MacEACHERN, Nicki (Nicole) Andrea Sunday, 24 Feb 2008
Maple Ridge, BC
Feb. 1, 1978 ~ Feb. 24, 2008
It is with broken hearts that we tell you that Nicki passed away suddenly on Feb. 24, 2008. She will be greatly missed by her mom, Lori MacEachern, father, Daye MacEachern, brothers, Josh and Jeffery and sister, Kim. Lovingly remembered by her extended family, grandparents Margaret and Malcolm Gosse (Surrey), Sherrie, Stephanie and Tyler Williams, Natalie and Gabe Harrison, Uncles Gary, Calvin and Darrell Craig, and very special friends Rand, Anne, Chris & Heather Walker. Also her colleagues and daycare families and many other relatives and friends.
Nicki was pre-deceased by her grandfather Gordy Craig whom she dearly loved, and recently by her life partner Ray Dion.
Nicki always had a heart for people especially her family and the children under her supervision in her daycare. She worked very hard supporting herself through her Early Childhood Education training and was so pleased to reach her goal, but took little credit for her achievements. She was a bubbly and chatty hostess for family games, full of stories and laughter. It was a real highlight for her to have her own apartment and set out on her own.
Nicki loved nature, taking walks and photographs, feeding the squirrels in Stanley Park, country music and vacations to Quebec with Ray, where she enjoyed spending time with Ray's family, and could practise her French. She will be sorely missed here on Earth, but she is safe in the arms of Jesus and her beloved "Gramps."
A celebration of Nicki's life will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Highway (corner of Lougheed Highway and 222 St.) Maple Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Vision or to a bursary fund that will be established in Nicki's honour for an Early Childhood Education student, who faces adversity in their life. Light refreshments to follow.
