ROUGHSEDGE - Marjorie Leah (nee Morrill) passed away on October 1, 1997 at the age of 85. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Lee Tymchuk, son-in-law John, grandchildren, Lydia, Michael and Jason; and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on October 11, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Library, 1221 - 2 Street S.W. Parking at Impark on 12 Avenue and 2 Street S.W. Memorial tributes may be sent to the Alberta Wilderness Association, Calgary. In living memory of Marjorie, who loved the natural world, a tree will be planted by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes (10/9/1997).

ROUTHIER - Martin Joseph Routhier of Calgary, passed away suddenly October 24, 1997 at the age of 48 years. He is survived by his mother Margaret Routhier of Alexandria, Ontario; his brothers and sisters, Betty Coleman (Blaine) of Edmonton, Allan Routhier of Whitehorse, Yukon, Mary Gagnon (Michael) of Nepean, Ont., and Don Routhier (Roberta) of Williamstown, Ont.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Martin was born and raised in the Alexandria area on the family farm. After completing High School, he moved to Calgary in 1972 and worked for Petro Canada Tanker Division for nineteen years. He will be fondly remembered by his family and close friends. Memorial Services will be held in Lochiel, Ontario. Cremation and arrangements in care of PIERSON'S FUNERAL SERVICE. (10/29/1997).

ROWE - Dan Rowe of Calgary, AB, passed away on November 13, 1997 at the age of 42 years. He is survived by his loving daughter Sara and his son David; as well as many, many family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley United Church, 1315 - 7 Street S.W., Calgary, AB on Tuesday, November 18, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom McLaughlin officiating. Arrangements and Cremation entrusted to PERSONAL ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL SERVICES, 7016 Farrell Road S.E. (11/16/1997).

SCOPICK - Serainna Marissa Michelle-Lee. Marissa was born April 1, 1997 and passed away suddenly on June 6, 1997 of respiratory problems. Even though Marissa was only with us for a very short time, she will be lovingly remembered by her father Tony and her mother Sharon. Marissa will also be sadly missed by her twin brother Chance as well as numerous other family members. God saw you getting tired, The cure was not to be. So He closed His arms around you And whispered "Come with Me". You suffered much in silence Your spirit did not bend. You faced your pain with courage Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us Your fight was all in vain God took you to His loving home And freed you from all pain. Funeral Service will be held on Monday for immediate family only (6/8/1997).

SCOTT - James Edward Scott, of Calgary, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre on June 11, 1997 at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his loving daughter Mary (Henry) Schaap of Calgary; son-in-law Ray Kerr of Surrey, BC; four granddaughters, Heather, Joanne, Deanna and Tracy; and two great-grandchildren, Claire and Robert. Jim is also survived by his brother, sisters, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Myrtle and his daughter Doreen Kerr. Jim was born in Antler, NWT in 1904. He moved to Red Deer as a child. Jim married Myrtle Albert in Red Deer in 1929, then they moved to Calgary in 1934 where he resided till his passing. Jim worked for Canadian Pacific Railway for forty-seven years, till his retirement. He spent his winters in Arizona for fifteen years, with his wife Myrtle. Jim had resided in the Bethany Care Centre for the last seven years. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, June 17, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Calgary (1920 - 11 Street S.E., Calgary, AB, T2G 3G2). Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME, 17 Avenue S.E. at Garden Road (3 km East of 68 Street S.E.), located within Mountain View Memorial Gardens. (6/16/1997).

DARROCH - Mary Phyllis Darroch, beloved wife of Mr. Hector Darroch, passed away at her Cochrane Farm Residence on Saturday, December 27, 1997 at the age of 61 years. Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew's United Church (128 - 1 Street) Cochrane, Alberta on Tuesday, December 30, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements in care of COCHRANE FUNERAL SERVICES, Cochrane, Alberta. (12/28/1997).

DAVEY - Albert (Al) George Davey passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 1997 at the age of 85 years, after a courageous battle against heart and lung disease. Al was born in 1912 in Cornucopia, Alberta. As a youngster he lived in the Crow's Nest Pass area and the Drumheller Valley. He became a Calgarian in 1940. Al served four years in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans Association. He was active with the Boy Scouts of Canada as a Rover Leader with the 18th Scout Troop for many years. He was also a supporter of the Calgary Boys and Girls Band. Al was an early entrepreneur in the city and owned the Alberta Paint and Autobody until his retirement at the age of 70 years. He will be joyfully remembered by his friends and family for his wonderful sense of humour, his positive attitude and his never ending wit. We know the Lord as welcomed him. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Margaret (Grace) Davey; his devoted children, Jack and Marsha Davey and Sandra and Neil Smith; his sister Emma Mills; as well as his four granddaughters, Jennifer, Krista, Nicole and Jillian. Al is predeceased by his parents, George and Agnes and sisters, Betty and Agnes. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS and HOLLOWAY'S "Fish Creek Chapel", (14441 Bannister Road S.E.), today, December 23, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Alan Schooley of Southwood United Church officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Louie and the nursing staff of Unit 47 at the Rockyview General Hospital and the Calgary Health Services Home Care Staff for their care and support. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Al's memory directly the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary Alberta T2G 3Y6 or to the Alberta Lung Association, 302, 609 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta T2N 2A1. In living memory of Albert Davey, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS and HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES. (12/23/1997).

DAVIDSON - Howard passed away June 13, 1997 after an extended stay at the Calgary General Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre. He will be greatly missed by his sister Jessie; nephew Daryl; and nieces, Bertie, Jude, Mitzi, Janice and Barb. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Helen Tse, surgeons, specialists, nurses and caregivers that gave this special man above reproach care. At his request a private family Service will be held. Arrangements and Cremation in care of HERITAGE FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICES "Calgary Crematorium Chapel". (6/14/1997).
