Family members in heaven rejoice in her return while those of us that remain here mourn for a Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and her extended family and many friends. Glenora passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 93 in the Lacombe Hospital. She was born in Dilke, Sask. but considered Central Alberta her home. She is survived by her son Ken Dix (Cathy) of Lacombe, daughter Donna Fitzgerald of Austin Texas, and brother Lewis Gardner (Lorraine) of Okotoks AB, Six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A celebration of Grandma Glen’s life will be held from Wilson’s Funeral Chapel, 6120 highway 2A Lacombe on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:00 pm Donations can be made to Lacombe & Community Palliative Care Society Box 5576 Lacombe, Alberta T4L 1X2. ELLEN, Tena
On Sunday, June 24th, Tena Ellen (nee Prins) was called home peacefully, to be with her heavenly father, at the age of 94. Born in Andijk, Netherlands on December 30, 1914, she immigrated with her family to the Edmonton area when she was twelve years old. In 1938 she married the late John Ellen and in 1949 they moved to Lacombe with their family of four girls, where the family grew with the addition of three boys.For many years Tena was an active member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church and volunteered tirelessly both in the church and the community. She also loved to travel and was passionate in her enjoyment of outdoors and camping with her extended family of children and grandchildren. She will be forever remembered by her children Avlyn (Jack) Vandenborn of Edmonton, Joan (Richard) Roeters of Grand Rapids, Jane (Ralph) Bruinsma of Lethbridge, Carol (late Raynold) Nieboer of Edmonton, George (Geri) Ellen of Rochester, Norman (Shelley) Ellen of Calgary and Tim (Moira) Ellen of Lacombe. She is also survived by 1 sister (Dorothy) , 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Tena was predeceased by her husband John in 2001, her son-in-law Raynold (Butch) Nieboer, 1 sister and 5 brothers. A private graveside ceremony will be held on Thursday afternoon followed by a public celebration of Tena’s life at 2:30 p.m. in Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 5636-52 Avenue, Lacombe Alberta.The family would like to thank the staff at Lacombe Nursing Home for the care and attention they provided over the last couple of years of Tena’s life. MAJERECH, Anthony Mark

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Anthony Majerech from a tragic fall doing one of the things he loved, puttering around his farm. He leaves behind his wife Brenda, son Derek (Sheryl) , daughters Trish (Randy) and Joey (Dan) , grandchildren; Bryce, Darby, Dylan, Kayla, Alexina and one on the way, brothers John and Alex, sisters Ann, Therese and Stella. Tony was born on January 31, 1946 in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. He enjoyed a long and prosperous oil industry career for 45 years where he worked overseas and offshore for many years before choosing to primarily work in Northern Alberta to be closer to home. Tony worked diligently up until his stroke, which he courageously conquered his paralysis and was farming as usual with the help of his family. Tony had a passion for farming, fishing and playing cards with all his family and friends. You will always be missed in our hearts and memories, as it is time for you to be with the Lord. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson’’s Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe. BALL, Freda Anna (Blackmore)
Freda was born on June 3, 1911 in Orchard, Antelope County, Nebraska, USA and passed away peacefully on May 19, 2009 in Lacombe, AB. Grandma married John Ball on her birthday in 1931. To this union they welcomed 3 children; Luella, Delmer & Richard. As well as running a mixed farm in the Lakeside Canyon area, Freda was very active in the community. She was a lifetime member of the Lakeside Social Workers, as well as a lifetime member of the Lacombe Handicraft & Lapidary Guild. Freda spent many a summer as a horticultural judge, traveling to different fairs across Alberta. Freda was predeceased by her husband John, her sons Richard & Delmer, her daughter-in-law Gerry and son-in-law Glen. Freda was also predeceased by her 3 brothers; Dale, Gordon & Malcolm Blackmore, sister-in-law Gwen, twin grandsons and a granddaughter Cathy McEachern. Grandma is survived by her daughter Luella Schultz, grandchildren Garnet (Joann) Schultz, Terry (Finn) Jensen, Virginia & Matthew, Derald McEachern, Michael & Brycen, Brad (Debbie) Schultz, Nicole & Brandon, Darla, Danita, Danna & Debbie Ball. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Georgia Blackmore & Lois Blackmore, as well as numerous other relatives. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson’s Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe on Monday, May 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Lee, Larry Walter
It is with sad passing that Larry Walter Lee has left this earth. He went to meet his maker on May 11, 2009 at the young age of 49. This corner of the world will be an emptier place without him. He is survived by his wife Heidi, daughter Samantha, and son Michael. He is also survived by his parents Jim and Cleo Ross of Trochu, brother Darryl Lee of Blackfalds, Tanya and Austin Lee of BC, sister Brenda and John Hoppins, their son Garrett, Rachael and Jessica also of Trochu. His Father in Law Helmut Hirschmann of Penticton B.C. brother in law Ken (Nancy) and Natasha Schultz of Richmond B.C and brother in law, Murray (Cora) Schultz of Richmond B.C. As well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

MUENCH, Constance Jane “Connie”, (nee Ernest)
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our loving Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma and sister on May 11th, 2009. She died peacefully in the Lacombe Hospital at the age of 76. She is survived by her two daughters Debbie (Ian) Orum, Karen (Gord) Mayenburg, her grandchildren Joseph Orum, Gina and Trevor Pylatuik, Sherry and Gary Wilson, Ricky Mayenburg, and Katy Mayenburg and great grandchildren, Dominic and Evie Wilson and Cora Pylatuik, her two brothers Jerry (Mary) Ernest and Sanford Ernest (special friend Shirley Nasby) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leo, her parents Becky and Mike Ernest and a granddaughter, Jacilyn Orum. The family would like to thank the friends, relatives and the people who knew her for their expressions of sympathy and fond memories at this time of our loss. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff in Emergency and on unit A in the Lacombe Hospital and especially Dr.Van Niekerk for the wonderful care you gave to Mom. Tonneson, Glen Eric
Glen passed away after a short illness on May 5, 2009 at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre supported by his loving family. Glen was born at Bassano Alberta on February 19, 1927, the middle child of Larry and Ruth Tonneson. The first 10 years of his life were spent on a farm at Hussar Alberta. After which the family moved to Conrich Alberta and farmed there until 1963 then he and his parents moved to the Clive area. Shortly after moving to Clive he met Sharlene Maurer and they were married in 1965. A year later Noryne arrived followed by Wade two years after that. Glen continued to farm until 1981 when ill health forced him to rent out the land and after that he became an arm chair farmer. Glen enjoyed gardening, reading, watching the Oilers, and playing cards. More recently he enjoyed card and board games with the grandchildren. Glen was predeceased by his parents Larry and Ruth, one sister Eleanor, one brother Curtis, three nephews (Larry, George, and Terry) , and one brother -in-law Leith. Glen is survived by his wife Sharlene, a daughter Noryne and Art and a son Wade and Kinsey all of Clive. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Hunter, Darci, Trey, and Makenna, along with 2 sisters Irene and Nadyne and numerous nieces and nephews. William Wales Edward Anderson
With sadness we announce that William (Bill) Wales Edward Anderson passed away on May 4, 2009. He died peacefully at ninety one years of age. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Frances Anderson of Vancouver, Marge (Mike) Kryzanowski of Spruce Grove, Terry (Alpha) Anderson of New Roads, Louisiana, Charles (Maryanne) Anderson of Calgary; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth of
69 years in December 2008. No funeral service will be held. Mr. Keith “Roy” Wallace of Lacombe passed away at home on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the age of 70 years. Roy is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Wallace of Lacombe, one son Bruce Wallace of Lacombe, two daughters Wanda (Stewart) Gray of B.C., Joyce Wallace of Lacombe. One sister Margaret Ogi (Delmar) of Rocky Mountain House, one brother Richard Wallace of Ontario. He will also be greatly missed by his ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. On April 18, 2009, Mr. Glen Sam Grover of Lacombe, AB. passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years. Glen was born May 10, 1930 in Stettler AB. Glen is survived by his brother Fred (Vera) Riske and ½ siblings Jeffery (Ronnie) Grover, Leslie (Dave) Danpier. Nephew’s Randy (Judy) Riske of Lacombe, AB. James (Carmella) Riske of St. Paul, AB. Niece’’s Kathy (Fred) Harms of Elmworth, AB. Cindy Hanelt of Nanaimo, BC. as well as other family and friends. Glen is predeceased by his parents Charles & Emma Grover ½ sister Islen Cole and sister in law Vera Riske and nephew in law Rob Hanelt. Glen was a long time resident of Lacombe and resided at the Lacombe Seniors Lodge for the last 10 years. During his lifetime Glen worked various government jobs from surveying, logging, to highway maintenance. However his real delight & livelihood was gardening, flowers & landscaping in the horticulture field. He indulged in his passion and with his knowledge in horticulture he worked for years at the Lacombe Nurseries and Iron Wolf’s Par Three Golf course. Glen contributed a great deal to the landscaping and planting that beautifies the town of Lacombe today. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the staff & friends at the Lacombe Foundation’’s Seniors Lodge for their exceptional care and kindness shown to our Uncle Glen. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church Lacombe.
