HARBRIDGE - Mr. Elmer Harbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Penny Harbridge of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on July 8, 1997, at the age of 75 years. Besides his loving wife, Elmer is survived by one brother Donald (Doris) Harbridge of Edmonton, AB. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. HARDY - It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony Guy Hardy on October 17, 1997 at the Glenmore Park Auxiliary Hospital, at the age of 53 years. We take comfort in knowing that Guy is at peace now and free of earthly restraints. Guy will be missed and remembered by his wife Marjorie and son Tom; as well as by his parents, Bob and Bunty Hardy; and his sister Judith Mudie and family, all of Cotgrave, England. Also missing Guy will be his many golfing and rugby friends, business associates and clients. SUCHLA - William Suchla quietly passed away with his family by his side on December 4, 1997 at the Foothills Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1904 in Fried, North Dakota and moved to Gull Lake, Saskatchewan in 1906 where he farmed with his family. After marrying Daisy Norquay in 1934, he moved to Alberta. He worked as a mechanic and radio technician until his retirement to Calgary. William was predeceased by his son Andrew in 1990 and by his wife Daisy in 1992. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children, daughter Wilma Poag; daughter-in-law Lil Suchla; daughter Pauline Russell (Don); son William Jr. (Marlene); daughter Ellen (Gordon) Orlesky. Also survived by his grandchildren, Jim, Lori, Kathy, Val, Rhonda, Sheila, Donna, Gord and Mike, and by his fourteen great-grandchildren. SUDDARDS - Vera Alice (nee Mills) of Calgary, formerly of Victoria, Edmonton, and Athabasca, passed away July 6, 1997 in the company of her family at the age of 83 at the Rockyview General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-seven years, Brian Stanley Suddards, with whom she was an active member of All Saints Anglican Church in Victoria for many years. She will be remembered by her family and friends as one who lived her life with courage, vitality and spirit; and who treasured her family above all else. She will be sadly missed by her children, David and his wife Gail, Elizabeth Krill, Jack and his wife Marge, Margaret, Brian, Sylvia and her husband Dennis Davydiuk, and Carol; grandchildren, Greg and his wife Belinda, Brad Krill and his wife Donnie, Karen Wallace and her husband Peter, Laurie Andrews and her husband Wayne, Allan, Mark Krill, Christina Garvin and her husband Tom, Aaron, Danny and Mathew Davydiuk; great-granddaughters, Danica, Kylie, Brittny, Alexa and Sydney; and an infant great-great-grandson Braydon. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 1802 - 33 Avenue S.W., at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 1997, Father Michael Birch presiding. The family wishes to thank the staff at S.A.R.G.C. and Unit 73 at the Rockyview Hospital who supported Vera and her family throughout her illness. HALVORSEN - Hilmar K. Halvorsen, beloved husband of Mrs. Olga Halvorsen of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on October 30, 1997 at the age of 75 years. Hilmar worked for the Saskatchewan Department of Highways for thirty years before retiring to Calgary. Besides his loving wife Olga, Hilmar is survived by one son Stephen and his fiancee Valentina and her son Dimitri of Regina; and one daughter Charlene Halvorsen of Calgary. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, Berta Buckingham, Agnes King, Harold, Ole, Sid and his wife Beryl, Audrey and her husband Jim Furnald and their families. Hilmar was predeceased by his son Frank, two sisters and his parents. HAMILTON - Gladys Margaret Hamilton, (nee Stephenson) of Calgary, passed away peacefully at her daughter's residence on September 4, 1997, at the age of 67 years. Gladys was born in Calgary on August 16, 1930, was raised in the Rosedale Community and attended Crescent Heights High School. Gladys volunteered her time and knitting skills for a variety of associations in Calgary. She is the loving mother of two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Diane Hamilton, and Keith and Jane Hamilton; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Greg McCarthy, all of Calgary; seven grandchildren, Autumn, Amanda, Kyla, Colin, Amanda, Ashley and Erika. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Caren Stephenson of Nelson, British Columbia; as well as special friends, Martin, David, Roy and William. Gladys is predeceased by her husband Duncan and her brothers, Ken and Ben.
