Mr. Anthony Earl Pineda
September 20, 1998 - August 18, 2007
Anthony Earl Pineda passed away on August 18th, 2007 at Children's Hospital after a long battle with leukemia.
He was born and raised in Richmond, BC and will be missed by his classmates at Errington Elementary.
He was a cheerful kid who loved video games and singing along to Michael Buble's music.
Although his time on this earth was short, he was able to bring so much joy to his mother Alice, his father Ciso and his older brother Jonathan.
His infectious laugh and dimpled smile will be missed by many.
Visitation Services to be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 and Thursday, August 23, 2007 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Parish, 8251 St. Alban's Road, Richmond, BC.
A Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. also at St. Paul's Parish.
Interment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC.
Mr. Helmut Christian Brauer
January 2, 1913 - August 17, 2007
Helmut was born January 2, 1913 in Essen Germany.
On Friday, August 17th, 2007, Helmut - dear husband, Dad, Opa, uncle, brother, brother-in-law and friend passed away peacefully at his home in Cowichan Bay BC.
He left behind his beloved wife of 64 years Otti; his children: Gerhard, Margrit, Erika Sawyer (Jim) and Herbert (Michi); his grandsons: Chris (Paula) and Ben with their mother Anne Bowen; his great-grandchildren Adam and Nicholas; his only sister Inge Heller and niece Ellen Nottebaum (Gerd) in Oberhausen Germany, as well as many more friends and relatives in both Germany and Canada with whom he had a very close relationship; also his friend and care-giver Tina, without whom his last few years would have been much more difficult.
He came to this great country of Canada to make a better life for himself and his family.
He devoted his life to his family and to teaching.
He gave family and students a strong foundation with a steadfast love that supported them throughout years of joy and challenges.
He was never short on advice or opinions and will be missed greatly.
A public service will not be held.
Flowers gratefully declined in favour of donations in his memory to “World Vision” (1-866-595-5550 quoting account #570-6387) a charity he strongly supported for many years.

Antoniuk, Laura passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 16, 2007.
Born in Alert Bay, BC on October 16, 1931.
Lovingly remembered by her family, husband of 45 years Marvin; children Marvina, Myra (Rick), Marvin Jr., Michael, Mark (Catherine), Mitchel (Kelly), and Miles; grandchildren Chase, Samantha, Hannah, Rhys, Emma, Olivia, and Cade; siblings Alec, Anna, Jessie (Warren), John, Emily, and Thomas.

A celebration of Laura's life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 12:00 p.m.
A reception will follow in Sands Arbor Reception Centre.

Mrs. Maria Guihermina De Melo

De Melo, Maria Guilhermina, born in Achadinha, Portugal on August 13th, 1921.
passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on August 24th, 2007 at Royal Jubilee Hospital with family at her side.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Jorgina (Nick), Liberio (Natalia), Joao, Stepdaughter Connie, Grandchildren Antonio (Sonia), Lino (Pam), Gina (Shane), Marcia (Marco), Anecio, Leanna and Alexia.
Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio Moniz, but joined him 5 days before his birthday.
Our family would like to thank all of you for your love and support.
We would also like to send a special thanks to Dr. Conway, The Community Health Worker’s at Beacon Community services & the staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital, who made Maria’s last days as comfortable as possible.
Prayers will be offered at Our Lady Of Fatima Church, 4635 Elk Lake Drive on Tuesday, August 28th at 7 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, on Wednesday, August 29th at 10am.
Celebrant Reverend Manuel Cardoso.
Interment will follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
