On Thursday, September 30, 2004 Mr. Nathan Daniel Hnetka of Cold Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 28 years. Nathan is lovingly survived by his wife: Niki of Cold Lake, AB; two sons: Dezil, aged 8 weeks of Cold Lake, AB, Brandin, aged 7 years of Cold Lake, AB; parents: Greg Hnetka of Cold Lake, AB, Wendy Hnetka of Dawson Creek, AB; two brothers: Dane (Christine) Hnetka of Lessard, AB, Jeremy Lob of Vancouver, BC; three sisters: Katina Lindsay of Edmonton, AB, Jenna Hnetka of Vermilion, AB, Andrea Hnetka of Red Deer, AB; grandparents: Wilma Hansen of Fort St. John, BC, Daniel Hnetka of Dawson City, Yukon. Nathan was predeceased by his grandparents: Max & Phyllis Sykes. A Service of Remembrance was held on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cold Lake Agriplex, Cold Lake, AB with Pastor Phil Crump officiating. Honorary Urnbearers were: Ryan Clements, Zak Eiriksson, Clayton Bellamy, Randy Reid, Pascal Jacques, Dennis Strang, Arden Gardipee. Urnbearer was Dane Hnetka. ANDY ROSS LIVINGSTON
On Monday, October 4, 2004 Andy Livingston of Bonnyville passed away at the age of 53 years. Andy is lovingly survived by his wife Judy of Bonnyville; five children: James (Jessica) Livingston and their children: Izzac, Echo, Clay of Cold Lake, Haley (Jon) Reed of Bonnyville, Robert Livingston (Sara) of Bonnyville, Ashley Livingston of Bonnyville, Lin Livingston of Bonnyville; also including: Adam, Dustin, La-Dawn, La-Toyya, La-Lia and special family members: nephew Allen Engelhart, niece Lisa Engelhart; mother: Gwen Fehdrau of Edmonton; five sisters: Gloria Engelhart of Edmonton, Edith (Gary) Reardon of Kelowna, BC, Carol Livingston (Eugene Chabot) of Penticton, BC, Shelley (Daniel) Dudgeon of Edmonton, Brenda (Garwin) Baynes of Edmonton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. Andy was predeceased by his father: Jim Livingston. An open house was held on Saturday, October 9, 2004 between 1-4 p.m. at the Ardmore Community Hall, Ardmore, AB. On Thursday, July 29, 2004 Mr. Richard S. Vinek of Cold Lake, AB passed away at the age of 69 years. Richard is lovingly survived by his wife: Mary of Cold Lake, AB; three sons: Steve (Shannon) Vinek of Cold Lake, AB, Gary Vinek of Courtney, BC, Bob (Jeanette) of Kelowna BC; two daughters: Kathy (Gordon) Rose of Roseburg, OR, Marie (Gary) Hargrove of Ottawa, ON; his mother: Myrtle Cummings of Bengough, SK; two brothers: John (Rose) Vinek of Lloydminster, SK, Wayne Vinek of Saskatchewan; four sisters: Viola (Russell) Hillier of Moose Jaw, SK, Eileen (Bob) Boychuk of Portage la Prairie, MB, Doreen (Wally) Berg of Dawson Creek, BC, Sandra (Terry) Johnson of Calgary, AB; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Amanda, and Laura Rose, Cole and Tyson Vinek, Chad Hargrove; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Richard was predeceased by his father Hans Vinek in 1960. A Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cold Lake Legion, Branch 211, Cold Lake, AB. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cold Lake Legion, Branch 211, Cold Lake, AB with Reverend Darryl Levy officiating. Cremation followed. Pallbearers were: Pappy Theiss, Wayne Johnson, Ed Lawrence, Ken Wychopen, Ed Cantera, Keith Hausauer. JERRY BLANKESTYN
On Thursday, July 29, 2004 Mr. Gerrit "Jerry" Blankestyn of Cold Lake passed away at the age of 70 years. Gerritt is survived by his wife Corielia of Cold Lake, daughter Wendy (Gerald Gamache) Blankestyn of iron river, son Andrew Blankestyn of Cherry Grove, grandchildren Shon Gamache of Bonnyville, Daniel Gamache of Iron River, and Sage Gamache of Iron river, sisters Annie Ravestein of Diemen, Holland and Wyntje Van Os of Heelsum, Holland. Gerrit was predeceased by his parents Adiaan and Wyntje Blankestijn and brother Kees Blankestijn. A funeral service was held on Monday, August 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cherry Grove Community Centre and interment took place at the Cherry grove community Cemetery. BARKLEY JASON BELCOURT
Barkley, Jason Belcourt of Cold Lake, Alberta passed away July 30, 2004 after a valiant fight with cancer at age 35. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, August 7, 2004 from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cherry Grove, AB. Barkley leaves to mourn: his loving mother Lila of Cold Lake, AB; father Len (Linda) of Edmonton, AB; three brothers: Brad (Clare) and their daughter Brooklyn of Calgary, AB; Jeff (Gus) of Camrose, AB, Clint (Stacey) and their daughter Tanner and son Caden of Calgary, AB; one sister Lenna and daughters Marzena and Daisa of Cold Lake, AB; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bark was a rather quiet, private person but has left a lasting memory to all of us who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed and remembered always by his family. BARBARA EMMA LYDIA SHIPCLARK (nee SCHROEDER)
Barbara Emma Lydia was taken to her maker on Thursday, July 29, 2004 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario at the age of 90. Dear mother of Lorraine Bogusat and Karen Webb of Niagara; and Clayton Shipclark of Ardmore, Alberta (near Cold Lake). Grandmother to Brian, Christopher and Shelly Webb; Conrad and Sandra Shipclark. Great-grandmother of Thomas (TJ) and Dakota Webb, and Alex Dubeck. Barbara's family misses her with sadness, but we hold fast to joy in our hearts for her awakening to eternal life in Christ. Mrs. Shipclark was at the NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE CHAPEL of the Morgan Funeral Homes, 415 Regent Street, where her family received friends on Monday, August 2nd from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, August 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 4th at 1; 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2027 Niagara Stone Road (Hwy. 55), Niagara-on-the-Lake. Cremation will be followed by later burial in Ottawa, Ontario, beside her husband, Conrad who predeceased her in 1967. In memory of Barbara, donations may be made to Canadian Lutheran World relief, Upper Canada lodge Auxiliary or charity of choice.
