- Shop now for incredible insights into your wellbeing -RUPP - Anna Marie Rupp (nee Hartung) went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 12, 1997 at the age of 95 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Emma (Fred) Hildebrandt and Ella (Ian) Walker; her daughter-in-law Gloria Rupp; six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband David in1982, her son Alfred in 1995, her grandson Dale in 1996, as well as her sister and six brothers. Anna was born in Brunnental, Russia in 1902 and she immigrated to Canada with her family in1923. She and her husband farmed at Champion until their retirement in 1948. O think! RURAK - Mr. Fred Rurak, beloved husband of Mrs. Anne Rurak of Calgary, died suddenly on Sunday, December 7, 1997 at the age of 71 years. Fred was born on February 2, 1926 at Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and later with his young family moved to Calgary in 1967. He is also survived by two sons and their wives; a daughter and her husband; as well as five grandchildren and two sisters. Fred will be dearly missed by all. MOHR - Mary Elvina Mohr passed away in the Fort Macleod Hospital after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Granum on May 30, 1921. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-four years, Egerton Mohr; mother of Gay (Neal) Russell and Jean (Henry) Mushet; and grandmother of Lorne, Brett, Jill, Ryan, Brad and Jana, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her sisters, Madeline Gray, Lauretta (Gerald) Thompson and Gwen Daley; and a brother Wallace (Melva) Daley. The Interment will be held at the Archmount Cemetery in Lethbridge on Tuesday, July 8, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. and the Funeral Service will be held at the Granum United Church on Tuesday, July 8, 1997 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. CHARLEBOIS - Raymond George Charlebois of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Monday, December 8, 1997 at the age of 60 years. Ray was born on March 28, 1937 in Marcelin, Saskatchewan. He left Saskatchewan for the good life in Alberta in 1954. He worked in the oil fields in Edmonton for a few years. On April 8, 1961 Ray married Ileen Shattuck and they moved to Calgary. He worked at the Petrogas Processing Plant at Balzac for several years. He then worked in Iran for three years with the National Iranian Oil Company. In 1970, Ray and his family returned to Calgary and he worked for Delta Projects and Western Decalta. In 1976 Ray bought a small farm in Lone Rock, Saskatchewan. He farmed for three summers, returning to Calgary for the winters. Ray retired from Pembina Resources of Calgary in 1986. He spent the last several years enjoying his free time. His granddaughter Chantelle was a vital part of his life and he spent many hours with her sharing his love of fishing and gardening. Ray also dedicated many hours to the Mount Pleasant Community Association. He served as Honourary Coach of the Hitman Hockey Team of the community. Ray was an enthusiastic supporter of the Calgary Mustang Hockey Club (HNA). Ray will be greatly missed by his three sons, Mark (Sandi Soop), Brent (Shannon Hardie) and Kelley (Karen Thomas); his granddaughter Chantelle; and by Ileen Shattuck; his mother Millie Charlebois; Ray's brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Josephine of Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Bob and Anne of Edmonton, and Laurence and Doreen of Edmonton; as well as many other relatives and numerous friends. The family thanks the staff of the CICU/103A Unit at the Foothills Hospital for their outstanding efforts and compassion. MONSEES - Mrs. Audrey Monsees, (nee Glauser) of Calgary, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, December 11, 1997, at the age of 83 years. Audrey will always be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor. Audrey is survived by a daughter Eileen and her husband Denis Turgeon; and two sons, Ben and his wife Connie Monsees, all of Calgary, and Cy and his wife Ruth Monsees of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; four grandchildren, Cory, Mark, Shauna, and MacKenzie; and a great-grandson Justin (J.R.). She is also survived by two sisters, Toni Griffiths of Smithers, B.C., and Eileen and her husband Jim Harris of Lake Isabella, California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Ora, and her brothers, Cyril, Elden, Gerald and Harold. FISHER - Passed away at the Pincher Creek Hospital on Saturday, December 6, 1997, Laura Ione Fisher, at the age of 76 years, beloved wife of Mr. Arthur Fisher of Pincher Creek, Alberta. Laura Ione was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on April 27, 1921. She married Art Fisher on August 22, 1942, and they raised seven children, Ron and Karen, Vonda and Guy, Gary and Diane, Bob and Judy, Brenda and Don, Rhonda and Pete, and Darcy and Karin. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Jack. Laura Ione had a deep appreciation for life, and a strong love for her family. She touched numerous people over her many years and she taught school from 1961 to 1986. She will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her. Laura Ione was predeceased by her parents and one brother Bill. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Pincher Creek, on Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at 3:00 p.m., Fr. Bob Dielessen officiating. Cremation. FITZGERALD - With grace, faith and dignity, surrounded by his loving family and in his own home, Armond John ended his time on earth on Tuesday, June 24, 1997. Armond is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of forty-four years, and his seven children, Michelle (Ralf Kuntzemann), Maureen (Richard Hindmarch), Sharon (Dr. Curtis Rytz), Sean (Lesley nee Luft), Suzanne (Jacob Reichbart), Patricia (Dr. Shaun Murphy), and Jennifer. He is also survived by his brother Dr. Desmond FitzGerald (Evelyn) of San Francisco, Gerald of London, ON. and Terrance or Orillia, ON. Armond also leaves ten grandchildren. Armond was born at the home of his parents, John and Gertrude, of Toronto, ON, on Boxing Day, 1927. He attended St. Michael's College (high school) and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with honours from the University of Toronto. Armond was a natural leader with a deep respect for the people with whom he worked. With quick wit, warmth and a sense of humour, he enjoyed a career of significant responsibility. After thirty-five years, he retired in 1986 as Vice President and General Manager of Carling O'Keefe Breweries in Calgary. Armond served as Director of Alberta Brewers Agents Ltd. from 1965 to 1986 and was President for seven terms. Throughout his life Armond focused his abilities on helping the community. He was Chairman of the Board of CareWest, and was a longtime Board member of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary. Most recently he devoted his time to the Calgary Residential Services Society. Armond raised his son and six daughters with infinite patience, unfailing generosity and unconditional love. He always taught by his own example, and his lessons were to appreciate the dignity of every person, to contribute to those in need and to understand the human predicament with humour. Armond's Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at St. James' Catholic Church (5504 - 20 Street S.W.), on Friday, June 27, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. A. Wayne Poile, Most Rev. Paul O'Byrne and Rev. CHARLTON - Mrs. Mildren Pearl Charlton of Calgary, formerly of Brockville, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the Glenmore Auxiliary Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 1997, at the age of 95 years. She is the loving mother of Gloria Neal of Calgary, and beloved grandmother of Robert. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Harold on May 24, 1968.
