided to take this man from our lives, at such a young age. "You left too soon, there was a lot of life left to share." Darcy is survived by his loving wife Maureen, their two sons, Colton (9) and Dillon (5), and one daughter Miranda (2), Darcy's parents Joan and Darrell Chambers, sisters Diana (Dennis), Sherry (Don); brothers Greg (Candis), Chris, Dean (Yolanda); nieces and nephews: Philip, Tabitha, Sonja, Benjamen, T.J. He was loved by all and gave love to all. If you were fortunate to meet or know Darcy, you would have known he was a great man. Darcy worked in the oil and gas industry for 22 years. CONROY, Reginald
Reginald Leroy Conroy passed away in the early hours on Sunday, March 16, 2003 at Red Deer, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife Ollie, son Michael (Stephanie) of Red Deer, daughter Donna (Brian) Buelow of Winnipeg, son Thomas (Charlene) of Red Deer, son Steven (Sheri) of Red Deer, adopted daughter Cristal (Kevin) Brevik of Hafford, SK, his grandchildren Amanda, Jason, Kaitlin, Danielle, Delaney, James, Teegan, Courtney and Elias. He is also survived by two of his sisters Barbara (Bill) Betts of Doaktown, NB and Phyllis (Bob) Bleakney also of NB and his special niece Beth Saunders (Gary Skutar) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Reg was born November 9, 1924 at Parkers Ridge, New Brunswick. He left school at a very early age to support himself. At 15, he fibbed about his age and joined the armed forces. He was pleased to be amongst those who liberated Holland towards the end of WWII and never forgot the warm welcome the Canadians received from the Dutch people. In 1958 he left the forces to try his hand at private enterprise. Reg had a very fine business mind and operated many successful businesses in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan and Alberta. He loved the challenge, and for him it was more like recreation than work. Other interests included boxing, hockey, baseball, golf, shuffleboard and playing cards with his sister Barb and her husband Bill. Reg's grandchildren were the light of his life. He delighted in watching them grow and never tired entertaining them and helping them to develop into fine young people. Reg touched many hearts throughout his life, and was greatly loved. The years he shared with us will always be cherished. His sense of fairness, generosity and kind-heartedness will forever be remembered. Cremation has already taken place. deHAAN
Harmen (Harm) deHaan died Friday, March 21, 2003 at his residence in Red Deer, Alberta in his 57th year. Son of the late Jan and Jantje deHaan. Harm leaves behind his daughter Tammy-Lee Brannan (Jimmy); brothers, Mel (Eileen), Willy (Joan), Corny (Annette), Tinus (Jackie); and one sister Renee. Two grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends also survived Harm. A Memorial Service will be held at the West Park Church of the Nazarene, 3920 57 Avenue on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jeff Baker officiating. "Happy" will be laid to rest with his parents in Quyon, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be graciously accepted.
DENSMORE, Harry Roland
Harry Roland passed away on March 14, 2003 in Victoria, B.C. Harry was born on Dec. 9, 1929 in Innisfail Alberta. He is survived by Lyn, his loving wife of 48 years, his children Brent (Nancy), Gregg (Kathy), Joni (Lionel) Borges, and five grandchildren, Brad, Shannon, Spencer, Damian and Daniel, who he adored. He is also survived by five sisters Olive (Art) Emmott, Phyllis (Alfio) Truant, Joyce (John) Kaare, Katie (Eric) Steele and Millie (Irv) Keylock, and his many loving nieces and nephews. Harry grew up in Red Deer and attended U. of Alberta in Edmonton. Harry first taught at the Aberdeen School east of Innisfail and later in Red Deer. Lyn and Harry married and moved to Eckville Ab in 1954 where he was a member of the Eckville Co-op Board, the Presbyterian Church Board, and the Eckville Lions Club. He was very active in promoting sports and activities for the youth of the community. Harry and his family moved to Kamloops B.C. in 1963 where he taught at Kamloops Senior Secondary. During his career he also taught briefly at Vernon and Sylvan Lake. Harry touched the lives of many - positively influencing and educating scores of students. Harry loved spending time with his family at their cabin on Little Shuswap Lake. He enjoyed curling, golfing, and he was a dedicated father supporting his children in their many endeavours. Harry and Lyn moved to Victoria upon retiring. He enjoyed his retirement; traveling, exploring the Island, golfing and this time, supporting his grandchildren in their many endeavours. Harry was a very loving, dedicated and personable man who will be greatly missed by many. A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services in Victoria on Friday March 21, 2003 at 12:00. HOHN, Ruth
Mrs. Ruth Lillian Jean Hohn, beloved wife of Mr. August Edward Hohn of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Ruth was born December 23, 1923 at Three Hills, Alberta. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to do special things for her family and in later years loved watching her two grandsons play hockey. Ruth was known and referred to fondly at all the rinks as Grandma. For twenty-four years, Ruth worked at the Michener Centre in Red Deer, where again her life revolved around helping and giving to others. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to make crafts and her beautiful handiwork was admired by all who knew her. Ruth was a loving, kind and generous person to all she knew and she will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered. Ruth leaves to mourn her loss, her beloved husband of 60 years, August and her loving daughters, Linda of Calgary, Alberta and Karen and Tony Wilson of Alix, Alberta, her adoring grandsons, Matthew Nowlin of Calgary, Alberta and Tyler Nowlin of Alix, Alberta. She is also survived by a sister, Dagmar Monroe (John) of Red Deer, a brother, Lloyd (Nancy) Anderson of Penticton, British Columbia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. HOLDEN, Marguerite
Mrs. Marguerite Holden passed away at her home in Red Deer on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her loving family: a son, Thomas Holden of Red Deer; a daughter, Joanne (David) MacDonald of Sylvan Lake; two grandchildren, Martin Swain and his children, Conner and Tavia; and Jennifer Swain and her children, Jade, Shoney and Joshua. Marguerite is also survived by one sister, Vivian (Jim) Wylie; a sister-in-law, Elsie Riley and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom in 1971; a grandson, Daniel; a brother, Volney and her parents.
