FURBER, Ruby Janet - Ruby Janet Furber (nee Keith) was born July 10, 1939 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She passed away in Red Deer on December 10th at the age of 65. She was pre-deceased by
her parents, Violet and Gordon Keith of Sylvan Lake. Growing up in Sylvan Lake, Ruby went to the local schools as well as the Composite High School in Red Deer, and then completed her hair dressing licence in Calgary. Ruby moved to Red Deer in 1958 where she worked in the hair dressing industry in Red Deer for many years. She was active in many volunteer organizations including the Royal Purple, a member for 35 years and holding many chairs including District Deputy, Red Deer Museum, Red Deer General Hospital gift store (recently rewarded for length of service), Presbyterian Churches in Red Deer and the Red Deer Blood Donor clinic. Ruby is survived by her husband of 44 years, Stan, daughters Shelly Tupper (Lyle Tupper) and Tina Furber (Jarrad Malley), her brother Monte Keith (Elaine), sister Jean Mactier, identical twin Ruth Horney and brother-in-law Dave Furber (Ada) who will always hold her memory in their hearts. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 16th at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4718 Ross St., Red Deer at 2 p.m., with Rev. Bob Shields officiating. Following the service family and friends are invited to join in fellowship at the luncheon provided by the Peacemakers Quilt Club on the lower level of the church. In lieu of flowers Ruby requested that donations be sent to the Cancer Society of Alberta, 4730A Ross St., Red Deer, T4N 1X2.
HASLAM, Donna
HASLAM, Donna Mae - Donna Mae Haslam (nee Enns) passed away on Saturday December 11, 2004, after a long, courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66 years. Donna was born in Edmonton and raised in Saskatchewan. Donna married William Henry Enns in Vauxhall, Alberta in 1959 at the age of 20 years and they happily raised four children, in Blackfalds together until William (Red) passed away in 1970. Donna was remarried to her loving husband, Monty Haslam, of 26 years. Donna was loved by everyone who knew her. She touched the hearts of many by generous donations and volunteering to help in many aspects. Donna was a warm, kind, intelligent wife, mother, grandmother & friend and will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

Donna went to join the angels & left to mourn her loss, her loving husband Monty Haslam of Rimbey, her sister, Maureen Roy of Winnipeg, Manitoba, her children, David Enns of Rocky Mountain House, Blake & Shannon Enns of Lacombe & Brent Enns of Nordegg, Alberta. Donna also left behind five step-children Debbie Cahoun of McGrath, Alberta, Gary Haslam of Sarnia, Ontario, Jim (Leon) Haslam of Edmonton, Alberta, Ray Haslam of Guelph, Ontario & Linda McArthur of Red Deer, Alberta. She will also be missed deeply by her many grandchildren and her very dear & special friend of many years, Muriel Ferguson of Lacombe. At Donna's request there will be no service or memorial. FARWELL - Mrs. Eileen R. Farwell passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, December 2, 2007. Eileen was born in Calgary, then at a young age moved with her family to Coronation. Residing in Coronation till 1949, when she and her husband and family moved to Red Deer. Eileen leaves to mourn two sons, Richard (Danit) of Boston, Edward (Iris) of Red Deer, a daughter, Patricia of Hawaii, grandchildren, Rhonda (Barry), Lance (Bonnie), three great grandchildren, Amy, Leah and Shaylen, special caregiver and companion, Elga, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex, her parents, Nat and Margaret Lea, two sisters and two brothers. FIDDLER, Robert "Bob" Lloyd - Robert "Bob" Lloyd Fiddler passed away suddenly in Yuma, Arizona on November 28, 2007. He was born in Maidstone, Saskatchewan on January 21, 1941. Bob is survived by his wife Willi; sons Rory and Gregory; his brothers Vern (Noelene) of South Africa, Don of Ottawa, ON, and Larry (Linda) of Medicine Hat, AB as well as sisters Isabelle Timm of Minnesota, Georgine (Jerry) Bamping of Kelowna, BC and Lynette Fiddler, of Vancouver, BC. Bob spent many years serving for the Canadian Armed Forces before retiring and relocating his family to Fort McMurray, AB to work as an engineer for Syncrude. For those wishing to pay their respects, they may do so at the Chapel of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home on December 6, 2007 from 7:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. MEHANEY Kevin - April 26, 1958 - Nov. 30, 2007 - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Kevin Mehaney, who was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident south of Fort McMurray on Friday, November 30, 2007. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Corey and Ryan, their Mom Verna, his Mom and Dad, Bernice and Alphaeus, sisters Flo (Alvin) Boyd, Sandra (Gary) Gale, Myrtle (Walter) Burt, Cynthia (Carl) Burt, and brother Derrick (Vanessa), his mother in-law Hilda Earle, sister in-laws Daphne (Cyril) Ings, Maxine (Don) Wheeler, Vera (Paul) O’Keefe, brother in-laws Glenn and Wayne (Wanda) Earle and many loving cousins, friends, and work buddies. Kevin worked in Fort McMurray for the majority of his career. He dearly loved his family, had a great passion for life, and was an avid car collector. MACKAY - Doris "Dolly" May Mackay, beloved wife of the late Bob Mackay of Innisfail, AB passed away at the Rosefield Care Centre on December 1, 2007 at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her older brother Norman Pennock of Lacombe; her sister in law Betty Pennock of Edmonton; brother in law Derry Mackay of Three Hills; sisters in law Olive Biggs of Red Deer, Annie Krohn of Calgary, Margaret Billenge of England; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. Dolly was predeceased by her husband Bob in 1991; parents Harry and Rhoda Pennock; brother Harry and sister in law May Pennock. PAHL, Leonard Daniel - Leonard Daniel Pahl passed away in Berwyn Alberta on November 29th 2007 at the age of 80 years old. TURNEY Jean Dean - On November 28th, 2007, Mrs. Jean Dean Turney of Mayerthorpe, Alberta passed away at the age of 100 Years.
