- Shop now for incredible insights into your wellbeing -WYTSMA - Ted Wytsma passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on June 11, 1997 at the age of 75 years. Ted will be lovingly missed by Joyce, his wife of forty-four years; children, Bob and his wife Lurline, Shelley and her husband Jack Kucheran, Gordon and his wife Sophia; grandchildren, Kathryn, Andrew, Chrissie, Laura, Sarah and Jennifer. He is also survived by his siblings, Boukje and Dee Strate, Dick and Laurene Wytsma, Hilda and Al White; by his nephew and nieces and many other relatives. Ted was predeceased by his parents, Sydney and Dorothy Wytsma, and his nephews, Ron Strate and Ken White. Ted was born May 22, 1922 in Wommels, The Netherlands. The family emigrated to Canada in 1928, settling in Swalwell, Alberta. In 1936 they moved to Red Deer, making it their permanent home. Ted enlisted in the RCAF on December 8, 1941. He served with 118 Squadron in Alaska and 439 Squadron in Europe. He was honourably released on October 20, 1945. Ted worked briefly with the CPR before joining Gulf Oil in 1947. He retired in 1986. Ted was an avid reader with a great interest in steam trains and aviation. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for fifty years. SCOTT - Phylis Bernice Mae (Bernie) Scott of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview General Hospital on September 12, 1997, at the age of 73 years. Phylis is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Norman and Bertha Scott of Ebb & Flow, Manitoba, Stephen and Kathy Scott of Irricana, Alberta; and a daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Doug Berinecutt of Calgary; eight grandchildren, Becky, David, Candy, Karl, Doug, Chelsey, Andrea and Michael. She is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. TURNER - William Campbell Turner, beloved husband of Sandy Turner of Calgary, passed away at his home in Calgary on September 14, 1997, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 55 years. Bill will be sadly missed by his beloved family, his mother Helen of Leduc; his children and grandchildren, Karen, Jack and Eric of Bolton, Ross, Karen and Megan of Calgary and Grant, Loralei, Brittany and Carson of Swan Hills. Bill was predeceased by his father Daniel Turner in 1989. Bill was born and raised in Edmonton where he received his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta. Later, he received his Masters Degree from the University of Calgary. Bill worked as an engineer and a project manager over the past thirty-four years. Bill brought enthusiasm, humour and quick wit to his many and varied projects and activities. Bill cherished his family and friends and will live in our hearts forever. Bill's family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all those who supported him over the years. Mother and mother-in-law of Jane and Christopher Kirby of Kingston, and Margot and Pietro de Meo of Rome. Grandmother of Aileen Lingwood of Victoria, Allan Kirby of Windhoek, Shelagh Kirby-Hart of Oakville, Matthew Kirby of North Vancouver, and Muriel de Meo of Rome. Great-grandmother of Jeffrey, Allan and David Lingwood, Rachel Hart and William Kirby. She will always be remembered with great love and affection by her family and friends. TUTT - "Jack" Henry John passed away quietly at Three Hills District Health Services on Sunday, June 15, 1997 at the age of 74 years. He will be remembered by his loving wife Marlene of forty-six years; and his five children, Brenda, Lynda, John, Roger and Brian; three brothers, Ted, Dick, Tom; and sister Olga; ten grandchildren, one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Dad in 1935, his Mother in 1989, two grandchildren, Lawrence in 1987, and Marlene Evelyn in 1980. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 18 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Three Hills, AB. Interment in Swalwell Cemetery with Town and Country serving lunch. TYESS - Stephen. On October 16, 1997, Mr. Stephen Tyess of Edmonton, formerly of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of fifty-six years, Edna; his son Martin Tyess of Elnora, Alberta; and his daughter Barbara Anne Tyess-Smith (Don) of Edmonton; four grandchildren, Kari Ann Cutler, Tom Tyess, Stacey Smith, Debbie Korsmo (Mark). Stephen is also survived by three brothers and two sisters, Frank Tyess (Dulcie), Joe Tyess and Harry Tyess, Kay Dunstan and Caroline Stubbs (Bill). A Memorial Service will be held at Trillium Chapel of CONNELLY-McKINLEY FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, November 29, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Right Reverend Don MacDonald officiating. DEEPE - Ingeburg (Inge) Deepe of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on August 23, 1997, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Inge was born February 19, 1917 in Oldenburg, Germany and came to Canada in 1953. She had been a resident of Calgary since then and had worked for Dominion Bridge and then Honeywell. Inge was a kind, generous, warm-hearted person and was very fond of her dogs. She will be surely missed by her friends. A Private Service was held on September 15, 1997. SCOPICK - Serainna Marissa Michelle-Lee. Marissa was born April 1, 1997 and passed away suddenly on June 6, 1997 of respiratory problems. Even though Marissa was only with us for a very short time, she will be lovingly remembered by her father Tony and her mother Sharon. Marissa will also be sadly missed by her twin brother Chance as well as numerous other family members. God saw you getting tired, The cure was not to be.
