Kenner, John Charles
May 18, 1968 - August 19, 2009
John Charles Kenner was born on May 18th, 1968 in Calgary, Alberta, and passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord at Hospice House with his family by his side on August 19th, 2009. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Lynn, to whom he was married for 21 years, his son; Bryce Kenner, his mother; Donna Kenner, his sister; Laurie (Luis) Flores as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. John was preceded in death by his father; Roger Kenner in 1983.
John lived everyday of his life to the fullest; his sense of humor, joking and teasing will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew him. He simply loved to make those around him feel good! John enjoyed spending his spare time outdoors, usually dirt biking and on occasion, fishing. Above all, he loved being surrounded by his friends and family.
Cremation preceded a Celebration of John's Life which will take place at the Coldstream Hall (9909 Kalamalka Lake Road) on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 at 1:00 P.M.

De Maid, Helen Jane Eileen

Long-time Enderby resident, Helen Jane Eileen De Maid passed away peacefully at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Aged 84 years.
Predeceased by husband, William in 1995 and one brother, William, Eileen will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Nancy Kaye of Prince George; sons, Thomas (Robin) of Ft. St. John, and William (Sheila) of Armstrong; grandchildren, Steven and Susan Koskimaki, Thomas, Sarah, Sydney, William, Jaime and Brittany De Maid; several great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Eileen had lived in Enderby for over fifty years.
She was a Veteran of WWII, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and also the Enderby Seniors Complex.
Eileen and her husband, William, had owned a greenhouse and her yard was a showplace, winning many beautiful garden awards over the years.
Eileen was outgoing, loved bingo and getting together with the "Lunch Bunch" each week.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2009, at St. Andrews United Church, Enderby.
Interment in family plot of Cliffside Cemetery. Reverend Bari Castle officiating.
Following the interment a tea will be held at the Seniors Complex, Enderby.
Memorial donations may be made to Enderby & District Senior Citizen Society.

Lishman, Mary

We regret to announce the death at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on August 17, 2009, of Mary Lishman at the age of 89 years.
Mary was a resident of Penticton, for many years and of the North Okanagan for over 20 years.
She is survived by four sons: Eric, John, Edwin and Fred.
At Mary's request, there will be no public service held.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Vernon Funeral Home.
Duncan, Keri Ann

Keri was born in Whitecourt, Alberta, and passed away in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 34 years.
Keri will be lovingly remembered by her parents; Butch (Larry) & Paulette Duncan of Coldstream, B.C., her brother; Calvin Duncan of Catilina, California, her grandmother; Muriel Bougie of Red Deer, Alberta as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
Keri was preceded in death by her grandparents; Margaret & Charles Duncan and Roger Bougie and 1 aunt; Lenice Reinke.
Keri will be forever remembered for her bright light and smile. She was very cheerful and loved long walks in nature.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Of The Valley Catholic Church on Saturday, October 31st, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Father Dale Normandeau celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Coldstream Cemetery.
Hull, Franc
July 18, 1928 - October 28, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Franc Hull at Cottonwoods Extended Care with his family at his side on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the age of 81.
Survived by his loving wife Stephanie of 60 years; daughter, Frances Olinkin (Dave) of Jasper; two sons: Dushan Hull (Spasa) of Edmonton, Frank Hull (Lorraine) of Rimbey, AB; four grandchildren: Danny, John (Alana), Ryan (Sharla), Tara; four great-grandchildren: Carter, Talia, Brylee, Bria and one sister, Hermina, of Slovenija, and nieces and nephews.
Franc was born July 18, 1928, in Dolnji, Slaveci, Slovenija.
Franc immigrated with his wife, Stephanie to Edson, AB, in 1957.
He started working for CNR in 1957 and was soon promoted to track foreman.
His career allowed him to live in several different communities in Alberta, thus the gathering of numerous friends along his journey in life.
He retired after 30 years of service and relocated to Vernon, where he resided for 18 years.
His final years were spent in Kelowna, caring for his wife and then fighting the battle of his life until his passing. He will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 31st at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200-4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, B.C., V5G 4K6.
Covey, David Roy

In loving memory we announce the passing of David Roy Covey on Monday, October 26, 2009, at the age of 81 years.
David is survived by his wife, Christine; his four children, Kathy Wormsley, Wayne Covey, Lyle Covey, Linda Torrez; and his ten grandchildren.
A funeral Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church (3205-27th Street Vernon), on Friday, October 30th, 2009 @ 11:00am.
A viewing will be held from 10:00am till 11:00am at the All Saints Anglican Church for those who wish to attend.
Hawley, Marcelle Marie

Marcelle Hawley (nee: Lafont), born in Paris, France, on January 13th, 1912, passed away peacefully in Vernon Jubilee Hospital on October 25th, 2009 at the age of 97 years.
She is survived by her two nieces, Jeanette Lafont of Vernon and Jeannette Sorba of Surrey, B.C., other numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bert Hawley in 1986, one brother and three sisters.
The Celebration of Marcelle's Life will be held on Saturday, October 31st, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home, with Mr. Keith Will officiating.
A reception will follow in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room.
