BROWN, Wilfred Friday, 18 Jan 2008
Abbotsford, BC
It is with incredible sadness we announce the passing of Wilfred Brown on January 18, 2008 after a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Loretta, daughter Brenda (Michael), son Tim, grandsons Richie, Joe, Sebby, Dominic and 6 siblings. He was pre-deceased by his parents and 7 siblings. Fred was born in Canora, Saskatchewan on March 4, 1931. He moved to BC in the 1960s. He married the love of his life, Loretta, on November 18, 1961. She was by his side right until he breathed his last breath. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. His grandsons were the light of his life. We were blessed by his gentle caring nature, his quiet giving spirit, thoughtfulness and sense of humour. He loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He worked in our community for many years and owned and operated Clearbrook Radiators Ltd. until his retirement at the age of 70 years. He worked hard all his life and was a great provider for his family. Fred was a man of great faith and he loved the Lord and served in the Trinity Lutheran Church in various positions for over 30 years. Fred would say “the man upstairs is taking care of things, and when my work is done on Earth, the good Lord will come and take me home!” We will miss him terribly but he will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace Dad, your work is done. You’re home with Jesus.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church at 3845 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC with an interment to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Hatzic Cemetery in Mission, BC.
