GALLINA, Francesca
April 27, 1948 - July 4, 2009

Francesca (Cesca) Gallina passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4th, in Richmond General Hospital.
She had a brief, but courageous, encounter with lung cancer.
Cesca was predeceased by her son, Dino, and is survived by her loving family: husband, Peter; son, Paolo; daughter-in-law, Sarah; and grandchildren, Oriana and Adria.
Mom will be remembered for her laughter and loving smile.
She was a mother that gave tirelessly to her children, loved her husband unconditionally, and was a Nana that left a lasting impression with her two granddaughters.
Mom was always surrounded by true friends and close family.
She loved her games, a good cup of tea, and her favourite colour was red.
I'll miss you Ralph - it was a great ride!

PLETT Cornelius (Neil)
Nov. 28, 1919 to July 3, 2009

Neil Plett passed away peacefully at Richmond Hospital, on Friday, July 3rd.
Our thanks to his nurse, Dawn and Dr. Chan in the Emergency, who made his last day and ours with him, so comfortable.
He will be missed by his surviving family: his children, Lorna, Donald, Robert, Jim and Nancy and their spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his wife, Alma (Gertie) Plett and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He came to Canada in 1929, as part of the Russian Mennonite immigration, and grew up in Alberta, moving to B.C., after he married Hilda Unger.
He enjoyed a full life and retirement, driving a bus for Richmond seniors for 10 years and building wind-operated pieces for his back yard.
Highlights lately were meeting his son, Donald, for breakfast every day, and driving his scooter to visit his wife, Gertie, in Minoru Residence, every afternoon.
The memorial service will be held at Richmond Pentecostal Church, 9300 Westminster Highway, at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, July 11th, 2009.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to his favourite charity, the Union Gospel Mission, at 161 East Cordova Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6A 1L9; 604-253-3323; www.ugm.ca

Our loss is immense.
Susan was the most caring, loving, honest, positive, humorous and compassionate person you could ever know.
She loved life, friends, bridge, cruises, travel, reading, cats, gardening, shopping, dining, and most of all her family.
There will be a Celebration of Susan's life at Quilchena Golf Course on Monday, July 27, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Susan's memory to your favourite charity, or Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, or B.C. Children's Hospital.
The family would like to thank the superb doctors and staff at Lions Gate Hospital for their care and kindness, and in particular, Dr. Shaw for helping us through a tough time.

Shirley Dunn (nee Lindskog)
November 23, 1947 - June 21, 2009

On June 21, 2009, with daughter Chris and her sisters by her side, Shirley went to be with her beloved soulmate, John Dunn. She leaves behind a small army of family and friends that loved, laughed, shopped and lunched with her and will miss her always. Donna and the HOW Girls were an essential part of the happiness that Shirley enjoyed over the last few years.
Shirley was born November 23, 1947, in Quebec City, to the late Marge and Gordon Lindskog.
Moving from Winnipeg in 1966, Shirley, along with her husband, John, founded Lulu Island Designs on Stevenson Landing.
Shirley's homes were always show places with wonderful colours and beautiful decor.
Her wardrobe was ever-changing and she always had the right thing to wear with the perfect jewellery.
Shirley loved shopping for clothes, jewellery, shoes or food.
There was no such thing as just looking.
It was all an adventure.
Shirley loved being a mother and was wild about being a grandmother.
Special thanks to the staff of ICU at Peace Arch Hospital.
We could not have asked for more kindness and compassion during Shirl's last few days.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at Victory Memorial Park 14831-28 Ave, Surrey B.C., on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 10 a.m.
Please wear bright colours and help us honour Shirley's life and individuality.

Go be with John and Mom and know we are alright.
