Born in Penticton April 17, 1938; died suddenly at home in Penticton October 17, 2011, Pearl will be deeply missed by her daughter, Charleen (Dan) Smith of Calgary and grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessina, and Robert; daughter, Crystal Kitcher of Trail and grandchildren, Justin, Kelsi and Jordan; and by her uncle, Willis Hilts of Penticton.
Pearl was a loving mother, amazing grandma, devoted daughter and niece, and a good friend to many.
She lived life for her family and friends and we share our grief with her coffee friends, breakfast group, long-time friends, neighbours, and phone friends, especially with Regi and Bill, Gladys, Ron and Jane.
A special thanks to Jane for being near at the end.
Predeceased by her mother, Phyllis Hilts, they are together again, and forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2pm, at the Chapel of Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton. Cremation.
Pearl loved animals so much, and especially her grand-dogs, Georgie and Bella.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA.
KIMMITT, Pat
March 24, 1956 - August 15, 2009
Right or wrong, I'm still "The Captain!"
Pat passed away suddenly while hiking on Knox Mountain, the morning of August 15, 2009 at the age of 53.
He is survived by Michelle, the mother of his daughters: Jen (Terry Jefferies), Coco, Shannon (Dylan Christensen), Jaime; and Sam Davies, whom he loved as a son; his parents, Pat and Bea; brother, Barry (Vivian); sisters: Dianne Van Hesteren (Frank), Penny Giovanetto (Barry) Linda Simon (Herbert), Marianne Kimmitt (Bill Rowe), Suzanne Kimmitt; nephews and nieces: Sherry and Patrick Van Hesteren; Casey, Chris, Aaron and Keena Giovanetto; Krista and Jackie Simon; Rosemary and James Rowe; Melissa and Austin Kimmitt; other special people in Pat's life include Danny, Corinne, Matthew and Nana Dier.
He also loved his three grand-dogs Harley, Heidi and Pancake.
Pat was born on March 24, 1956 in Montreal, Quebec.
He graduated from the University of Alberta and became a member of the B.C. Bar Association in 1982.
He founded Kimmitt & Company, operating his law practice with honesty and integrity for the past 24 years, loving his staff as family.
Pat was a devoted son, father and mentor who was loved by many and respected by all who knew him.
Pat took delight in the eloquent use of the English language.
A kind a gentle soul, his generosity was legendary.
Pat loved sailing and music, but most of all he loved his four beautiful daughters.
Gratefully, he was able to walk daughter Shannon down the aisle just hours before his passing.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 21st at 3:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church, 1905 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C., with Mr. Clair Jantzen officiating.
Cremation and interment at a later date.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Simone Hebert of Kelowna (formerly of Edmonton and Falher) on May 13, 2013, at the age of 95.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Louise, Paul and Berthe (Marcel) Gal, grandchildren: Michel (Shawna), Jacqueline (Jason) Lindquist of Mississauga, Brigitte (Anthony) Diemand of Kelowna, Diane Gal (Germano Ferreira) of Belgium and Nicole (Adam) Houghtaling of Kingston and great-grandchildren: Jonah, Julia and Joseph Diemand, Simone Gal-Coelho and Penelope Lindquist, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Also remembered by Father Denis Hebert, Sister Yvette Hebert, Madeleine Hebert, Claire Hebert and Helene Hebert.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Elphege in September 1989, her parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Special thanks to the staff at the Sutherland Hill Rest Home for the loving and tender care that she received over the past four years.
A memorial mass will be held in Edmonton at a later date.

White, Margaret

Margaret Katherine White (nee Sibbald) passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on October 19, 2011, at the age of 83, at Penticton Regional Hospital.
Margaret is survived by, her loving husband, Frank White, of 57 years, son, Rockne White, of Penticton, B.C., daughters, Carol Boleszczuk of Penticton, B.C., and Wendy (Darrin) Craig of Regina, SK, step-daughters, Gale (Phil) Richardson of Coaldale, AB, and Pat White of Calgary, AB.
She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Katherine Sibbald, and by her two sisters, Jean Sibbald and Elizabeth (Betty) Muckle.
Margaret was born in Saskatoon, SK.
She spent her childhood growing up in Regina and Saskatoon.
When she was 16, her father passed away suddenly leaving the girls to be raised by their mother, Katherine.
Margaret married Frank in 1954.
She worked for the Government of Saskatchewan in various Departments including Secretary to the Chair of the PSC and Secretary to Mr. CM Fines, Minister of Department of Finance.
She took time off from work to raise her family and returned to work with the Provincial Government once the children were all in high school.
Margaret and Frank stayed in Regina, until 1967, and in the fall of that year, they moved to an acreage near Lumsden, SK.
They lived there until they retired to B.C., in 1988, first to Cranbrook, before they settled in Penticton in 1993.
Early in their marriage, Margaret and Frank played badminton at the United Church on Friday nights, and played ping-pong every night at home, after supper.
She also enjoyed meeting her dear friend, Gladys, after work at the Wascana pool to enjoy a swim.
Margaret was also an avid card player.
We enjoyed many games and battles of solitaire over the years.
Her final card game was in September 2011 at The Hamlets in Penticton.
She chose to alter the rules and so many laughs resulted from the game.
She enjoyed playing bridge with friends over the years, and knitting and needlepoint, especially in the winter months.
She was so proud of her family and took great pride in each of their accomplishments.
Her favorite place to travel was the mountains, especially Banff, Tunnel Mountain, Lake O’Hara, Moraine Lake, and Lake Louise.
She grew up with hiking in her blood and passed that on to her family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cobbin, all the staff at The Hamlets and also to the staff at the Penticton Regional Hospital, 3rd floor, South Pavilion for their care of Mom while she was there.
A Celebration of Margaret's life will be held Monday, November 7th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton, with a luncheon to follow.
A graveside burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Penticton, following the luncheon.

Siedekum, Thelma (Andrea)

SIEDEKUM, Thelma Andrea – After a sixteen-year journey through Alzheimer’s, Thelma passed away peacefully on May 4, 2013.
Predeceased by: son, John; daughter, Mary Ann; two sisters; three brothers and one step granddaughter.
Survived by her loving family: Gerry, husband of 35 years; daughters, Sharon (Ernie), Kay (Monty) and Kathy (George); daughter (in-law), Trudy (Rick); two stepchildren, Corrine Johnson and Gene Siedekum and one sister, Clara; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Thelma’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1162 Hudson Road, West Kelowna.

BULAI, Edward George passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at the age of 71.
Ed was born July 9, 1938 in Truax, Saskatchewan.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy, of 46 years; daughter Angela Erdely (Don) of Kelowna; son, Terry Bulai (Tina) of Lumsden, SK; two grandchildren: Tristyn and Tyler Bulai; one great-granddaughter Jordyn Evans; sister, Doris Hale (Fred) of Humboldt, SK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents George and Alice Bulai.
Ed farmed for many years in the Truax and Lumsden areas, was a pilot and crop duster in Saskatchewan, member of the Elks and the Kelowna Yacht Club.
He had a passion for collecting antique cars.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C.
Entombment in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

PATRICIA RUTH BELL passed away peacefully on August 15th, 2009 at the Central Okanagan Hospice House.
Pat was predeceased by her father, Robert.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Don, 3 children; Greg (Roza), Mike and Amie (Morgan) Hough; 2 grandchildren, Samantha and Oliver; her mother, Phyllis Shutiak; siblings, Elaine, Barbara (Gary), Terry, Sandy (Glenn) and Jan (Larry); in-laws, Carol (Dieter), Trudy (Bill), Tom (Patty), Brian (Judy) and Rhonda (Leo), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 20th, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road, with Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
