She was predeceased by her husband Hugh in 1993, and by a son Don in 1978. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Edie and Dick Olsen of Calgary; a sister Phyllis (Lorne) Temple of Brandon, Manitoba; and two brothers-in-law, Bill (Muriel) Wallace of Calgary, and Herb (Elsie) Wallace of Powell River, B.C. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Donna, Christina, Tami, Liza, Garth, Shelley, Vicki and Nancy; as well as three great-grandchildren. Elsie was a longtime member of Rosedale United Church and sang in the choir there for forty-seven years. Funeral Services will be held at Rosedale United Church, 1317 - 1 Street N.W., on Friday, December 19, 1997 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bob Simms officiating. WALLACE -- Mr. George Wallace of 1133 Hastings Street, Moose Jaw, passed away Sunday, December 14, 1997 at the age of 91 years. Born July 31, 1906 in Melancthon Township, Ontario, he came West in 1923 and settled in Regina where he met and married Evelyn Wilson. The couple were married in 1929 and celebrated sixty-six years together. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn in September 1995. George was a member of the Moose Jaw Lions Club, the Elks Lodge and was an Honorary Life Member of the Sergeants Mess at CFB Moose Jaw. He is survived by his three daughters, Grace Knoll, Sarnia, Marianne (Bev) Friis, London, Ontario, and Darla Wallace, Calgary; three grandchildren, Kim Edwards, Calgary, Kerry Friis, London, Ontario, and Dean Rudichuk, Calgary; as well as four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the W.J. JONES and SON Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw, Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Dr. Donald Laing will officiate. BEAGLE -- Bernice E. passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 1997 at the age of 76. She is survived and missed by Stuart, her husband of fifty-seven years; children, Robert (Jackie) of Mossleigh, Alta., Gary (Barbara), and Shirley of Calgary; her six grandchildren, Rob and Janice; Stephen, Ryan and Curtis; and Joshua Beagle; her brothers, Len (Laura) and Alvin Stevens of High River, Alta.; and her sister Helen (Hank) Frank of Havre, Mont.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernice was born in High River on October 29, 1921 to Chauncey and Grace Stevens and raised on their farm near Dinton. In 1940, she married Stu and they farmed the majority of the time in the Herronton-Mossleigh area, moving to Calgary in 1973. For over twenty-five years, until restricted by ill health, Bernice and Stu enjoyed many active retired years, golfing, fishing, travelling and wintering in Southern California. BERCARU -- Mrs. Anastasia Bercaru passed away peacefully at the Beverly Centre on December 16, 1997 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Sabrina, Roxana (Danny); her son Dean (Rodica) Phillip; as well as niece Vicky of Florida, U.S.A.; and other relatives in Romania. Anastasia had great love for children, passion for blooming flowers, and care for all creatures great or small. She was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother for all her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. CAMPBELL -- As the early morning stars extinguished on December 14, 1997, with the comfort of her daughter at her side, Suzanne (Susan) Gay Campbell was called to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Suzanne was born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan, on December 8, 1952, and moved to Calgary at an early age where she completed her schooling. At the time of her passing, she resided in Logan Lake, B.C. Suzanne leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Kamma Justina Nielsen (Ralph Rutschmann) and her best friend Brian Osadchuk. Suzanne will be dearly missed by her two sisters, Joan Maier of Regina, Saskatchewan and Denise Campbell (Garnet Tetz) of Lacombe, Alberta; and a brother Andrew Campbell (Betsy) of Calgary, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Suzanne was predeceased by her brothers, Laurie Gene and David Wayne, and her parents, Sylvia and Stewart Campbell. CAMPBELL -- Susanne Margaret Campbell of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 1997 at the age of 43 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Malcolm; and their children, Logan, Andrew and Jennifer; her parents, Gladys Ferrier and Norman (Bev) Ferrier of Calgary; her brothers, Mark and Kent of Calgary; and sister Laura of Phoenix, Arizona; as well as a large extended family and many friends. GUIDOLIN -- Anna Wilhelmina Guidolin, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on December 16, 1997 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Anna was born in Drumheller, Alberta on October 4, 1916, being the oldest of eleven children born to William and Antoinette Guterson. She graduated from the Holy Cross School of Nursing in Calgary in 1937 and returned to Drumheller to a long and dedicated career in a profession she loved. She married Irmo (Moon) Guidolin in Drumheller on September 9, 1941 and after a brief stay in Calgary, they returned to Drumheller to make their home. She leaves to mourn, her sons, Frank (Shirley), Victor (Wendy); her cherished grandchildren, Michael (Cheryl), Andrea, Susanne, Christine (Sean) Guidolin-MacLeod, Patricia, Mark, Paige, all of Calgary; also her sisters, Nettie (Ted) Gerein, Frances Jacobson; brother George Guterson of Calgary; sisters, Dolly (Jim) Patterson, Spokane, Washington, and Mary (Lee) Campbell of High River. She was predeceased by her husband Irmo in November, 1984, son John in November, 1997, two brothers and three sisters. HUNTER -- Olga Johanna (Olson) Hunter went peacefully to meet her Lord Jesus Christ at the Hillcrest Extendicare on December 16, 1997 at the age of 94. Olga was born on June 12, 1903 on a farm just outside the town of Hanley, Saskatchewan. Olga taught school for five years before marrying Wilbur Hunter. They farmed in the Hanley district until Wilbur's death in 1961. Olga then moved to Outlook and to Calgary in 1975. She was a resident of Glenmore Manor for seventeen years and moved into Hillcrest Extendicare in September of 1997. Left to mourn her loss are four sons, Alan (Betty) of Hanley, Sask., Lyle, (Marilyn) of Bottineau, N.D., Larry (Dagne) of San Diego, Cal., Rae (Julene) of Salmon Arm, B.C.; four daughters, Arlie Hunter of Calgary, AB, Verna (Oliver) Pederson of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Elva (Lionel) Hopkins and Lois (Frank) Buhler, both of Calgary; twenty-eight grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren; one brother Oscar Olson of Outlook, SK; one sister-in-law Alice (Hunter) Drake of San Diego, Cal.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Gertrude Olson, an infant son, her husband Wilbur, and her sister Olina Rawling. Her family will always cherish the memory of a precious mother and an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. A Memorial Service will be held at First Alliance Church, 1201 Glenmore Tr. IVERACH -- Olive Forsyth Iverach (Ellis) passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Tuesday, December 16, 1997 at the age of 67 years, following a brief illness. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend Garth of forty-one years of Calgary; as well as two daughters, Pat Iverach and son Myles, and Lisa (David) Coward and children, Douglas and Jamie, all of Sherwood Park, Alberta. Olive will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. LUNN -- Millisa Elizabeth Lunn passed away at the Southwood Nursing Home on December 16, 1997 at the age of 84 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Mary Lou (Norman) Scott of Calgary, and Jo Anne (Ray) Perell of Fort Langley, B.C.; five grandchildren, Dale, Glen, James, Craig and Sue; and two great-grandchildren. Millisa is also survived by her sister Eve Stokes of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1979 and her sister Dorothy.
