MILLER - Lillian passed away peacefully December 10, 2000 at Delta Hospital, Delta, B.C. Born April 12, 1913, she lived in Winnipeg until moving to White Rock, B.C. in 1985 with her husband, Sid, who predeceased her in 1992. Lil is survived by daughter Marilynn (and her husband Roy) Stover of Edmonton; son Curtis (and his wife Helen) of Surrey, B.C.; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She wintered in Weslaco, Texas and made many friends there until she suffered a massive stroke December 1995. Marilynn and Roy Stover continue to winter at the same park. A memorial service will be held at Magic Valley Trailer Park, 2300 East Hwy 83, Weslaco, Texas on Sunday, December 17. Lil was grateful for the care and activities at Delta E.C.U. Donations to the Delta Hospital Auxiliary or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada would be appreciated.

MOI - Shelt Him, aged 88, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2000. Predeceased by husband Kung Hoong in 1975. Survived by sons, Robert (Dale), Lawrence and Victor (Donna); daughter Susan (Robert) Hum; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, Vancouver, on December 14, 7:00 -9:00 pm. Funeral service at Glenhaven on December 15th at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby.

MACEY - Stewart Robert, born July 15, 1926, passed away June 6, 2000 in St. Joseph's General Hospital. Born and raised in Vancouver, Bob married his devoted wife Lois (Johannson) in 1948. Together they raised 6 children in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver until moving their family to Qualicum Bay in 1971. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, proud of his family, home and livelihood. He instilled his strong sense of values, work ethic and humour in those he loved. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Lois; by his sons David of Portland, Oregon, Matt (Janet) of Comox, Mark (Tamie) of Qualicum Bay, Scott of Whitehorse, Yukon; daughters Leanne Brunt of Campbell River and Lynette (David) Twigge of Qualicum Bay; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by his sister Louise (Harry) Monroe of Maderia Park and brothers Don (Dorothy) of Vancouver and Roy (Penny) of Fanny Bay; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 211, Bowser, B.C., Saturday, June 10, 2000 at 1:00 o'clock. The family request no flowers, in lieu of which, donations may be made to the North Central Island Chapter of the ALS Society of B.C.

WILSON - Hugh Trotter passed away suddenly on June 5, 2000 at UBC Hospital. Survived by his loving wife Kay of 50 years. He served in the RCAF and RAF for 27 years. He also served in Vietnam on Truce Commission during the Vietnam Conflict. After his military career he worked for Canada ManPower for over 30 years. At his request, no services. YAMAMOTO - Fusako, born November 19, 1907, passed away June 3, 2000. Predeceased by husband Takeshi and daughters Grayce and Kay. Survived by son Kiyoshi of Toronto, son-in-law Peter Pulis of San Francisco, daughter Marion (Kazuo), grandchildren Allison (Eugene), Steven, David (Cynthia), Naomi (Joe) and a great-granddaughter Katrina. She was a long time resident of Slocan, B.C. where she leaves many good friends. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the 3rd Floor staff of Little Mountain Place and 3rd Floor staff of St. Vincent's Langara for their exceptional care and kindness. PEDERSON - Ethel Patricia, "Pat", (nee Annesley), died peacefully at 7:17 pm on Wednesday, April 26, 2000 in ICU 2 at the Vancouver General Hospital. She is sorely missed by her husband of 46 years, Gary, and their children, Carolyn (Michael Coombes), David (Barbara), Ann (Sandy Macdonald) and Paul (Judy Szemethy) as well as her three grandchildren, Nicholas Dean Pederson and Emily Francine and Kariann Grace Szemethy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Fiona LeVecque, Richard Ackrill, and Michael and Brian Inness. Pat was born Nov. 22, 1927 at Blundell Sands, Lancashire; she and her late sister, Eileen, were evacuated to Canada in July 1940, going home in 1945. She returned to Canada in 1949 and graduated from UBC in Home Economics in 1954. After marrying and raising her children, Pat worked for The [Vancouver Sun] as a Home Economist in the Edith Adams Cottage of the time, retiring in 1992. She was a popular member of the University Women's Club of Vancouver and of Phrateres. She was an expert cook, much in demand, and loved theatre, ballet, opera and travel. She became gravely ill on March 9 and fought what became ARDS valiantly. The family wish to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors in ICU 2 with special notice and gratitude to Kelly White, RN, for her kindness. We also wish to record our appreciation for the good wishes and support of our friends, in particular, Hugh and Noreen Green, during the ordeal of the illness. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the University Women's Club of Vancouver or The VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. A Memorial service is to be held at the University Women's Club at Hycroft, 1489 McRae Avenue, Vancouver, at 1 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2000. POLLOCK (nee RAKITA) - Regina passed away peacefully at home on April 30th, 2000, at the age of 48, after a long and courageous struggle with breast cancer. Regina was born in Bamberg, Germany on September 15th, 1951. She was predeceased by her father John, and survived by her mother Margaret, her husband Earl, children Krista and Scott, sisters Renate (Ron) and Nelly (Tim). She was a dedicated wife, mother and was well known as a manager of CURRENT ladies wear stores. Many people trusted and admired her knowledge of fashion and her passion for her work. She will be fondly remembered as an energetic and caring person by all who knew her. People were her prime interest and to know her was to be her friend. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Rd., Richmond, B.C. on Thursday, May 4th at 2:30 p.m., followed by a reception in the Reception Centre.
