WALTON, Margaret

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Walton, beloved wife of Harry Walton passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Monday, March 24, 2003 at the age of 78 years. She is the loving mother of Diane Walton-LeBlanc (Richard) of Alberta Beach, Alberta. She is also survived by grand-daughter, Danica LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Dean and parents Clifford and Irene Dean. At Margaret's request there will be no funeral.Condolences emailed to condolences@reddeerfuneralhome.com will be forwarded directly to the family. (1917-2003)

Ruth Stella Weighill passed away in Calgary on March 25, 2003. Funeral services at Gordondale, Alberta on Saturday March 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial services in Red Deer on April 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Word of Life Church. WILSON, Bertha Louise

Mrs. Bertha Louise Wilson (nee Bourne), beloved wife of Mr. Malcolm Wilson of Delburne, Alberta, passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Monday, March 17, 2003 at the age of 69 years. Bertha was born on May 6, 1933 at Nanton, Alberta. She was a wonderful wife and mother, always giving her love and devotion to her husband, Malcolm and their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her and she had a way of showing it in everything she did for them. Bertha was a great fan of the outdoors and loved camping and fishing. She could reel them in along with the best. As well, being a faithful wife, Bertha worked alongside her husband and best friend, Malcolm, driving pilot truck for their own business. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who loved and knew her but lovingly cherished and remembered in our hearts. Bertha leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband Malcolm and her children; Rose of Olds, Alberta, John and his wife Sheila of Calgary, Alberta, Lerey and her husband Dee of Red Deer, Bernice and Duane of Red Deer, Mary and her husband James of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Ida and her husband Ken of Barrie, Ontario, George of Red Deer and Diana and her husband Harold of Halkirk, Alberta. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters, Florence and her husband Jim and Hilda and her husband Tom, brother Bill and his wife Anne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bertha was predeceased by a son Glenn, brother Norman and parents Mabel and Carl. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, March 20, 2003 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Services for the late Mrs. Bertha Wilson will be held at Delburne United Church, Delburne, Alberta on Friday, March 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend Susan Skrepneck officiating. WILTON

In sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Harold Robert Wilton, beloved husband of Mary. Harold passed away peacefully on March 4, 2003 at his home with his family at his side. Harold was born in Bentley, Alberta on November 16, 1928, the third child of Percy and Mary Wilton. Harold lived his 74 years with family and friends in the community of Bentley. A Butcher by trade, Harold owned and operated the Bentley Meat Lockers for twenty-five years. Together with his wife, Harold and Mary provided outstanding service in butchering, cutting, wrapping and meat sales to the patrons of Gull Lake and Bentley and surrounding area. Harold was very active in community service clubs and activities. Harold has been a member of the Bentley Elks, the Bentley Volunteer Fire Department and was one of the founding members of the Bentley Ski Club. He held numerous appointments: Secretary Treasurer of the Alberta Locker Association, Vice President of the Board of Trade (Chamber of Commerce), member of the Bentley Hospital Board, treasurer of the Bentley Community Hall Association. In his younger years Harold was an avid baseball player with the Bentley Baseball Club and was a member of the Bentley Jubilee Band where he played a bass drum. He also loved to water ski and snow ski. Harold's true enjoyments in life were derived from his time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and his many interests of hunting, fishing, camping, his raspberry patch, repairing and refinishing furniture and woodworking. He also enjoyed the many social gatherings with family and friends at their home and also their cabin at Buck Lake, Alberta. Harold will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary; his son Tim (Kari) of Hope, B.C.; his daughter Sherry and partner Bruce Perry of Kamloops, B.C.; his grandchildren MacKenzie, Emma, Chato and Shannon; great granddaughters, Mihena and Angelous. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Stuart (Norah) Wilton, Orval Wilton, Marion (Mike) Wandio; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold was predeceased by his mother (Mary) and father (Percy), brother (Glen) and sister-in-law (Pat). A "Celebration of Life" for Harold will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bentley Community Church. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Elks, and the Royal Purple Fund for Children, 100, 2629 29th Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4S 9Z9. CARLYLE, Archibald David

Mr. Archibald David Carlyle (Archie) of Blackfalds passed away on May 31, 2003 at home. Born in Chesterville, Ontario on September 2, 1912 Archie was raised and educated in the Edmonton area. He began farming in the Blindman Valley in the mid - 1930's. Archie was a member of the Rural Electrification Board when power was first brought to the Blindman Valley. He helped to establish the first Blindman Valley 4-H beef club. He was a long standing member of the board of the Aspelund Mutual Telephone Company. Archie was a past chairman of the Lacombe School Board. In 1993 Archie was awarded the Canada 125 Medal For Community Service. The Bentley community and the Bentley United Church were integral parts of his life. Archie was predeceased by his wife, Sarah (Heenan), in 1993 and by his siblings Helen, Donald, Robert, Jean, Bill, and Marion. Archie leaves to mourn: his children, Donna (Dean) Suggett of Edmonton, David (Patsy) of Blackfalds, Nancy (Rich) Bailey of Toronto, and Lynda (Terry) Morgan of Red Deer, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He will be very fondly remembered by other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held at the Bentley United Church on Saturday June 7, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Cremation. Friends wishing to, may make a memorial contribution to the Bentley United Church, 4901 50 Ave, Bentley, Alberta T0C 0J0, or to the charity of their choice. COE, THOMAS ROLAND

Tom Coe passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 3, 2003. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 11, 1927. Tom served in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. After his discharge he was a salesman and later owned and operated Midway Shell Service Station in Red Deer until his retirement. He was a member of the Red Deer Shrine and Al Azhar Temple and very involved with the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children. He also enjoyed membership in the Royal Canadian Legion and Elks Club of Red Deer. Tom is survived by his loving wife Colette, one son Alan Coe and his wife Kathy of Calgary, his brother John Coe and wife Doreen of Powell River, BC, also many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by all his brothers and sisters-in-law and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Roland and Ivy Coe and also one brother Donald Coe. Respecting Tom's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. Eventide Funeral Chapels in charge of cremation and remains will rest in the columbarium at Eventide.

POWELL, PATSY
1946-2003

It is with great sadness and many fond memories, that we announce the passing of our friend Pat on Friday, May 30, 2003. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. in Coronation Park. A small service will follow at the Rusty Pelican.

SAVAGE

Nellie-May (Kent) Savage passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Nursing Home on May 31, 2003 at the age of 90. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Julie (Stan) Cook; grandchildren, Walter (Neala) Cook and Frances (Chris) Knelson; also five dearly loved great grandchildren, Tim, Josh, Melissa Knelson and Maegon and Madison Cook. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter in 1999. Nellie-May leaves behind many friends in the Red Deer River Naturalists and the Red Deer and many other square dance clubs. During their retirement, Nellie-May and Walter danced their way across North America viewing and helping wildlife along the way. As Nellie-May wished, her body was donated to the U of A Anatomy Department. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to the Medicine River Wildlife Rehab Centre, Box 115, Spruceview, Alberta T0M 1V0 or the charity of the donor's choice. Memorial service to be announced later.
