Besides his loving wife, Reg is also survived by his children, Bobby (Jim) Dickson, Keith (Bev) Hall, Mona (Walter) Giesbrecht, Doug Hall, Claire (Carl) Burbridge, Gerry (Bonnie) Dreger, Rick (Marie) Dreger, Don (Irene) Dreger, Doreen (Al) St. Martin; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Bouskill, June Fitzsimmonds; and brothers, Ray (Bertha) Hall, Ken (June) Hall. Reg is predeceased by his sons, Dean Hall and Ron Dreger, and brother Keith Hall. Reg will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A private Memorial Service will be held at the Moose Lodge. OLSON - Frank of Calgary, passed away September 4, 1997 at the age of 57 years. He is survived by his daughter Lee-Anne (Wayne Vincent), of Stroud, Ont., sisters Helen Eskdale, Lucille Clark, Jean (John) Wagner, all of Weyburn, SK, Vic (Shirley) Olson, Herb (Marilyn) Olson, all of Calgary, and Walter Olson of Regina. Frank is predeceased by his parents, two brother, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Memorial services will be held at Trinity Lutheran church at Torquay, SK on Saturday, September 13, 1997 at 2 pm (9/12/1997).
MCDONALD - Mr. L.D. (Doug) McDonald, beloved husband of Mrs. Shirley McDonald of Cochrane and formerly of Leduc, Alta., passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice in Calgary on Wednesday, October 29, 1997 at the age of 71 years. Doug was employed with Texaco Canada (Imperial Oil) for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1990. He then had a private consulting business in the pipeline construction industry until his passing. Besides his loving wife, Doug is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Sandy McDonald; and one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jim Holmberg, all of Cochrane; five grandchildren, Jaime and Chris; Michael, David and Kate. DAWSON - Emily Margaret Dawson of Calgary, passed away at the Extendicare Hillcrest Nursing Home on November 7, 1997, at the age of 94 years. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1902 and at an early age moved with her family to Calgary, Alberta, where she has since resided. For many years, Mrs. Dawson had been very actively involved in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish; singing in the choir and was first President of the Assumption CWL. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her wonderful sense of humor. Emily is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Arnold and his wife Julia of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Vincent and his wife Phyllis of Chase, British Columbia, Sandra Dawson of Fort St. John, B.C.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen Lust, Pauline and her husband John Barker, all of Calgary; twenty-five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Beth Malmberg of Lethbridge, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Emily was predeceased by her husband Arnold in 1980, two sons, Frank and Arthur. DANIELSON - Margaret Sigurros Danielson (nee Sigvaldason) passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, at her home on September 10, 1997 at the age of 69 years. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Magnus ("Danny") Ingiborg Danielson in 1993, and her mother and father, Ingibjorg and Valdimar Sigvaldason. Margaret's gentle spirit will be sadly missed by her five children, Valerie, Ingrid, David, Karen and Jonina and their partners, Joey, Dennis, Selma, Dana and Milt; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Solrun, Kristin and Emily; four brothers, Ingimar, Marino, Barney and Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews. CLARKE - William Dale (Bill), born August 4, 1949, passed away suddenly on May 31, 1997 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judy of twenty-four years; son Lorne; daughter Kimberly (Brian) Forster; grandson Bradley; mother Nelda; brothers, Gower, Jack (Diana), Ross, and Neil. He will also be remembered by many other family members and numerous friends. Bill was employed by Lafarge Canada, at the Exshaw plant since 1974. After moving to Cochrane he joined the R.C.M.P. as an auxiliary member from 1988 until 1994. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. MCLEOD - Jean Helen. Peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 1997, with the family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer, Jean Helen McLeod, passed away at the age of 74 years in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jean leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, sister Mary Studenka and nephew Brian, sister Agnes and Wes Finnon, niece Brenda Barske and husband Lorne, their children, Kevin, Melanie and Blair, niece Barbara Kuypers, children Scott and Ainsley, all of Winnipeg; nephew Jack and Beverley McLeod and children, Cameron and Allana of Claresholm, Alberta; niece Diane and Tom Brown, their children, Bonnie and Denise of Innisfail, Alberta. Jean was born at Claresholm, Alberta on October 11, 1923, and had her elementary education at Claresholm and Nanton, Alberta. The family moved to Calgary, Alberta, where Jean completed her high school education, and then completed a business course at Hepburn Business College, Calgary, and was employed by the Alberta Government Elevators for twenty-seven years, retiring as Office Manager in 1980, when she then moved to Winnipeg. Known by all whose lives she touched as a kind, thoughtful and generous person, Jean always put family first. At Jean's request, Cremation has taken place and there will be no Service. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg R3C 9Z9. McLEAN - Wynne McLean of Winnipeg passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, November 26, 1997 at the age of 81 years. Wynne is survived by her loving family, daughters, Ellen Perrault (Lyle) of Calgary, Lynne Bear (Gerald) of Armstrong, B.C.; sons, Kenneth McLean (Dorothy), Donald McLean (Linda) of Winnipeg; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Inez Holtman (Harold) of Abbotsford, B.C., Edna Robertson of Winnipeg; brothers, Allen Dawson (Gloria) of Chilliwack, B.C., Oscar Dawson (Tina) of Stonewall, Manitoba; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. MaCrae and the staff of Unit 112 at the Foothills Hospital for their care and compassion. At Wynne's request no formal Services will be held. PAWLAK - Terry Michael Pawlak, born January 31, 1951 was tragically taken from us in a motor vehicle accident on December 9, 1997. Lovingly remembered by his wife Norma; his three daughters, Nicole (Chris), Cori (Guy) and Lindsay; and his one year old granddaughter Madison. Also mourning his loss are his mother Anne Pawlak; his sister Mary Ellen Pawlak Cimino (Joe); his brother Brian; his very dear niece Rosa-Lee Cimino; and his uncle Pat Egan of Arlington, Mass. He was predeceased by his father Francis Stanley in 1994. Terry was forever the practical joker, he always was the lighter side of life. He possessed a quiet gentleness, yet his presence was always there. He truly enjoyed the simplest things in life, playing ball with his "Spare Parts" buddies, many family vacations and the simple abundance of nature. He worked hard so he and his family could enjoy all that life had to offer. While we are deeply saddened, the memories he has left us will still bring great comfort and joy. We were blessed to have known him, if only for a while and we know his eyes shine down on us from heaven now. PATTERSON - Kathleen Pearl Patterson (nee Peaver) of Trinity Lodge, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on October 30, 1997, at the age of 93 years. She was born in Manitoba but was raised on a farm near Acme, Alberta. Kathleen worked as a hairdresser in Calgary before moving to Rocky Mountain House and on to Edmonton before settling back in Calgary in 1995. She is survived by both the Peaver and Patterson families. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, James and Margaret Peaver, and her husband Lyle (Pat) Patterson. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Chapel of the Bells", (2720 Centre Street North), on Wednesday, November 5, 1997 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Linda Benson of Northminster United Church officiating.
