CHAPMAN, Winnifred Mary was born in Vermilion, Alberta on Feb. 28, 1920. She passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour at Worthington Extended Care in Abbotsford on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the age of 88.
She was pre-deceased by her son Jonathan in 1968; her loving husband, Frank in 1997; her sisters Bertha (Henry), Evelyn (Ken), Miriam (George); brother Dave (Betty). She will be lovingly remembered by her children Betty (Cesar) Osores; Esther (Paul) Paterson; Sharon (Trevor) Aizzier and Jim Chapman. Her grandchildren, Sarita, Lina, Jonathan, Andrea, Teresa, Sorina, Joe, Scott, Daniel and Katie and 6 great grand- children and her brothers Mervin, Walter (Kay) and Ed.
Winnifred was married to Frank Chapman on Dec. 18, 1946. They were pioneer missionaries with WEC International in the jungles of Equatorial Guinea, West Africa. She used her nurses training to run a medical dispensary and taught Bible classes for women and often accompanied her husband on treks deep into the jungle. She gave birth to her first born in a mud hut with a thatched roof in 1949! Frank and Winnie served God faithfully in Africa until 1968 when they returned to Canada.
Winnie served with Frank at a church in Neilburg, SK and then together represented WEC International out of White Rock, BC until Frank's passing in 1997. Winnie moved to Abbotsford shortly thereafter. Thank you to Worthington staff and Dr. J. Winner for your wonderful care of our dear mother for over ten years.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 25th at Central Valley Baptist Church, 33393 Old Yale Rd., Abbotsford, BC.
Graveside Service will be held at 5:30 pm on Sunday, May 25th at Victory Memorial Park Cemetery in South Surrey, BC.

Ruth passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Abbotsford, BC.
Ruth was born in a small farmhouse near Fielding, SK, the twelfth of thirteen children. Ruth and her husband, Ed, moved to BC in 1957. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ed Smith of Abbotsford and daughters Sandra (Barry) of Port Moody and Gail (Jim) Campbell of Creston, sister Norma Barber of Calgary, brother Cecil (Betty) Ferris of Radison, SK, sisters-in-law Anne of Penticton, and Willy of Saskatoon, and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by one daughter, Linda, one son Rick, four brothers and six sisters.
A private family service will be held on May 22 at Abbotsford. The family wishes to thank Dr. Newton and the excellent Team 4 staff at Worthington Pavilion, Abbotsford for their loving care and compassion.

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Kaye our loving mother, wife and friend went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 17, 2008 after a brave battle with cancer at the age of 63.
She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years John, three children, Paul Bennison, Donna (Graham) Howard, Glen (Emily) Bennison. Grandchildren; Christopher, Dustin, Jenna, Michael, Matthew and Jack as well as many friends.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Kathleen Smith and William Thomas.
Kaye loved fishing with her husband John and enjoyed spending many hours in her garden. She also enjoyed her special times with her grandchildren.
A celebration of Kaye's life was held on Thursday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, B.C. with Pastor Len Doerksen officiating. Interment followed at Hazelwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christine Morrison Hospice.
The family would like to thank the staff at Christine Morrison Hospice for their loving care and support.

Donald Stevenson Thompson, formerly of Mission, B.C. passed away peacefully on May 16, 2008 at MSA Hospital after a brief illness. Don will be sadly missed by his longtime companion, Tim Betts, former music pupils and many friends. An open house in his honour will be held on Saturday May 31, 2008 between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at 36120 Spyglass Lane Abbotsford B.C. with refreshments served. All of Don’s friends are invited to attend and share their memories.

Ellerbeck, Darlene Angela passed away Friday May 16th 2008 at her home in Mission at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her husband Bud, sons Bruce and Duwayne, Grandson Robbie, sister Doreen, and brother Norman. Darlene loved the outdoors, camping and traveling in her motorhome. In her early years she was a very active curler which she excelled at. She loved and played many sports and was a real fan of the Vancouver Canucks. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lydia Caroline Boldt, nee Suderman on May 16, 2008. She was born in Grossweide, Ukraine on June 7, 1925 and passed away while dozing in the sunshine at her home in Abbotsford.
Lydia leaves behind a family that loves her dearly; her husband of 60 years, Henry; their daughters Beverly (Harv Klassen) and Janet (Ernie Doerksen); grandchildren Tim (Dulci), Chris (Dave), Rick (Adel), Angie (Jeff), Heather, and Jonathan; 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 4 sisters and 1 brother; many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, 1 sibling and 1 nephew.
Lydia was the first child of Abram and Emma Suderman and emigrated to Canada with her parents when she was 3 months old. They settled in Hepburn, SK where her father worked for the railroad and was the town cobbler. The family moved to Virgil, Ontario in 1940 where she and her siblings helped with the family fruit farm. In 1944 Lydia graduated from Winkler Bible School in Manitoba. She was a dedicated Christian and was baptized in 1942. She met Henry Boldt in 1947 while working at a summer job in BC. They were married in 1948 and settled in St. Catharines, Ontario. Two daughters were born to them in 1950 and 1952. She was employed for 32 years as a secretary and accountant. In 1990 she and Henry moved to Abbotsford to be near their daughters and extended family. Lydia was a charter member of Fairview MB Church in St. Catharines, Ontario and joined Bakerview MB Church in 1990.
Lydia is greatly missed by her family and many friends. She lived life with great zest, loved entertaining, traveling, walking, reading and shopping. She was a lovely woman with great flair who never looked her age. She shared her many talents and skills generously with others. She volunteered in numerous capacities in her church and community. Lydia made friends easily and was warm and engaging. She and Henry traveled the world over visiting family and friends and particularly enjoyed cruises. She died suddenly but peacefully the day following her 60th wedding anniversary.
A Graveside Service will held on Monday, May 26 at 1:00 p.m at Maclure Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 2:30 pm at Bakerview MB Church on Clearbrook Road.

Mr. Daniel Loewen, late of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord, on May 15, 2008 at the age of 90 years.
Born in Pretoria, Russia on December 14, 1917, he moved to Canada in October 1926. He will be missed by 5 loving children: Ernest (Donna), Carl (Debbie), Harold (Lori), Lillian (Henry) Braun, Dorothy (Dennis) Hiebert, 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Tina Loewen and Anna Barg.
A celebration of his life was held on Wednesday, May 21 from West Abbotsford Mennonite Church.
The family wishes to thank the nurses, and the Home Care support workers for their love and care of Dad.
