Born, Madeline Pamelia McIvor on May 12, 1926 in Trail, B.C., Madeline passed away January 19, 2008 in Cranbrook, B.C. at the age of 81 years. Madeline lived life to the fullest, with many good friends. Those who knew and loved her will sadly miss her generous spirit and big-hearted good nature. She is survived by her stepson Art Sheeler (Sharon), sisters Wanita Collins (Dwight), Eveline Johnson (Reuben), countless nieces, nephews and all who knew her. Madeline was pre-deceased by her father, mother and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held Saturday January 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Valley View Lions Senior Complex, Marysville, B.C.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to remember Madeline may do so by making a donation to Muscular Dystrophy: 7th Floor- 1401 West Broadway, Vancouver, B.C. V6H 1H6.

Sadly we announce that Marcy passed away peacefully on January 18, 2008 at Joseph Creek Care Village. She was pre-deceased by her father, Victor Pighin in Jan. 1985 and her mother, Laura Pighin in Oct. 2007. Marcy is survived by her son Sean Sykes (Tanya). Nine siblings; 5 Brothers; Elliott (Phyllis) Pighin, Ernie (Toni) Pighin, Dan (Vivienne) Pighin, Terry (Icille) Pighin, John (Janie) Pighin and 4 Sisters; Sharon (Bill) Petruk, Barbara (Louis) Cloarec, Bernice (Mike) New, Jeannette (Greg) Pommier, also many nieces and nephews.
Marcy grew up on the family ranch at Fort Steele and was educated in Cranbrook and graduated in 1973 from Mount Baker School and later took Business Management at the College. She was a Sam Steele Princess in 1972. Marcy began studying music at the age of seven and completed the grade 10 Conservatory of Music. She was an accomplished pianist and she loved to sing and dance.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday January 25, 2008 at 3:00pm at the McPherson’s Funeral Chapel, Cranbrook, B.C.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

On January 12, 2008 Dave passed away at the age of 68 at the Cranbrook Regional Hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Trail, B.C. on August 2, 1939, the first born to Hilda and Louis Priore who pre-deceased him in 1985 and 1986 respectively. At the age of 21 Dave took his apprenticeship training at Cominco in Trail as a machinist, later working as a tool and dye maker. He moved his family to Elkford in 1971 to work at Fording Coal, eventually becoming Superintendent for mine maintenance at Green Hills. After 34 years he retired at the age of 54 and in 1994 moved to Cranbrook to enjoy golf and fishing. Many long warm winters were spent with his wife in Hemet, California where they golfed, took walks and enjoyed the companionship of visiting friends and family. Dave was an active outdoorsman with a flare for organizing large social gatherings for family and friends. His secret sauce was legendary, his deep fried turkey was spectacular and everyone who knew him requested his canned rainbow.
Dave is survived by Shirley, his wife of many years, son Randy, daughter-in-law Connie, son Kerry and fiancée Robin, grandchildren Jesse, Rory, Chelsea and Kelli, brother Larry and wife Sydney and nephews Dean and Bradley of Prince George, sister Nancy of Duncan and many relatives in Trail B.C. As husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and fishing buddy, the big guy will be deeply missed.
A memorial service to celebrate the fullness of his life will be held Friday January 18, 2008 at 1:00pm at the McPherson Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook B.C. Cremation to precede the service. Family and friends are invited to gather following the service for refreshments and remembrances of his life in the Refreshment Hall of the McPherson Funeral Chapel. The family asks that in lieu of flowers those wishing to remember David may make a donation in his name to the Cranbrook BCSPCA, 3339 Hwy 3 & 95, Cranbrook, B.C. V1C 7B2.

Shaun Brian Hamilton passed away peacefully, in Cranbrook, B.C., on January 13, 2008, aged 81.
Born March 3, 1926, in Timmins, Ontario, Brian was the only child of William Samuel and Beatrix Mary (Sawyer) Hamilton, both of whom pre-deceased Brian.
During his early years, Brian lived with his parents in various Ontario and B.C. mining communities, and received his schooling at several schools, graduating from the University of British Columbia in 1948 with a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering. He later received a Life Membership from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-scientists of B.C.
Brian honed his skills working at Pine Point and Yellowknife, N.W.T., and later moved to the Sullivan Mine in Kimberley, where he met Shirlea Anne Armstrong. Brian and Shirlea were married in Kimberley on May 8, 1950, and were blessed with 6 daughters: Leigh Bagnall; Leslie Askew; Beth Reid (Bruce); Jill DaSilva (Phil), and Darci Hamilton. He was pre-deceased by an infant daughter, Chris Elaine, in 1958. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, Phillip and Jen Blindenbach, Kyle Bagnall, Amy and Shaun Askew, Cole, Eric and Cara Reid, Lisa and Chris DaSilva, Joel Hamilton and Ryan Martin and one great-granddaughter Abby Martin.
Brian was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, and spent many hours taking family and scenic photographs, some of which were award winners. He was active in the Kimberley Rod and Gun Club, the Kimberley and Cranbrook Curling Clubs and Lions Clubs, and the Cranbrook Golf Club. He was also a lifelong supporter of the Liberal Party, holding Executive positions and being heavily involved in local campaigns.
After many years as a geologist with Cominco, Brian switched careers to become a realtor in 1964, and the family moved to Cranbrook. Brian spent his real estate career with Cranbrook Agencies, and was a well-respected appraiser, a top salesman and a partner. He was a valued member (and later President) of the Kootenay Real Estate Board. He retired in 1991. During his working years and after his retirement, he also worked as a prospector and geological consultant.
Brian leaves his family and loved ones with memories of many special times, in particular the summer spent at Riondel.
No flowers please. Instead, donations in memory of Brian may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. A family celebration of Brian’s life will take place at a later date.

Eonigia Fiorillo passed peacefully away April 1, 2008 at Joseph Creek Care Village. She was born December 24, 1918 in Nordegg, Alberta. Eonigia is survived by her daughters Cathy (Mike) Patterson and Louise (Dave) Coombe; grandchildren Richard (Shannon) Patterson, Brian Coombe, and Catherine Coombe; great-grandchild Sophie Jin Hu Patterson; and nephews Bernard (Marcelle) Audia, Arthur (Marti) Lushenko, and Andrew (Frances) Lushenko. Eonigia was pre-deceased by her husband Anthony, a brother John Audia, a sister Anne Lushenko, and her niece Evelyn Lushenko Brown.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, April 11, 2008 - 11:00 am - Christ the Servant Catholic Church - 1100 14th Avenue South, Cranbrook.

We are sad to announce the passing of our mother Mrs. Mary Linn, she slipped away peacefully on the morning of Sunday March 30, 2008 surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in 1910 in Lundbreck, AB to Pearl and Alex Nasadyk.
She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Clarence, son Cliff and great-granddaughter Morgan McClain. She is survived by her daughters Marilyn Miell and Monica (Ken) McClain, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday April 4, 2008 at the G.F. Oliver Funeral Chapel.

It is with great sadness that the family of Murray Earl Luker announce his passing on March 29, 2008 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital. Murray was born on November 19, 1935 in Saskatchewan. He enjoyed golfing, hockey and the great outdoors.
Murray is survived by and deeply missed by his wife Maureen whom he lovingly referred to as his best friend “Mo”; his two sons and daughters-in-law: Myron & Sandy and Dan & Lynne and his six wonderful grandchildren whom he was very proud of: Meaghan, Brett, Brittany, Brandon, Brooke and Rachel. Also surviving are his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob & Natalie Craig of Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Richard passed away March 28th, 2008 in Cranbrook, British Columbia. He was born in Shaunavon Saskatchewan on April 14, 1941 to Frank and Catherine Kress. He married Barbara Bevan in 1964. They moved to Cranbrook in 1973. Richard worked as a carpenter.
Richard was pre-deceased by his son Edward Raymond in 1983, his wife Barbara Kress in 1985 and his sister Adeline Orstead in 2007.
He will be sadly missed by sons Jeff (Alexandra), Glenn, Brian (Pamela), Michael (Laurie) and grandchildren Zachary, Victoria, Dustin, Jessie, Jacob and Wyatt. Richard is also survived by his 4 brothers and 2 sisters along with numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered by his many friends.
A service for Richard will be held at a later date in Oxbow, Saskatchewan. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 19-9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, B.C. V1C 2L9, in lieu of flowers.
