It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband and father on Monday, June 2 at MSA Hospital in Abbotsford. He is greatly loved and survived by wife Elizabeth; children Gordon (Donna), Allen (Judy), Marvin (Laurel), Norman (Roxanne), Brian (Margaret) and Janet Roseblade; 15 grandchildren, Jeff, Jeremy, Rachel, Terry, James, Cheryl, Jason, Ross, Walt, Trenton, Alyssa, Amy, Emily, Heather & Michelle Roseblade; 8 great grandchildren; brothers Peter (Helen) and Jake (Anne); sister Elsie Kucher; brother-in-law Bill Thiessen; sister-in-law Maria Penner; brothers-in-law Harry (Kathy) Sukkau and George (Rita) Sukkau; sisters-in-law Anne (Herman) Buller, Elvina (Wayne) Charlton and Marlene (Ed) McDonald; and many nieces and nephews. Frank is pre-deceased by son Robert; son-in-law Nigel Roseblade; Helen (Dick) Neuman, Kay Thiessen, Cornelius (Luise) Penner, Henry Penner; and brother-in-law Leon Kucher. Internment will be held at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St. Burnaby at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 9 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3580 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford.
Donations in lieu of flowers to be given to Salvation Army or MCC.

OYSTRICK, Nick passed away with his family by his side, at Mission Memorial Hospital on June 2, 2008 at the age of 80 years. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Leena and Wasyl; brother, Mike; sister, Mae and his sons, Wayne and Jimmy. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Fanny; brothers, Stan and Isadore; his son, Verne (Kathy); granddaughters, Jodi and Tanya as well as extended family and many friends. Nick was born in Verigan Saskatchewan on December 22, 1927. His family moved to Mission where he met and married the love of his life, Fanny and raised their 3 boys. He worked for Stave Lake Cedar prior to purchasing Nick's Grocery in Mission which they operated for 28 years. Nick's family would like to thank the loving, caring staff at Grand Street Lodge for caring for Nick. He was deeply loved by all that knew him and will be missed. A Celebration of Nick's life will be held at Northside Community Church, 33507 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

WIHNAN - Daniel Blair passed away suddenly on June 1st, 2008 in Abbotsford at the age of 65 years. Born in June 1943 and raised in Lundbreck, Alberta. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce, sons Dean (Tammy) and Keith (Christine) and 4 grandchildren Devon, Bryce, Alexander and Sara. Blair enjoyed a lengthy career in the banking industry throughout BC and Alberta. Blair spent his final years working in his wife's business. He loved his family, traveling and a good joke. No service by request. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the Fraser Valley Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.

It is with great sorrow we announce that Albertine Havinga, my lovely wife and our mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully at Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission on May 31st, 2008. She was born in the city of Malang, East Java in the former Dutch East Indies and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1965. She leaves behind her family members; husband, Iwan R. Havinga; children, Ricardo and Susan Havinga; and grandchildren, Justin and Josh.
She will also be missed by her family in Harderwijk, The Netherlands; sisters, Iet Van der Star and Bep Versteegh-Soer; her brothers, Rob Van der Star and Han Versteegh; her daughter Yvonne and also by her three granddaughters Ginny, Gail, Tiffany. She was a loving wife and mother, loved to do gardening and enjoyed watching old-time movies. We would like to thank the Christine Morrison Hospice Society for their support during this time. A funeral service will b held at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home 7386 Horne Street, Mission, on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. with viewing prior at 9 am. Interment will follow at Hatzic Cemetery.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ens who passed away May 31, 2008 after a short but courageous battle with Leukemia. John was born on November 27, 1923 in Waldheim, Saskatchewan to Gerhard & Elizabeth (Wiebe) Ens. A very proud veteran having served his country in World War II. John joined The Regina Rifle Regiment which was part of the third Canadian Division that landed on Juno Beach on June 6th, 1944 in the Invasion of Normandy. Even though John was a respected Realtor for over 30 years he never lost his love of farming. He enjoyed working on his small hobby farm in Abbotsford, growing his famous tomatoes which he shared with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, from showing them how to build a bird house in his workshop to giving them endless rides on his tractor. These were some of his favorite times. He is survived by his loving wife Erna (Ann) of 56 years, children: Rita Botting, George (Sheryl) Ens, Kathy (Mike) Board, grandchildren: Gregory, Steven & Robert Botting, Mitchell & Zachary Board, and Leanne & Michelle Ens. He is also survived by one sister, Nettie (Ray) Dyck and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 9 at Maclure Road Cemetery, anyone wishing to attend, please meet at the Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Rd., Abbotsford at 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of John's life will follow at the Northview Community Church at 1 p.m., reception to follow. Dr. James Edward Pankratz (Dr. Jim) Solid. Steady. Patient. Intelligent. Man of unwavering faith and love for God.
Wonderful husband to wife Lori, and an amazing father to his precious children: Leanna, Katie, Emily, Steven and Jared. Loving him forever are his parents, Welma and Harry Pankratz; in-laws, Henry and Elizabeth Lepp; sister Lorraine (Clint); in-laws: Ken (Shirley); Karen; Dan (Jacqui); Rob (Charlotte); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins, friends, church and medical colleagues.
At age 3, he articulated to his mother his desire to become a doctor. Music took hold of him when he was young as his father's piano playing fascinated him. From early on he was athletic and academically inclined. He continued to enjoy playing piano; everything from Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown to his favorite hymns, and always enjoyed being involved in sports. He especially enjoyed being a cheerleader for his children as they pursued their own music, dance, and sports interests.
As a student, Jim was studious and self-motivated. He was admitted into UBC's Med school at first try, and completed his fourth year Science degree and first year pre-med simultaneously.
His established his family medical practice in Abbotsford. His career of 20 years was characterized by a genuine and caring interest in each of his patients, and a desire to use the gifts God had given him to minister to those he encountered each day.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Rd, Abbotsford, BC.

ETHIER, Richard Gordon, born August 20, 1932 in Aklavik, N.W.T.. passed away peacefully May 28, 2008 in Mission Memorial Hospital.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Grace, his daughters Patricia, Tammy, Dawn, Joy, sons; Eric, Clint, brothers; Mel & Phillip, sisters; Heather & Holly, all his grandchildren, great grandchildren and all his many friends. Dick was born in Honeywood, Sask. on December 10, 1929 and passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sept. 15, 2008. He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife of 58 years, Vi, daughter Valorie (Stockwell Day), daughter Jude (Warren Hansen) and son Dwight (Lorie Goulden), and grandchildren - Day: Logan (Julie) and 4 children, Luke (Cindy) and son, Ben (Karen) & 7 children. Hansen: Austin, Brooke (Michael Heffernan).
Martin: Cameron, Jessica (Chris Friesen), Tiffany, Brady and Adriana. Dick was the youngest of 7 brothers and 4 sisters. He will be missed by his surviving 3 sisters, Muriel (Richard Schmalz), Lora (Lyle Preston), Marjorie, and one brother, Jack and 3 sisters-in-law, Hannah, Eileen and Alvina and all of their families. He was pre-deceased by his parents Harry & Mildred Martin, sister, Florence (Bert Minnie), his brothers, Rex, Vimy (Vera), Pat, Dennis (Rae), Tom (Margaret), and sister-in-law, Muriel & brother-in-law Joe.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Clearbrook M.B. Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford.
