She was predeceased by her husband Gordon, and is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Jorge) and Noreen (Richard); son Bradford (Faye); granddaughters, Nika, Nadine and Sara; sisters, Louise, Bernice and Tiny; and brothers, Sonny and Freddie. Born in Prince Rupert, BC, on August 19, 1926. Phyllis lived on the prairies for many years and returned to the west coast she loved in 1991. She enjoyed reading, gardening, walking her dog Simmy, spending time with family and crocheting for friends and the needy. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. REPP - James William. Passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice in Calgary on June 14, 1997 at the age of 44 years. Jim will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Pamela; his parents, Bill and Dorothy; his children, Shauna and her husband Chris Bullivant, Dwayne and Krista; his grandchildren, Bryan, Karlie and Victoria Bullivant; his sisters, Marilyn, Diane (Brian), Gail (Rick), Sherry and Gloria (Mike); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by his in-laws, Roberta and Roy Nichol, and Arlo and Frances Wills; his sister-in-law Wendy Walker; and his brothers-in-law, George Fleet, and Doug and Greg Wills. Jim was predeceased by his first wife Gail Repp, and baby Alyssa. He was a long-time employee of Shell Canada Resources, and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S FUNERAL HOMES, Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., on Wednesday, June 18, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Neil Muth officiating. Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Agape Manor Hospice for the care and kindness given to Jim and his family at this time. REWCASTLE - Bryana Dawn Rewcastle, beloved daughter of Don and Elaine Rewcastle of Calgary, and sister to Kyle, passed away tragically on Sunday, July 20, 1997 at the age of 16 years. Bryana was born in Winnipeg, MB on April 23, 1981. She attended Southwood Elementary, Elboya Junior High and completed Grade Ten in Western Canada High School in Calgary. Bryana's enthusiasm for life exuded through her love of music, sports and academics. She played the violin and viola for the Suzuki Music Institute and as well was a member of the Mount Royal Intermediate Orchestra. She also played trumpet and french horn in her junior high school band. Sports always played an important part of her life, this was displayed through her participation in baseball, the Foothills Soccer Association, her love of snow boarding and enjoying the outdoors. A special place in her heart was her cabin in Manitoba. Receiving higher education played a very important part in her life, this was evidenced by her academic achievements in school, often reaching the Honor Role. This was also displayed by her recent enrollment in summer school to obtain advanced courses. The new-found responsibility of a part-time job at Sport Chek meant a great deal to Bryana in reaching out for her independence. It was an opportunity for her to demonstrate skills she developed in the Junior Achievement Program. Bryana will always be lovingly remembered by her family and friends, because of her enthusiasm and spirit in life. Besides her loving parents, Bryana is survived by her brother Kyle, to whom she was devoted; her grandfather Ross Baker of Winnipeg, MB; her grandmother Sarah Rewcastle of Winnipeg, MB; her uncles and aunts, Bob and Myrna Baker, Ted and Lynne Rewcastle and Bill Baker; as well as by her cousins, Naomi Baker, Kristen and Jennifer Rewcastle. Bryana is predeceased by her grandmother Agnes Baker, and grandfather Ed Rewcastle. REYES - Ramon Capili Reyes, beloved husband of Mrs. Flordeliza Reyes, of Calgary, passed away July 11, 1997 after a difficult battle with cancer. As well as his wife Flora, he is survived by their daughters, Rizalyn and Rowena; his brother Angelito Reyes; his sister Corazon Tadiar; and numerous friends and other relatives who will all miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his father Alfredo Reyes, his mother Epigenia Reyes, and his sister Christina Aquirre. Ramon was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. He came to Canada in 1979 and has worked for Lucerne Foods for the entire time he has resided here. QUANTZ - Mr. William Edwin Quantz passed away peacefully on December 18, 1997. William was born in Daysland, Alberta on July 29, 1906. He grew up in various places in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario, finally settling in Innisfail, where he married Florence Green in 1938. William and Florence moved to Calgary in 1943 where he worked as an auto mechanic at various places, finally at Calgary Motor Products where he worked for twenty-two years. William was very active in the Nazarene Church since he was married. Upon moving to Calgary, he faithfully served First Church of the Nazarene as custodian and usher, and was always on call to fix anything that needed repairing. William leaves his wife of fifty-nine and a half years, Florence; sons, Gordon and Dale Quantz, both of Calgary; daughter and son-in-law, Lora Lee and Kevin Black of Mississauga, Ontario; daughter-in-law Elsie Quantz of Lethbridge; son-in-law Alfons Sage of Calgary; as well as nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two nieces. William was predeceased by a daughter Althea Sage, son Glen Quantz, daughter-in-law Melina Quantz, grandson John Quantz, sister Minnie Paxton and brother Albert Quantz. TIMMINS - Gordon A., passed away in Marin County, California, on November 14, 1997 at the age of 63 years after a year-long battle with cancer. Gordon was born in Lethbridge and moved to Calgary as a child. He was educated in Calgary and was accredited as a chartered accountant in 1959. He was employed by Price Waterhouse and Co. in their New York, Venezuela and Miami offices. He moved to San Francisco in 1964 and began his twenty-seven year career with the legal firm of Bancroft and McAlister in 1969 as a C.P.A. Besides his wife Carolyn, Gordon is survived by his brother Robert (Greta), four nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his sister Peggy Mottishaw (Roy) in 1980 (12/10/1997).
TJOSTHEIM - David "T.J." Tjostheim, beloved husband of Mary Rogers of Nobleford-Barons area and formerly of Nampa, AB, passed away suddenly as the result of an industrial accident on Saturday, October 4, 1997 at the age of 58 years. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his family, Gaylene and Rollie von Stackelberg of Calgary, Frances and Dean Walker of Calgary, Sandra and Terry Miller of Edmonton, Colleen Tjostheim and Keith Brillon of Calgary, Ken Rogers and Rhonda Kemble of Lethbridge, and Jennifer and Jeff Phillips of Nobleford; as well as four grandchildren, Candace and Nicole vonStackelberg, and Bradley and Miranda Miller. He is also survived by his parents, Erling and Violet Tjostheim of Penticton, B.C.; his sister Helen Brownlee of Red Deer; four brothers, Ed and Shirley Tjostheim of Sherwood Park, Eric Tjostheim and Elaine Matthews of Nampa, Ralph and Beth Tjostheim of Rocky Mountain House, Steve Tjostheim of Wetaskiwin; and by special friends, Dick and Olive Metz and family; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Robert in 1990. Born on December 2, 1938 in Lac Magloire, Alberta. Dave was raised and educated in Nampa, AB. At the age of fifteen, he started in the trucking industry, delivering fuel for drilling rigs. For the next forty-three years Dave was associated in many aspects of the trucking, road construction and farming industries. He has seen most of Western Canada and the U.S. and can relate to his favorite song "I've been everywhere, man". Dave coached hockey and girls softball and was an avid curler. His passion was his horses. Dave will be sadly missed by his family, and many friends and associates.
