DINWOODIE, Dave - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dave Dinwoodie on October 3rd, 2007 at the age of 77.
He is survived by his sons Jim (Deanna) and their children Sherry and Paul; and Brad (Sue) and their son Matt; sisters Jean and Betty, and brother Ian.
He was predeceased by his wife Audrey in 2006, and his sisters Jesse and Ellen. He will be greatly missed by special friends Clarence and Betty Parr along with numerous close friends and family.
A Memorial Service to remember and celebrate Dave’s life will be held on Friday, October 12th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
In lieu of floral tributes, donations in memory of Dave may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta.
Mrs. Rose Hartman
February 19, 1937 - October 9, 2007
On October 9, 2007, Mrs. Rose Hartman of Tofield, Alberta passed away with family by her side at the age of 70. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Arden of 52 years, four children; Glenn (Rosanne), Darrell, Barb (Duane) Wiersma and Alden, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one sister and two brothers as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Rose was predeceased by her grandson Kenneth Hartman.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, south of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. Interment and reception will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
ROBERTSON, Kenneth Bertram
August 27, 1920 - October 9, 2007
It is with great joy we celebrate and give thanks for the life of Ken Robertson. Ken passed away October 9, 2007 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, Wendy (Jim) Chorley, Peggy (Don) Dimma and Kevin Robertson; 10 grandchildren, Brad (Sade), Darren (Cindy), Rob, Adrienne (Jaime), Taera (Neil), Scott (Kirsten), Tricia (Alex), Mike, Dustin, and Brianne; twelve great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton with Reverend Robin King officiating. Cremation has taken place. If desired donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5G 1Z2 or to a charity of one's choice.
Pauline Ann Storey
May 1, 1919 - October 6, 2007
STOREY – Pauline Ann Storey passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 6, 2007. She was born in Lethbridge, AB on May 1st, 1919 and was married to Walter in 1943. She moved to Toronto with her husband, and then on to Saskatoon when he was posted in the Yukon. Walter, who was a carpenter and Pauline built their home on McPherson Avenue, digging the basement with shovels each evening after work. They resided there for 53 years. She did the bookkeeping for Storey Construction and was a great support in the business that her husband owned and operated. She was totally devoted to her husband and family and was proud of her home. Pauline was a meticulous seamstress who passed this love and skill of sewing on to her daughters. She taught them the art and craft of homemaking while nurturing their abilities in careers outside of their homes. Pauline was active in St. Joseph’s Church CWL, St. Joseph’s Home & School Association, and recently in St. Paul’s Cathedral Noon choir. She was a Youth Bowling Council (YBC) coach and was an avid five-pin bowler. She was active until her death, visiting daily with her friends and family. Pauline is survived by daughters Sandra (Wayne) Evans of Monroe, WA, and Cheryl (Bryan) Bock of Saskatoon; by her three grandsons Glenn (Djordjija) Evans of Kirkland WA, Patrick (Nicole) Evans of Redmond WA and Daniel Bock of Saskatoon; by three great-grandchildren Maja, Alexander and Danijela Evans of Kirkland; by sister Anne Keith and brother Steve Handerek both of Lethbridge, AB. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Walter in November 2005; by her parents Paul and Balbina Handerek, sisters Stephanie and Mary, brother Leo and grandson Karl Bock. Vigil for Pauline will be on Thursday, October 11th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Fr. Don Hamel celebrating. Both services will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Cathedral (720 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, SK). Rite of committal of cremated remains will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8) or charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME.
Mrs. Ruby May Wilson

WILSON, Ruby May - On Wednesday, October 10, 2007 Ruby May Wilson of Edmonton passed away with her family at her side at the age of 82 years. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her chldren, Derryl (Audrey), Dayle (Sue), Dwayne (Carolyn), Barbara (Kurt) Ford; grandchildren, Derryk (Illana), Natasha (Jason), Amy (Pat), Drew, Jennifer, Gray; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Ella, Ollie, Jean, Allan, Lynn; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Ruby was predeceased by her grandson, Dean; brother, Ed and in September of 2007 her best friend, Dorothy Hall.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 in Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.

Mrs. Agatha "Agnes" de Gelder
September 20, 1926 - October 8, 2007
On Monday, October 8, 2007, our dear Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully with her family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband, Tom, this past May and is survived by her loving children, Cathy (Derek), Neil (Michelle), John (Ann), Joyce and Judy (Sid), her ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Although she will be deeply missed, we rejoice that she is now with our Heavenly Father.
We extend special thanks to the staff at InterCare Chinook for their dedication and compassion in caring for Mom during the last year and a half of her life.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church (3020 – 51 Street SW, Calgary).
