Mr. Peter Swanson Brown
October 9, 1924 - September 29, 2007

On September 29, 2007, Peter Brown of Sherwood Park passed away at the age of 82.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years Gerry, his six children Chris, Laurie (Doug) Bailey, Kim, Nancy (Iggy Hozjan), Jennifer (Bob) Begon and Brian; 6 grandchildren Michael, Carolyn, Daniel, Jonah, Nicholas and Elena.

Peter is also survived by his special niece Deb (Rob) Kinsey as well as many relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Janet Brown and his sister Mary.

Born in Lloydminster, Alberta Peter served overseas in the RCAF during the second World War.

He attended the University of Alberta and after graduating as a Chemical Engineer, he returned to the RCAF serving as a pilot.

After early retirement from the Air Force, Peter took a position in Public Relations with the Canadian Paint Manufacturers Association in Montreal.

In 1976 he returned to Edmonton as Corporate Communications Manager for the City of Edmonton and later EdTel.

Upon his retirement in 1990 he enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes, and spending time with his family.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 13 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park with Reverend Wilf Murchand celebrant. A reception to follow.

Peter's final resting place will be in the Forest Walk at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.

A private family interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the L'Arche Association of Edmonton, 7708 - 83 Street, Edm. AB T6C 2Y8 or to the charity of one's choice

RADZICK, Jean (nee Sydora)

On Friday, September 28, 2007 Jean Radzick of Edmonton passed away at the age of 91 years.

She leaves to mourn her loss her two daughters, Shirley (Murray) Savage, Florence Matheson; four grandchildren, Kelly, Jamie (Dawn), Deana (Ed), Ecko (Kenny); eight great-grandchildren, Morgan, Mataya, Daemon, Teegan, Kristen, Braden, Solo and Rio; one sister, Mary (Henry) Plyer. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Nick Komarynsky
October 14, 1921 – September 29, 2007

It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of Nick Komarynsky, formerly of Wabamun, Alberta.

Nick was a caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Edna (nee Groves), and their children: Alan (Cheryl) Komarynsky, Maureen (John) McCrady, Kevin (Karen) Komarynsky, Shauna (Terry) Willoughby, Michael (Helen) Komarynsky; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Nick is also survived by his sister Vera Federation and her four sons; his sister in-law Betty Comrie and her three children; several uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends.

Nick was predeceased by his mother, Katarina in Ukraine when he was a young child; brother Emil (Betty) Comrie in 1966; father, John (Iwan) Komarynsky in 1981; and step-mother, Mary (Maria) Komarynsky (nee Stecyk) in 1991.

A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Chapel (16204 Fort Road, Edmonton) on Saturday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. with internment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nick’s memory to the Amyloidosis Foundation, 1-877-AMYLOID. 7151 N. Main St., Suite 208, Clarkston, MI 48346

George Proctor Winchester
November 24, 1924 - October 6, 2007

Mr. George Winchester of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on October 6, 2007, at the age of 82 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of Calgary, a daughter Christine and her husband Craig Frew of Bragg Creek, Gary and his wife Kristin Winchester of Madison, Wisconsin, five grandchildren, R. Scott (Julie) Frew, Stephen Frew and Stacie Frew, Bradley Winchester and Elizabeth Winchester, two great grandchildren Lydia and Angus Frew.

He is also survived by two brothers Allan and Neil and one sister Alice Patton.

He was employed by Calgary Breweries for thirty-six years retiring in 1986.

Funeral Services will be held at Leyden’s Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17th Avenue and 2nd Street SW) on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Arthritis & Autoimmunity Research Centre Foundation 190 Elizabeth Street, 5th Floor, Toronto, ON M5G 2C4.

Arrangements entrusted to LEYDEN’S FUNERAL HOME, RECEPTION AND CREMATION CENTRE, 17th Avenue SW and 2nd Street (304 – 18th Avenue SW).

Mr. William H. Warwick
November 17, 1924 - October 3, 2007

Warwick, William (Billy) Harvey - Sadly Billy passed away on October 3, 2007, due to heart complications. He was predeceased by his son, Richard, three brothers, Claude, Archie and Grant; and five sisters, Embyl, Jean, Isma, Millie and Wilda.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; daughters, Linda and Jeanne; son, Bill Jr., daughter-in-law, Tammy; grand-daughters, Rebecca and Sabrina, brother, Dick and his wife, Pam; brother-in-law, Ritchie and sister-in-law Betsy; nieces, Heather, Judy, Sheryl, Deanna, Lynn and Trudy; and nephews, Ken, Todd, Ted, Claude, Grant, William and Bill.

Billy excelled in sports, loved hockey and boxing, but his true love was his family.

He was loved by all, and will be missed forever.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital for the special love and support they gave Billy.

All are invited to a Celebration of Billy's life at Festival Place in Sherwood Park, 100 Festival Way, on Thursday, October 11 at 11:00 am.

Mrs. Jane Holmes
October 8, 2007

Holmes, Jane - It is with profound sadness that we said goodbye to Jane, on Monday October 8, 2007.

She was taken too soon by a raging battle with cancer which she fought like a true warrior for almost 2 years.

Jane was the cherished wife of Peter Holmes.

The adored mother of Mark, Sarah and Christopher, the treasured sister of Anne Nash and her husband David Roy.

The dear aunt of Tenaya, Sabrina and Marisol, and great-aunt to Sabrina Victoria.

Predeceased by her parents Evelyn and John Diamond and her brother John.

Sadly missed by Uncle George, Adele, Francis and many other family and friends.

Jane dedicated her life to her family and her greatest joy was watching her three beautiful children progress through life under her guiding hand.

Jane was Peter's best friend and the love of his life.

Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy Street) on Wednesday October 10, 2007 between the hours of 6-9 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Church (200 Weller Ave) on Thursday October 11, 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial donations to University Hospital's Kingston Foundation-Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated.

Mrs. Molly Huber nee: Albus
August 8, 1910 - October 7, 2007

On Sunday, October 7, 2007, Molly Huber of Edmonton passed away at the age of 97 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons; Allan (Vivian) and Douglas (Donna), brother Robert, grandchildren; Dena (Mark), David (Diane), Jeffrey (Gail), Dara, and James (Monica), 12 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband John in 1988 and 11 siblings.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at South Side Memorial Chapel (8310-104 Street, Edmonton) with Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Molly may be made to the charity of one's choice.
