McTAVISH

(KANTEN) McTAVISH - 1920 - 2007 - Mrs. Iva (Kanten) McTavish of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Iva will be lovingly remembered by her second husband, Gordon McTavish; and her children, Ken (Joan) Kanten; and Deborah (Larry) Kobza, both of Red Deer. She will also be lovingly remembered by two grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Lechelt; and Scott (Angie) Kobza; as well as four great grandchildren. Iva was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Kanten. A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Iva's Life will be held at the Liberty Christian Assembly, 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. A Family Interment Service will take place in the Innisfail Cemetery, Innisfail. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Iva's Memory may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, #101, 5208 - 53 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 5K2. HAMILL

HAMILL - Mr. Bernard Hamill of Penhold, AB, passed away with family by his side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007. His memory will be cherished by Peggy his beloved wife of forty-seven years; his sons, John (Susie), Bernie (Angela) as well as his daughter, Mary (Gerald) Beally. Bernard's memory will be further cherished by his beloved grandchildren: Katie (Will), Matthew, Joey, Jocelyn, Natalie, Mark, Julie and Anna. His sisters, Sr. Mary Hamill, Bella Hamill as well as his sister-in-law Hilda Hamill will miss him dearly. Bernard will also be remembered by his niece, Marie (Tom) Thrall, his nephew, Jim (Charlene) Hamill and extended family. Everyone who enjoyed Bernard's company over a daily coffee will dearly miss him, especially his dear friend Don Cruickshank and his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Madge and Bernard as well as his brothers: Henry, Jim and John. At this time of pain and loss it is comforting to know we will support and love one another, as Bernard so well taught all of us through his example in being a member of such a loving family. Prayers for Bernard Hamill will be recited at the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Those wishing to gather with the family to pay their respects to Bernard Hamill are welcome for a time of visitation following prayers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 - 48A Avenue, RedDeer, AB on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Donald Stein, Celebrant. If friends so desire, Memorial Donations may be directed to the Intensive Care Unit at The Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, P.O. Bag 5030, Red Deer, AB T4N 6R2. In living memory of Bernard, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park, Red Deer County, AB.

MacDONALD

MacDONALD, Donald William MacDonald "Mac" of Alix passed away at home on Friday, August 31, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Donald was born in Frank, Alberta on June 9, 1930. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his seven children and numerous grandchildren; he was known to his grandchildren as "Papa Mac". He was also a trainer of the Red Deer Packers football club and he had a knack for photography. Donald will be missed by his large family and many friends. He will be lovingly remembered by three sons; Tony MacDonald of Cowley, Alberta, Gary MacDonald of Calgary and Darcy (Leah) MacDonald (Robyn and Kayla) of Red Deer, four daughters; Carole Ann Cronley (Nicole and Joanne) of Cowley, Alberta, Shelly MacDonald (Amy, Amanda, Tyler and Brayden) of Alix, Terry MacDonald (Natasha and Alexander) of Red Deer and Anita (Glenn) Rideout (Leticia, Tatanya, Joshua, Mataya) of Sylvan Lake, and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Doug (Judy) MacDonald of Leduc and two sisters; Shirley (Ernie) Toth of Delta, British Columbia and Eva Ann (Dave) Welsh of Burmis, Alberta as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie in 2005 and his sister, Karen. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Donald MacDonald can do so to the Canadian Diabetes Association (#6, 5015 - 48 Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 1S9) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (#101, 5208 - 53 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5K2).

KORPINISKI

KORPINISKI (Undershute) - 1964 - 2007 - Donna passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born on November 8, 1964 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and moved to Red Deer with her family in 1965. She completed her education in Red Deer and graduated from LTCHS before going on to her chosen profession as a Sign Language Interpreter for the deaf. Donna graduated from the Interpreter Training Program at Grant MacEwen College and later taught classes for the same program. She received her BA in Linguistics from the U of A, and was working towards her Masters when she became ill. Donna was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She had a positive attitude and a special talent that made her look for the good in everyone. She was kind, fun loving and adventurous and her job led her to many exciting places and people. She leaves a void in all our lives and we miss her very much. She will be dearly remembered by the two most important people in her life, her sons Robert and Janzen Korpiniski, her mother Darlene Undershute, one brother Daryl Undershute, two sisters Debbie (Darcey) McKay, and Denise Bos as well as two nephews Aaron and Adam Bos and three nieces Stacey (David) McWilliam, Jayme (Andreas) Campbell McKay, and Haley McKay and one very special great niece Katie Campbell McKay all of Red Deer. Donna is also survived by her Grandma Elma Huva of Kelowna B.C. and her children's Grandma Vicky Korpiniski of Red Deer and Kelly, plus many special aunts, uncles, cousins and a large number of wonderful friends, colleagues and former students. Donna was predeceased by her father Dale Undershute, her uncle Bob Undershute, her grandparents Cliff and Lois Undershute and her Grandpa Alex Huva, and her children's Grandpa Paul Korpiniski. A celebration of life will be held in Red Deer at the Royal Canadian Legion at 2810 Bremner Ave. on September 10, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.

OTTO, Enid

OTTO, Enid Nannette Otto passed away peacefully at the Lacombe Continuing Care Centre on August 30, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Enid was born on February 14, 1929 in Lacombe, Alberta. In 1952, she married Melvin Otto. Enid was a very talented. artistic crafts person and rock hound. She enjoyed silversmithing. carving, lapidary and woodworking projects. Enid looked forward to going to Arizona most winters. Her special enjoyment was being with family and friends and doing her crafts. Enid will be sadly missed by her daughter, Judy Frank, son Blaine Otto, daughter-in-law Joy, her four grandchildren, Nicholas Frank, Lindsay (Connor) Winslow, Jamie (J.C.) Gray and Ryan Otto, a great grandson Kadence Gray and one to come. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Jardine of Calgary and Jean O'Neil (Don) of Montana and one brother Dave Jardine (Doris) of Lacombe. Enid was predeceased by her husband Melvin, her parents, William & Pretoria Jardine, sisters Patricia Sharp and husband Donald and Willa Mitchell and husband Gordon. Funeral services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel Lacombe on Saturday September 8th, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lacombe Nursing Home Auxiliary c/o 5430 - 47 Ave. Lacombe, AB T4L 1G8, or the Alzheimer Society of Alberta Box 1134 #104, 4805 - 48th Avenue Red Deer, AB. LADWIG, Fred

LADWIG, Fred - 1942 - 2007 - Frederick Paul Ladwig went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, August 31 at the age of 65 years. Fred was born at Broadview, Saskatchewan to Fred and Margery Ladwig. Fred is survived by his loving wife Sandra, his children Susan Hocken (Dean), his son Fred Jr. (Norma-Jean), his step children Tricia, Barry and Jody Pope and his special and wonderful grandchildren Freddie & Derick Ladwig, Sierra & Hailey Hocken, and Bradley Pope. Fred is also survived by his sisters Jo-Anne (Ken) Wigmore and Jacquie (Ken) Fargey, by his nieces and nephews, Tammi-Jo Wigmore, and Chris (Teresa) Wigmore, Michael, Brooke and Bailee, and by his brothers-in-law George (Pat) Butler and Wayne Doan and cousin Tom Shearer. Fred was predeceased by his parents Fred and Margery and his son William (Billy). Fred has owned and operated Central Alberta Paint & Supply Ltd. (CAPS) and Ladwig's Automotive Ltd. for several decades. Numerous loyal and loving friends will recount memories of their long association with Fred. He will be greatly missed by his many friends at the "Alberta Pattern Dancers" where he danced three evenings a week. Funeral Services will be held at Crossroads Church (southwest corner of 32 Street and Highway 2) on Friday, September 7th at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will follow the service at the Crossroads Church. Family and friends are asked to drive their Hot Rods to the Crossroads Church as a tribute to Fred. ROSGEN, Peter

ROSGEN - Peter Allen Rosgen passed away peacefully on the 31st of August, 2007 after a long battle with brain cancer, at the age of 62. Peter was predeceased by his father Wilfred in 1985. He is survived by his wife Barbara; mother Marie; children Mark (Brandi), Greg (Lynnette), Bradford, Kate and David (Meagen); sisters Lorraine (Bob) Gillis, Sharon (Tom) Seaborn and Dianne (Jack) Lowe; mother of his children Anne Rosgen. Peter also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Braelynn, Rhett and Alexa. A celebration of his life will be held at St Anne of the Prairies, Roman Catholic Church in Trochu, Alberta, Saturday, September 8th, 2007 at 11am, reception to follow at the Trochu Baptist Fellowship Centre. Prayers will be held Friday, September 7th at 7:30pm at St Anne of the Prairies. Memorial tributes in Peter's honor may be made to the Kneehill Ambulance or to Three Hills Palliative Care. RYAN (LOUGHLIN) - 1943 - 2007 - Maureen Fay Ryan, of Lethbridge unexpectedly passed away, with Lisa, Shannon and Therese by her side, at the Foothills General Hospital, Calgary, on Monday, September 3, 2007, at the age of 63 years. Maureen was born on December 20, 1943 at Red Deer, Alberta. She is survived by two daughters and their families, Lisa (Mark) Taggart and their children, Delaney and Sara all of High River, Alberta, Shannon (Billy-Joe) Chrapko and their children, Shawna, Tyler and Mackenzie all of Stirling, Alberta, her mother, Fay Loughlin of Edmonton, a sister Therese (Len) Erickson, six brothers, Dennis (Rosanna) Loughlin, Ted (Terri) Loughlin, Michael Loughlin, Terry Loughlin, Ron Loughlin, Pat (Shasi) Loughlin, sixteen nieces and nephews. Maureen was predeceased by her father, John and a brother, Robert. A Prayer Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820-45 Street, Red Deer on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508-48a Avenue, Red Deer on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta. CRAIG - 1920- 2007 - Margaret Craig born May 5, 1920 in Calgary to Walter and Vera Hoerle, passed away peacefully at Bethany CollegeSide, Red Deer on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Margaret and her family moved to the Delburne area when she was just a child. She resided in the Delburne area until last year, then moved to Bethany CollegeSide when full time care was required. Margaret married Russell Craig in 1939 and lived a very full and long life. She is survived by a daughter, Lorna (Dennis) Wolney of Eckville, five sons, Lloyd (Mary) of Queensland, Australia, Mel (Coral) of Elnora, Alvin (Helen) of Red Deer, Lyle (Ev) and Harvey (Teresa) both of Delburne, twenty grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by a brother, Don (Doris) Hoerle of Calgary, sisters-in-law, Hazel Hoerle of Delburne, Lois (Harold) Craig of Three Hills, Ted (Bev) Huntington of Smithers, British Columbia, Bud (Helen) Deidrich of Dewey, Arizona, Thelma Beagle of Calgary, Jony (Doris) Deeter of Calgary, a daughter-in-law, Carol Craig, Sandy Craig, Kay Simons, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell, a daughter, Grace, two sons, Larry and Ron, a grandson, Mark, four brothers, Herman, George, Art and Mervin, three sisters-in-law, Clara, Elsie and Agnes. A Funeral Service will be held at the Delburne Community Hall, Delburne, Alberta on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at the Delburne Cemetery.
