Mrs. Patricia Joy Chadwick of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Rimbey Extended Care Centre, Rimbey on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at the age of 78 years. Pat was born on March 10, 1925 in Transcona, Manitoba. She graduated from nursing in 1947 and was soon married to Rod. They then spent the next five years in the Orient and England - eventually making Red Deer their home for the past fifty years. Pat enjoyed bridge, entertaining, traveling and most of all, her grandchildren. She was a long time member of St. Luke's Anglican Church. She spent most of her lifetime summers at the family cottage in Minaki, Ontario, which she loved very much. Pat was always opening her home to many friends she had made throughout her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her children; Saxon and her husband, Steve Lambert of Burlington, Ontario, Pamela Schiewe, Gail and her husband, Don Hall, Peter and his wife, Diane, Kerry and her husband, Fred McCorry and her ten grandchildren, Tyler Lambert, Launie Shiewe, Jessica Schiewe, Kristie Hall, Matthew Hall, Julie Chadwick, Jamie Chadwick, Tanya McCorry, Shyla McCorry and Brittany McCorry. Pat is also survived by one brother, Ross and his wife, Kay Currie of Oakville, Ontario, one sister, Betty Cameron of Calgary, their families, one brother-in-law, Lionel Chadwick of the United States and one sister-in-law, Joyce Cox of Winnipeg, Manitoba and their families. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Dr. R.M. (Chad) Chadwick and her infant daughter, Susan. A Celebration of Patricia's Life will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 4929 - 54th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with The Reverend John McKay officiating. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. In place of flowers, Memorial Donations in Pat's Honour may be made directly to the Rimbey Extended Care Facility, Box 440, Rimbey, Alberta, T0C 2J0 with the families expressed appreciation of the care she received there. Howard Rae Coatham of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 23, 2003 at the age of 76 years. Born on April 28, 1927 on a small farm near Orono, Ontario. Howard settled out west in his adult years and was well known for his involvement in the trucking industry. He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kay); five daughters: Judy Purdie of Red Deer, Dawn (Al) Avilla on California, Wendy (Bud) Bagnall of Red Deer, Sue Coatham (Denise) of Calgary, Crystal (Lyle) Ophus of Red Deer; nine grand-children, seven great grandchildren, stepchildren: Terry, Cory (Corlene) Gow of Red Deer, David (Barb) Gow of Edmonton, Bonnie Buskop (Andy) of Sylvan Lake, Bruce (Tracy) Gow of Edmonton along with several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. His brothers also survive Howard: Robert (Janet) of Red Deer, Edward (Grace) of Orono, Ontario and Thomas of Bowmanville, Ontario. Howard also left behind a special pet companion, Dusty. Howard was predeceased by the Mother of his children, Alberta Coatham (Hamilton), his only son Thomas, nephew Billy Coatham, his parents Halsted and Kathryn and stepdaughter Barb Doyle. Other family members and friends will sadly miss Howard. Special thanks to Dr. Holmes, Albert and Isabel Carlile, the EMS personnel and City RCMP. CODE Mary Isabel (Cruickshank)
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Isabel Code. She died peacefully at Mayfair Nursing Home in Port Coquitlam, B.C. on May 03, 2003 - a day after her 91st birthday. She is survived by her son Barry, beloved daughter-in-law Myrna, granddaughter Stephanie, grandson Michael (Laura) and two great grandsons - Zach and Isaac, brothers Bob and Don Cruickshank and sister's Phyllis (Johnson) and Doris (Cybulski). She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1984 and sister Margaret (Forbes) in 1996. Isabel leaes behind many friends and extended family whose lives she truly enriched with her kindness and generosity. A celebration of Isabel's life will be held at Knox Prebyterian Church - 4718 Ross Street, May 31st commencing at 2:30 p.m. with the Reverend Andrew S. Burnand officiating.

DUPUIS, Maurice Daniel
Mr. Maurice Daniel Dupuis of Blackfalds, passed away suddenly on May 27, 2003. Maurice was born October 5, 1937 to Emil and Rosilda Dupuis, at Barrhead, Alberta. At the age of 18 he left the farm to work in Olds, AB. From Olds he moved to Calgary, AB and worked for 20th Century Fox. He went back to the farm to help and in Jan. 1963 he was in a farm accident and was in hospital for 2 years. He had training in fixing machines at N.A.I.T. He worked HJ Kallenas in Edmonton and transferred to Calgary. While in Calgary, Maurice met and married Marilyn Darvill October 6, 1973. Maurice and Marilyn moved to Red Deer in 1975. They moved to Blackfalds in March 1976 where they wanted to raise their family. In Blackfalds Maurice was involved with the Scout movement for 10 years, and he was a volunteer fireman for 22 years. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 30 years, Marilyn, their children Michelle of Calgary and Marc of Blackfalds, his brothers, Leo Paul of Barrhead, Marcel and Norman of Dapp, sister Edna Carnegie (Lyle) of Edmonton and sister-in-law Joan Drumond (Murray) of Brandon and brother-in-law Len Darvill of Comox, BC as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maurice was predeceased by his mother Rosilda (1972), his father Emil (1975), his brothers Arthur (1926), Camille (1989), Laurent (2003), sister Jeanette (1934), his mother-in-law Bessie (1990), brothers-in-law Jack (1992) and Jim (1996) his sisters-in-law Beryl (1992) and Isabel (1995). FLATER, William
Mr. William David (Bill) Flater born December 23, 1975 passed away May 4, 2003 after a brave battle with Leukemia at the University Hospital in Edmonton. Bill was born and raised in Blackfalds later moving to Lacombe where he graduated from Lacombe Composite High School. In 1994, Bill began working at the Lacombe A&W; where he later became the manager. Bill's passions included movies, cliff jumping, wrestling, tennis, golf, hockey, curling, and celebrating any occasions. Bill is survived by his mother Lori(Rod) Park, Father Gary(Barb) Flater, special partner Rachel Goris, siblings Denise (Brittany and Jordan), Krista (Steven), and Kevin (Karri-ann). Half sister Jennifer, Kelsi, and Lindsay. Step siblings Beth, Rory (Tanis), Michael (Cass), and Thomas Park. Grandparents Bill and Ruth Turner, and Raymond Flater. As well as several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. A&W; family and customers and wonderful staff at the University Hospital. He was predeceased by his grandmother Pauline Flater. Bill was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, uncle, partner and FRIEND to all. He will be sadly missed but remembered by all for his unique sense of humor even through his courageous battle with Leukemia. Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 8th from the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, at 2:00 PM.
