April 16, 1919 - September 13, 2007
On September 13, 2007 Mr. Stewart Seward of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully at the age of 88.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Alma, two sons; Stanley (Margaret) and Adrian (Debra), four grandsons; Brett (Kim) , Bradley (Jill) , Cory (Karen) and Craig (Alyson),two great-granddaughters Faith and Kendall, one sister Jean (Robert) Busse as well as many relatives and good friends.
Stewart was predeceased by his brother Gordon.
A celebration of Stewart's life will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park.
A reception will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hilda G. Cox (nee Hegland)
December 2, 1919 - September 14, 2007
On September 14, 2007 Mrs. Hilda G. Cox of Edmonton passed away at the age of 87 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gerald, Dennis (Ann), David (Pat), Phyllis (Jacob) Blum, Shirley (Ron) Parks, Barry (Silvana), Stanley; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Olaf (Dorothy) Hegland and George Hegland; numerous nieces and nephews.
Hilda was predeceased by her husband George; parents, Ole and Marie Hegland; sisters, Anna Hemerle, Mabel Kimmerly, Margaret Johnston; brother, Clifford Hegland; daughter-in-law, Christine Cox.
A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.

Mr. Alexander J. Pacholuk

On Friday, September 14, 2007 Mr. Alexander Pacholuk of Edmonton passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 94 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his five daughters, Elizabeth, Lil (Stan), Cecilia (Eldon), Susan (Gary), Margaret (Larry); nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christina, Pearl; two brothers, Nick, Walter.
Alexander was predeceased by his wife, Annie and son-in-law, Bernie.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.

On September 16, 2007 Mike Smith of Edmonton formerly of Kamloops and Edson passed away peacefully at the age of 68.
He is lovingly remembered by his children; Michael (Kelly), Peter (Debbie) and Dan (Susan), 9 grandchildren; Ryan, Eric, Kelianne, Joseph, Samuel, Moriah, Haylee, Alex and David, his brother Jim (Irene) and his sister Sue, his best friend and companion Maggie as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Mike was predeceased by his parents Michael Austin & Evelyn and grandson Matthew.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Mike's final resting place will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wayne Lewis Shearer
December 12, 1940 - September 16, 2007
On September 16, 2007 Wayne Shearer of Edmonton passed away from complications due to cancer at the age of 66 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his two children; Cheryl (Mike) Redmond and Ian (Jan) Knight, four grandchildren; Desiree and Brittney Redmond, Alicia and Spencer Knight. He is also survived by his sister Cori (Robert) Swizinski, as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his wife Marilyn in 1978, parents, Ralph and Marjorie Shearer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Highlands United Church, 11305-64 Street, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5G 1Z2.
ARTS, Bernardus (Ben)
March 3, 1931 – September 18, 2007
Ben was born on March 3, 1931 in Lithoyen, North Brabant, Netherlands and came to Canada in 1953.
Ben passed away peacefully on September 18, 2007 at the age of 76 after a courageous battle against Mesothelioma (an asbestos related lung cancer).
He is mourned by his loving wife and best friend Louise and daughter Astrid (Stephen Robinson).
His step-family Karen, Arlene, Chris Calkins and Leanne (Doug McKinnon). Grandchildren Amber (Darcy Mercier), Yvonne, Matthew, Crystal, Mario, Haley, Clayton, Larry and Jacquelynn and great grandchild Dante.
He is survived by his brother John and sister Dorothy (Hans Stensen) and numerous other friends and relatives in Canada and the Netherlands. His faithful dog Buddy will miss him (and the cookies) most dearly.
Special thanks to Dr. Wiznura, Dr. Black (who kept his ticker ticking), the Angels at the Mel Miller Hospice at the Edmonton General, the staff at the Grey Nuns Station 43, the “Queens” of Homecare, Darla, Darlene and Harold and all the many friends and neighbors who kept our spirits up with visits and card games (he was a shark to the end).
A prayer service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Clares Catholic Parish, 6310-118 Avenue, Edmonton.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clares. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mel Miller Hospice at the Edmonton General.
BENNETT, Marion Jane
April 5, 1910 - September 17, 2007
Marion lived in this world to the ripe old age of 97 and passed away peacefully to a better place this past Monday.
Left to cherish her memories are her three daughters Joan (Ron) Fry of Chilliwack, BC, Jean (Clayton) Anderson of Edmonton and Norma (Roy) Anderson of St. Albert, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two sisters Norma and Peggy and many other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1978, three sisters and three brothers.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Highlands United Church, 11305 - 64 Street with Reverend John Burrill officiating.
