BORROWS, Henry Horace
Jan. 25, 1927 - March 2, 2009
With great love and in celebration of many years of service to others and to his community, we announce the passing of Henry Horace Borrows, on March 2, 2009.
Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on January 25, 1927, Dad is now home with his Heavenly Father, and his beloved parents.
Hank was predeceased by his mother, Dulcie, his father, William, and his sister, Lorraine.
Celebrating his life are his wife, Joanne, who was lovingly and unfailingly at his side this past year, as his health deteriorated; his brother, Alfred and wife, Lee of Medicine Hat, Alberta; sister, Darlene and husband, Hans Mueller of Parksville; son, Tim Lynch and wife, Suzanne of Abbotsford; son, Martin of Los Angeles; daughter, Gloria of Mission; son, Mitchell and wife, Bonnie of Abbotsford; and son, Scott and wife, Tonja of Abbotsford.
Dad had six grandchildren, and he was very proud of each one: Alexandra Fung, Sarah (Borrows) Mejia, Amy Borrows, Jordan Borrows, Hayley Borrows, and Megan Borrows.
Hank served his community through his twenty-three years of work as a Purchasing Manager for the District of Matsqui, and as a founding board member of Kinghaven Treatment Centre and Peardonville House.
Hank B. had the great honour of selflessly giving back to the Program that had given him so much.
A memorial service to honour Hank's life is planned for Monday, March 9, at 1:30 p.m. at Abbotsford Christian Assembly, 3970 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, B.C.
The family respectfully declines flowers; donations may be made to Kinghaven Treatment Centre or the Union Gospel Mission.
JAMES, John Raymond
1920 - March 1, 2009
It is with great sadness that the family of John Raymond James announce his passing on March 1st, 2009, at the age of 88 years.
He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Violet Viola.
He will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Judy; son, David (Andree); grandchildren, Christina, John and Tara; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Gwendyllyn, Elizabeth, Andrew, Larissa and Ashley; sister, Phyllis and brother, Joe; as well as extended family and friends.
John was a renowned steelhead fisherman and hunter.
He was a member of the "Duke of Connaught's Own Rifles" and saw combat action in WW II.
Born in Siemens, Saskatchewan, in 1920, he moved to Mission City, B.C., the same year and lived his entire life there.
A celebration of his life will be held at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society.

JONES, Irene Agnes, born August 10, 1924, was taken away from us suddenly on July 14, 2009.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Edwin; her daughters, Judy Kinneard and Joanne Jones; her son, Bill Jones; 2 grandchildren, Lisa Horton (Jeff) and Lynn Kinneard (Roger); 7 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Brady, Jasmine, Kiera, Alex, Mackenzie and Dawson; her sister, Marie Goodwin (Ross); many relatives and good friends.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of her Life at 1:00 p.m., at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831-28 Ave, Surrey, B.C.
She was such a bright light in our lives, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

We sadly announce Pauline's passing on July 11th, 2009, at Peace Arch Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband, Walter, and son, Steven.
Survived by her loving daughter, Anne (Dennis), grandchildren, Michelle (Randy), Melanie (Corey), Sharon and Hollis; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Cody and Anna.

DOKA, Amelia (Molly) Elizabeth

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Molly Elizabeth Doka, on July 11, 2009, at Peace Arch Hospital.
She passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, with family by her side.
She was predeceased in 2001, by Cal, her devoted husband of 60 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Ethel Janke; sons, David (Margaret) and Brian (Wendy); daughters, Mary Ann Rosberg (John), Margaret Kooman (Nick), and Elizabeth Savage (Rob); 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandsons and cherished extended family and friends.
Molly's life exemplified a rich faith in God, and deep love and devotion to family and friends.
On Monday, July 20, 2009, a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1480 George Street, White Rock, B.C.

PERRY, Delbert Clifford

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Delbert Clifford Perry, at the age of 76 years, at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C.
He is pre-deceased by his parents and sister, Yvonne.
He'll be lovingly remembered by wife, June of 47 years; brother, Jim (Ray); son, Shane (Karen); step-children, Gordon Hartshorne (Dennie), Sandra Hartshorne, Dianne Nicholas (Bob); 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, niece, nephew, and many friends throughout the province of British Columbia.
Del's family farmed in Pitt Meadows, B.C., until Del left home for the CP Rail.
His stories of the railroad were plenty and always fondly remembered.
He began his career with Greyhound Bus lines shortly after, and was employed with them until his retirement.
Many friendships were forged there and many a stories were told.
His love for the outdoors and adventures of travel made for many a trip throughout B.C.
His artistic abilities showed in his hobbies, through paintings, making furniture, and driftwood lamp making.
His fishing expeditions in the Jundee were always fondly remembered.
The Family would like to express many thanks to family, friends and neighbours for your love and support.
To the Doctors and Nurses at Peace Arch Hospital, the paramedics and fire department, a heartfelt "Thank you" for your professionalism and warmth of heart.
Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 13, 2009, at the First United, 15385 Semiahmoo Ave, White Rock, B.C.

Douglas Herbert Muche
(1948 - 2009)
Passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital, on July 9th, with his wife by his side.
He was born and raised in Vancouver, and has lived in White Rock, for the past 16 years.
Doug is predeceased by his father, Herbert Muche, in 1989, his mother, Sylvia Muche, and his brother, Norman Muche, both in 1994.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sharon.
He was especially close to his brother's children, Chris and Kim Muche, and also Leah Burry, Terri, Pam & Tina (nee Shimizu).
Doug will also be sadly missed by his mother-in-law, Ellen Morley, his many sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, aunts & cousins, nieces & nephews and a multitude of friends.
He will forever be remembered for his quick wit, delightful antics, remarkable humour and for his gentle, sensitive nature which touched many lives.
Thanks to the many doctors and nurses who cared for Doug so well at John Flynn Hospital, in Australia, St. Paul's Hospital and Peace Arch Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Dunstan's Church, 3025 - 264th St, Aldergrove, B.C., July 18th at 11am.
